The guy hit the ground before he knew what hit him. "Yes I know the expression, but I'm not going after an ordanary girl now am I?" He said as he got back to his feet and popped his neck. "I like it when my dinner has a little kick" he said as he charged rather quickly right at her.
Alex was fighting the door and it wouldn't budge one bit. He was starting to worry, what if she did show up.. how would she know and what did he mean but a tasty dinner? Those were all the thought going through how head. The door busted open as the guy came flying through it. His almost lifeless body landing on Alex.

Grace smirked. She punched the guy in the face, breaking his nose, then pulled back and side-kicked him . By the time the time the fight was done the guy was more than half way dead and she looked beat up as well but not nearly as bad the guy. Her wings had come out at some point and they were wounded but they didn't hurt. Grace looked up when she saw Alex and did her best to hide her wings from his eye-contact. "You're alright?"

Alex rolled the guy off him and got up. "Yea I'm fine.. what about you?" He asked. His cheeks were Brussels and he had dried blood down the side of his head but he looked better than what she did. He walked over to her, it kind of hurt him to see her like that but she did just save him. "How did you know I was in trouble? " he asked, it was the main thing in his head right away.

The guy tried to get back to his feet. "To he'll with you angel" he spat before charging one last time with all the strangth he had. He wasn't fast enough though because his run ended with alex's fist to his broken nose.

Grace smirked lightly and shook her head. "I've been worse." She replied, being serious and joking at the same time. "I got a feeling... Because we're friends." She answered, not really looking at him. Grace switched her gaze to the guy and smirked. "Say hi to Lucifer for me." She said before the guy took the final blow from Alex.

Alex heard grace's comment just before his punch kinected with the guys face. That punch was different then the first ones, this guy didn't just hit, but he hit and slowly turned to black goo. "the the hell?" he said as he shook the stuff off his hand. He looked over at her "that was weird, normally people would die and go to this.." he said pointing to waire the guy was. "what's going on?" he asked not quiet comprehending the real facts.

Grace shook her head and sighed quickly, mostly to herself. "The thing is though..." She winced a little when her wings came out of hiding. "We're not normal." She was planning on telling him, just not like this... "Don't get me wrong, I don't know who he is or where he came from, but somehow I have feeling you're involved now.. with whatever the hell happened today.." Grace said quietly after adjusting herself so she could stand in a position that didn't hurt.

Alex stepped back as he saw wings come out of her back. 'thats what he mean by angel.' Alex thought to himself. Seeing how she looked still hurt him. "I first thought of you as an angel, but not in the real aspect.." he said with a chuckle, he knew that had to have sounded lame. "if I am in this now, then we better get you fixed up." he said as he stepped closer to her again. If something was going to happen, they would have to be ready, and if they were both hurt it would be tough. He offered out his hand once again. "shall we head back?" he asked her with a small smile.

Grace smirked a little. ~Even when angels hide, their essence is still strong.~ She thought to herself before looking at Alex and nodding lightly. "We shall." Grace answered quietly and gently took his hand.

Jack the rabbit was at the apartment sitting on the couch and pretty much stared down the door as he waited for his partner to return.

Alex smiled as they walked slowly back to her place. He stopped outside again. "thanks again for saving me." he said. His body was killing him, but if it wasn't for her, he would be there to worry about it. "not sure how to repay you for that." he did know what to do next. If he was just pulled into whatever is going on, he didn't know where he could help or what he would be able to do without getting in her way.

"You saved me and bought me dinner, I saved you." Grace said quietly before hugging him gently and pulling away just as fast then opened her door. "Why don't you stay here with Jack and I for the night?"

The short hug kind of surprised him, but hem smile and hugged back quick before she pulled away. "sure, I'll stay as long as he don't mind." Alex said with a Jesuits toward jack and a small smile. She was being so nice to him, and he couldn't help but to take her offer. He walked in the room and waited for her. He was not afraid of death because he would be with his parents again, but he was still happy that she did save him.

Jack's little bob-tail wagged and he made happy little rabbit noises. Grace walked inside and closed the door. Jack turned his attention to Grace then looked back at Alex. They both looked beat up but he was glad they were okay. There were still a few boxes laying around and she sighed. "Forgive the mess, we're still getting situated.." Grace said quietly. Jack tilted his head curiously.

