Aura blinked. That was different.

"I'm sure everything will be fine," she said after a moment. "You're more than capable of running things." She was a bit disappointed that he would be so busy for a while, but she knew it was a good opportunity for him. So she would put up with it.

Sesshomaru nodded a little. "I am not concerned about that," he said quietly, looking at her.

And he wasn't. He didn't want to leave her and Katsuro.

Aura nodded a bit. She knew what he was thinking about.

"Don't worry," she said. "We can manage." Going over to him, she gave him a kiss. "Besides, you won't be busy all the time."

Sesshomaru nodded, pulling her closer. "True," he said quietly. "And I can take you and Katsuro with me, at least on some of the trips." He wouldn't be dragging them all over the country, but he was definitely planning on taking them with him to see the dragons again.

"I'd like that," Aura replied, cuddling a bit closer. "And I think Katsuro would, too." He was still a shy pup, so it would probably be good to take him along places, and Aura didn't mind traveling.

Sesshomaru nodded. "It'll be good to get him used to others," he agreed. "And let the others see him."

Aura nodded as well.

"That's what I was thinking," she said. "Going on the trips will be good for him." After a moment, she grinned a bit and looked at him. "So, how starved for attention do you think Ah-Un will act?"

Sesshomaru snorted. "As if they haven't seen us in years, I'm sure," he said, his voice dry. He was used to that. But he knew Ah-Un would be okay around the pup, so at least he didn't have to worry about that.

"They miss you," Aura teased gently. She rolled her eyes slightly. "And I'm sure we'll hear it from Katashi for a while, for not visiting sooner."

"Undoubtedly." Sesshomaru looked more amused at that, though. Katashi had always been a friend, and Sesshomaru didn't mind his fussing and teasing.

Aura smiled slightly.

"Well, whenever you plan to take a trip out, I'll have Katsuro ready to go," she said. The pup was napping at the moment, but she knew there wasn't enough time left that day to go out to the herds. The next day would be the earliest they could go.

Sesshomaru nodded. "Perhaps tomorrow, then," he decided. That would give him some time to go over the books and see how things were going so he'd be all caught up.

Aura nodded.

"Sounds good, then," she said. She cuddled a bit closer, glad to have a little bit of time just for him. She loved their son very much, but she did like time just with her mate, too.

Sesshomaru smiled a little and stayed there quite happily, content to just stay with her for a little while. He could always do the work later on.

Aura stayed there as well, enjoying it.

The next day, she made sure to have Katsuro ready to go. The pup wasn't used to getting up early, and was asleep against her shoulder, but she was sure he would wake up once they got to the dragon grounds.

Sesshomaru waited until Aura was ready before he scooped them both up, starting to run towards the dragon grounds. He was rather looking forward to seeing Katashi's face when he saw the pup.

It only took a few hours to get to the dragon grounds, and Sesshomaru stopped a little ways back so that he would have some time to grab Ah-Un before the dragons could try to tackle his family.

Aura held on to Katsuro the whole time. The pup slept against her shoulder, lulled by the surprisingly smooth motion of the running. She figured he would wake up when they arrived.

She got her feet under her quickly when her mate set her down. She knew how Ah-Un tended to greet everyone, after all.

Sesshomaru moved in the way to catch Ah-Un, talking quietly to them for a few moments and letting them frolick around him before he pulled them under control again.

"Ah-Un, this is my son," he said, the implications to play nicely clear in his voice.

Ah-Un blinked and leaned down to sniff at Katsuro and Aura both. Aura they remembered, but she was holding a pup so they couldn't greet her as enthusiastically as they'd greeted Sesshomaru.

Aura smiled when she saw Ah-Un, and managed to hold out one hand for them. She was glad they didn't try to bowl her over, though. Using one hand, she gave each of them attention in turn.

Ah-Un purred, clearly enjoying the attention. Ah snuffled at Katsuro, clearly curious, while Un enjoyed attention from Aura.

The noise from the dragon woke Katsuro, who whined a bit and snuggled closer to his mother. Clearly, he wasn't a happy pup when he was woken up, and he didn't care that there was another creature there. His parents were both there, so he was safe. That was all that mattered for him to go back to sleep again.

Ah-Un both blinked at that and watched the pup, clearly still curious about the little pup. But they left him alone for now with one warning sound from Sesshomaru.

After letting the dragon(s) look at the pup for a few more moments, Aura went over to Sesshoumaru.

"Ready to keep going when you are," she said. She figured Katsuro would be in a better mood in a little bit, once he was allowed to nap a little more.

Sesshomaru nodded and led the way over to the buildings again. Katashi came out to greet them, grinning.

"Well, well! Decided to grace us with your presence again, have you?" Katashi grinned at Sesshomaru.

"Indeed. I thought it about time that you met my son."

"Son?" Katashi's eyebrows shot up.

Aura grinned.

"A little unexpected, but yeah," she said. She nudged Katsuro slightly and the pup whined softly, but he woke up and stayed awake. He blinked sleepily and looked around.
