The truth was, Izo was a loner and that's how he lived and traveled, alone. So, he couldn't really be sure how often it happened. Though, there had certainly been a time or two where he came to in rather awful situations caused by himself. He shook his head, "I don't really know, Max," he said sadly. When she snapped at him, it took Izo by surprise as he moved back a few inches with wide eyes.

Staring at Max for a moment, Izo nodded. "I love you too, Max. Although it's been such a short amount of time, there's something about you that I can't stay away from, something that I want to protect." He paused, looking towards the ground. "But I could kill you and never even think twice. Possibly never even know. I can't let that happen..."

There had to be a way for them to be together, to control what Izo became. Stubbornly, Max looked at the man kneeling before her. So she had to convince him to let her follow him. Not an easy task when he feared so much that he would harm her again. It was quite obvious really, Izo had even said it. And though Max could see where he was coming from, she was also very angry that he deigned make this decision for her even when he knew that she loved him!

She simply wouldn't have it. "Well you can't stop me from following you, and I will Izo. It's my decision to go where I wish, and if that's with you ... Well you'll have a hard time keeping me away." Though not an expert tracker of any sort, she knew Izo was recognizable enough that by asking around she could find out where he went.

Izo stared at Max for a moment. He wanted her to follow him, in fact, if she hadn't said she was going to, he had planned to follow her. From a distance of course, only to watch over her. But now he frowned. "Why are you so stubborn?" he asked. Izo stared into her eyes as he tried to figure her out, but when nothing clicked and his frustration only grew, he grabbed her instead, pulling her into a passionate kiss. He was glad she didn't want to stay away from him, but he really needed to figure out how to control his other half.

Letting out a laugh at his question, Max grinned at Izo. "That's just the way I am." She would have said more, but lips were suddenly upon hers and arms wrapped around her. Pain flared up in her wounded shoulder as Max shifted a little to press herself closer to the silver haired man. Blood loss just didn't seem to matter when you were with people you loved. Or maybe she was healing, or perhaps the Inn itself helped heal her wound? It would explain why she was feeling better, and not worse.

((Sorry for the delay Papillon! ALL of my creative energy has been going into my art and the RRI. Hopefully my post doesn't disappoint!))

Corrine slowly opened her eyes. What had happened? Her head was throbbing and it took a moment for her vision to focus. She realized quickly that she was laying in Dyaus' arms. When she looked up at him to see that his eyes were closed, she became immediately worried. Was he hurt? Passed out... dead? Slowly, she reached up to place a hand on his face. "Dyaus?" Thankfully his skin was warm to the touch, so he wasn't dead. He eyes looked up at him full of worry, would he wake up? She could only hope.

~~~*~~~*~~~
Izo finally forced himself to stop kissing Max. He held her out at arms length again as he stared into her eyes. "I don't know how to control my rage Max, but for you, I will learn," he hoped. He figured the first thing he would need to do was recognize when his anger was growing out of control, and then remove himself from the situation. But that was much easier said than done. "Can you walk, Max?" Izo asked, unsure of where all she had been injured.
Murmuring softly in his sleep the man's smooth features shifted into a grimace until her hand came to rest upon the soft surface. Shifting a little, his hands moved to her hips without any conscious thoughts as his dreams of times past raced trough Dyaus's mind. Soon enough though the fog of sleep retreated. Waking up on the hard ground, he groaned softly until his amber eyes fluttered open. Tilting his head, Dyaus felt his heart lighten when he saw Corrine. "How are you Corrine? Doing well I hope?" The casualness of his words had Dyaus grinning widely now, especially since he sensed no danger nearby.
For her part Maxine was smiling like a fool. Giddy with happiness, the young woman shifter her shoulder quietly under Izo's hand. Wincing a little, she did note that it didn't seem to be bleeding anymore. It seemed that the Inn was as powerful good, as it was corrupted. "I'm fine Izo. And don't worry, I'll help you out I promise!" Reaching out to smooth some of his hair, she bent forward to kiss the corner of his lips with a smile. She'd never thought she'd meet anyone, and though she feared Izo's wrath she loved him all the more when he was like this."You're not alone anymore." Sweet and caring, this man was someone the young woman had dreamed of. Not consciously, but in wishes.
Corrine was relieved to see Dyaus wake and she smiled faintly, "I'm ok," she said, wondering what exactly had happened. She remembered they were looking for Max, and then- Corrine gasped as she sat straight up, her eyes searching the cellar for Max and Izo. Her heart was racing again as she found them, but Max was no longer tied to the chair, and Izo no longer looked like a monster. "I think that guy is back to normal," Corrine whispered to Dyaus before turning to look him in the face. "I don't trust him though, I think we should be careful and watch out for Max."
~~~*~~~*~~~

Izo stood, holding his hand out to Max to help her out of the chair. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Corrine and Dyaus across the room. Had he harmed them too? "I hope the others are as forgiving as you," he mumbled to her before turning his eyes to her again. "Either way, we all need to find a way out of this place, I don't trust it, and I don't trust that man either," he said with a frown.

Dyaus glanced to the two of them, then shrugged slightly. Sitting slowly, he groaned a little when he felt the bruises forming on his back stretching as he moved. "Alright, we will. Though I think the most important thing is finding a way out of the Inn now." He wouldn't be surprised if the Inn had already healed itself, though he was under the impression that they could leave now ... It was difficult to imagine exiting the place, leaving it to rot. His friends had created the Inn to help him, and it was all that remained to him of them. Dyaus couldn't leave!

Gripping his hand, Max stood and glanced at the other two. She didn't think Dyaus was so bad, though she wasn't quite sure how to tell him that. "What about blowing it up?" Maxine realized she was only half-joking. After what the Inn had done to her, she was tempted to demolish it.

Corrine looked to Dyaus as he seemed to look a little uneasy after saying that they needed to find a way out of the Inn. Did he mean that? Maybe he was still the wrong Dyaus and had no intention of letting them out? No, she wouldn't believe that. Then what was wrong? Corrine placed a hand on his arm to keep him from moving far. "Dyaus, is everything ok? Are you sure you aren't hurt?"

~~~*~~~*~~~
Glancing at Corrine and Dyaus again, Izo tugged at Max's hand, pulling her towards the stairs. He wasn't trying to leave the others behind, more or less just trying to get out of the awful basement that was already stained with Max's blood. He shuddered, he couldn't bare to see it anymore. Pulling her up the stairs, he smiled faintly. "Blow the place up?" he asked, "Well that's an idea. Unfortunately I don't think we'd all survive an explosion."
When they made it to the top of the stairs and into the hall, he relaxed a lot more. The Inn didn't seem to feel so ominous anymore, instead, a lot more peaceful. "This place is different now," he said, "I can feel it." He pulled her again through the hall, walking slowly as to not ditch the others. They came to the opening that was once the room where Dyaus had started the fire. The room was entirely repaired and now a beautiful and enchanting place. Everything seemed to shine like gold, and a bright chandelier hung from the ceiling. It looked like something out of the ballroom from Beauty and the Beast. Ironically enough, Izo felt like him and Max were much like the classic Disney duo.His eyes wandered the room as he marveled at the complete difference the Inn seemed to have made.