"no biggie." Alex said with a smile. "how long you been here?" he asked "I mean rant angels supposed to be hidden to humans?" he was curious. She was something more than he expected at first glance. She had the looks and the halo to back it up, literally. He rubbed his eyes, and scratched at his dry blood. "sorry about tonight." he said and really did feel bad about having her get hurt over him.

"A few days." Grace answered quietly as she walked into the bathroom and and turned on the sink water to wash her face and tend to her wings. The other wounds were nothing but scratches to her. "Yes, angels are supposed to be hidden from humans... I'm not really sure what happened. One moment I'm up in the clouds with Jack and the next I'm sleeping in this apartment with all my stuff in boxes." She replied to his curiosity with a slight smirk. This lost angel didn't have a halo, just wings and the essence angels always have. When Grace was finished she turned the water off and went to sit on the couch beside her buddy from her realm. "Don't worry about it, I'm serious." She looked up at him and managed a smile. "Now get yourself cleaned up." Grace winked and pointed to where the bathroom was.

For everything that Alex has gone through today, he smile after she told her story and pointed to the bathroom. He first looked in the mirror, was nit a sight he wanted to see at all. He didn't look to good, but he was still alive so that was better than not. He washed his face and took off his tore shirt, having an a-shirt on underneath. He walked back out and looked at her. "I feel better, but don't look better" he said with a chuckle as he sat in a chair that was next to a table. "why you think you were just dumped here?" he asked ceriously.

Grace shakes her head when she heard him. "There's gotta be a reason... They're just leaving it up to me to figure it out." She answered quietly then glanced at Alex. "Maybe that thing we killed earlier is part of the reason..." Jack made a shrugging motion. He wasn't there for the battle with the blob-man after all.

"well it looks like I'm in this to help you out." Alex said with a smile. He yawned shortly after. "I would what I should say happened, because people at would will wana know why I look like hell." he stated as he was slightly thinking out loud. He couldn't just say what really happened, and he didn't want her to in more trouble with things.

Grace smirked lightly when he yawned and she shook her head. "Try not to think about it and get some rest Alex." She smiled sweetly. "There's an extra room that's empty. I mean, it has a bed and pillows and blankets but that's kind of it." Grace giggled nervously.

"thanks grace, your the best." Alex said with a big smile. He turned quick to hide his face, he was red again. He got up, and headed to the spare bedroom. He pushed the door shut, and it just hit the door frame, not really shutting. He sat on the end of the bed. "miss you guys, hope to see you eventuaally." he said softly just before laying down. He was beat, was just nice to be around someone again. He drifted off with a smile.

Grace sighed softly so it was barely noticeable. Jack pawed her gently which caused her to look at the little rabbit and manage a small smile. It took a few hours but she eventually fell asleep on the couch without meaning to. Little Jack was curled up with her.

Alex had the dreams he usually had about his parents, but it ended differently. There was a dark figure that was talking to his family. Telling them how bad Alex has been and his father pulled a gun on him. He shot up quickly, not realizing he was on the edge of the bed and fell off with a loud thud. He got to his feet and looked around. Alex walked out of the bedroom and saw grace sleeping on the couch. He smiled and walked into true bathroom.

Jack the rabbit jumped and looked around when he heard the loud thud. The little rabbit got off the couch and his nose twitched as he sniffed the air. Grace still slept semi-peacefully.

Alex came back out of the bathroom, and saw the little bunny. "hey there little guy." he said softly. "sorry if I woke you.." he added and headed back toward the room he was in and sat back down on the bed. He wasn't sure when his nightmares would ever end, but he knew one day he would either stop them, or they will stop him. To him it was a kind of cures, but he didn't know why, he just took every day as it came.

Jack followed Alex into the extra room and jumped up onto the bed before nudging him gently and made quiet comforting rabbit noises. Though, if he was home in Grace's realm, he could actually talk.. but for now he made little rabbit noises.

Alex smiled at the bunny. He petted him for a little bit. He was lost in thought. 'what was going to happen next, things won't be the same. I did just help kill a demon or whatever that thing was. Is grace going to have to protect me now, or am I just something that would get her into more trouble..' he thought to himself. He wanted to just leave and let grace be, she would be better off without him there, he was just a bother and he knew it.
