Socialism seems like a great idea- everyone functions as a whole so that we no longer need a government- and if life were like Woodstock, I think it would work. I just finished seeing a documentary about Woodstock, where everyone listened to music for three days in a row, did a BUNCH of drugs, ate free food, and helped each other out. But here's why Woodstock can't be the real world: nothing is free. And people eventually gripe about labor. And those that gripe cause problems for the rest of us. That's just how the world works.

But out of curiosity, how do you see a democratic socialistic government functioning? Explain please.

Me and my friend were talking about this earlier.
What happens is, everyone gets a job. They get paid on their TIER LEVEL. Like 20 levels or so. Like if you were a janitor you would get paid at a tier level 1. If you were a scientist you'd get paid like tier level 20... Each level is paid differently however all payments are the same. And all companies are ran by the government. All extra profit made from the companies will be distributed to EVERYONE, thus no one goes homeless.

However the money you made from your tier level you keep. Rest goes to the government to spread out to keep the people happy.

Huh, sort of like the tax brackets. I like it. Makes everything much simpler. How would you decide what Tier someone was on, though, with so many different jobs out there?

Were talking about making a whole new country here, so it could be quite difficult to progress. However all the jobs the government decides on what tier you will have. There also could be promotion of tiers, say you worked as a janitor for 5 years then you can get promoted to tier 2.

If your trying to make a new business or service you would have to confront it to the government, and they will decide what tier you will be.

And then you'd have people saying that the government can't interfere with their business.
