There are people camped out in front of a few Best Buys here. If you weren't in line Monday then you're too late for a good spot. There's quite a few people camped out here. It's really quite pathetic if you ask me. No sale is worth sitting out in the cold for days for. I don't care what they have to offer me, it's just not worth it. It proves that material items are a major part of people's lives and that's just kind of sad in my opinion.

I know that Phoenix doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving as she's not in the US.

People were lining up outside of Fry's in the AM yesterday. Seems so crazy to me. My bf and his family have to leave early since they have work at midnight. I kind of wish that the stores would back off just a little bit but I understand. black friday can make or break a business. Still I'm sad I don't get more time with both our families together. I'm sure we'll enjoy the time we do get though.
anyway, happy thanksgiving everyone. :)

They are doing that in other states too?!?! :o! I can understand Florida (well South Florida, since it is very warm), but in the non-tropical states? That is ridiculous in my book.
Well said Mystic, and unfortunately I would have been would of those people camping out if I could. Although I don't like being in a tent for more than a few hours, also it isn't worth it at the end. Unless you're doing it for your family. >_<;
Anyways, how was everyone's Thanksgiving day or day in general?

Mine is going pretty good, got home around noon or so, and just been lazing about - opening belated b-day pressies, and being a lazy bum. We're getting ready to have dinner, and I made one of my sister sad as I told her that I can't go with her tonight because I wanna sleeppppp! :XD Ohhh well, can't please everyone.

Mine was pretty well. Although there was some family tension with the people we were with as the mother of the lady we knew kept undermining her authority concerning her daughter. Basically micromanaging grandparent. :s
It was fun though, and the food was tasty.
Tomorrow is leftover and desserts day!

Thank you Ikuto.
I realised the mistake in forum after it was done but that was clearly remedied by the wonderful mods of this site.
But yes this is a hang out thread aimed at certain ages and it was made because I have seen here and in other forum sites the frustrations on having conversations with those under the ages of 18. Most of the ones I've seen have resulted in people screaming at each other in forums, people being banned and people generally making dicks of themselves so I created an option for a place for people around similar ages to come chillout. Simple as that. But like with every thread in every forum in every site there are people you just like to jump down the throats of people and with them I ignore them and focus on the people who have generally come here to chat and nothing more.
As far as I am concerened this is over and if people are till going to be uppity about it that's their problem. I'm more interested in the people who are interested in what this was designed for.

My parents got me a JB CD that I've been asking for and oh my goodness! I'm in love with this CD already!! I've got it playing on repeat on my player in my room (had to borrow B's remote for the CD player - we've both got the same model so his remote works with my player, thank goodness... as I've managed to loose mine, as I'm too lazy to get up to press play again when it ends. YES, I'm that lazy!

We did too.
The home we were invited to anticipated about 15-20 people, but about seven didn't show up. The didn't have enough room in their fridge for the leftovers either. :XD Had to let a family member take them to their house.

And lazing around is good. ^-^ We didn't have pie, we had caaaaaaake!

Calm and quiet thanksgivings are fun :) I bet it was nice being around family again.
Mine was pretty eventful. My bf and his family came over so that was a little crazy alone. Then we announced our engagement (they all knew it was coming) lol but it went over really well. I'm really happy :)
we have left over apple pie. I think I might have some of that with some mocha coffee for breakfast.

Oh, that's great to hear that it went well and congrats on your engagement!

Iku: Hehe, yeeeeah. My brother walked into the kitchen saw the turkey before it went into the oven and said (rather sarcastically) "We're not going to have any left overs... at allllll." :XD
And yepppp!
and all those deserts sound sooooooo good!
Empress: You're most welcome! ^-^ When did he ask you? How did he ask you? Do y'all have an idea of when you're getting married?
And I love being home, no having to share a bedroom with someone, and my bed here is huge and so comfortable! I love it!
And I've got most of my finals the first week of December as well but I need to start working and memorizing them... Joy... why do I keep doing to myself? Got way too many years of school left... Taking FOREVER! But then I get like 6 weeks off, so it's all good. And then go back into the insanity of school all over again.

@hopelessly in love: He actually asked just at random when we were sitting on some rocks by the beach. He didn't have a ring. He just said "marry me" and I said yes. Later that day he bought me a blue ring pop sort of as an until I get you a real one ring. I still have it. He thought I'd eat to but i can't ever. I have a feeling I'm going to have that ring forever. :P We wanted to have a winter wedding. January but for cali winter weddings are so problematic because of the potential rain so we might just cop out and do june like most people.
I've been in school forever. But I know I've gone the route that's best for me. Spent 2 years in a jc, transferred to a 4 year university Spent a year and a half there (so close to finished) and then had this epiphany that I did not want to work in that field for the rest of my life. So, I dropped neuroscience for art. lol oh well. Went back to a jc, ended up getting a job there but could only do that job as a student so.. I would take bs/easy a classes just to be enrolled and keep working. Eventually I did decided it was time to move on so I'm just barely starting at a 4 year again but this time for art. I'm definitely trying to finish as fast as I can this time. taking an average of 17-18 units a quarter and going to do summer too..

I take it that y'all wanna have it outside, and you're in Cali too?!
(Totally not related at all - but the flight from Cali to Australia is FREAKING LONG!)
And I know the feeling... I'm 23, and still at JC--- my third once since graduating in '07. :XD And I've changed majors once... and I can't take Summer courses as I work full time during the summer. :XD -sigh- Oh, well, I'll get there eventually.
Oh, and thanks! Yeah, my birthday was 2 days ago. :)
Iku: Oh, I so agree with you there!.
I'm currently home alone, so I'm blasting my John Barrowman CD my family got me for my birthday, and singing along.

@hopelessly in love: I hope your birthday was fun! Did you get to spend it with your family or weren't home yet? so are you in australia? I imagine that would be a horribly long flight! I've never really flown anywhere out of the US though. We'll both get school all out of the way eventually. Im pretty lucky. so far two of my professors have given me jobs while in school and they fit them purposely around my school schedule. I can't imagine trying to hold a job like in retail or something else part time and being a student flu time. I'm pretty sure no place would hire me because I just don't have the hours available. I have odd 4 hour gaps in my schedule sometimes and such. That doesn't really lend itself to doing a full shift anywhere.
