Spiders are a good source of silk, yes. :) They can actually "farm" the stuff, which sounds really creepy. That's why I was thinking that they would be textile based, sort of oriental Andean mix. :D
And not necessarily, Rebel. I've never heard of glass being made from magic. ;) And that has the potential to be quite, quite beautiful. But I also don't think that the others have lumber as an industry. They could, I suppose, but it makes more sense for that to be human product.

Haha yeah when you put it like that it is kind of creepy :XD But that sounds really good 83
Those are good points Rebel; and I guess since you're Lord over it, it could be any time period....although confirming with Claire wouldn't be a bad idea ;)

Oooh I'm thinking maybe Victorian era maybe. Good point Angelo, glass isn't really mentioned anywhere as being specialties of a creature, or being made by magic. Lumber is also one...I think. somewhere in the back of my mind it seems lumber fits somewhere els...
but maybe not

I'm still trying to think of what Shaefra would have with the large diversity of wereanimals that would live in the realm. I was kind of thinking that maybe one of the things they would export would be furs, then again maybe not.

I don't think elves typically cut down trees. I've always heard of them singing the trees into shapes for houses, like in Eragon. :) Also, there's no rules saying that you couldn't have a technology even though it doesn't seem to fit in the time period. Like plastic in the Victorian Era. Art is always an option though, as each realm will have different artistic styles. ;)

I know. And I've got plenty more abilities in store. Spiders can be quite interesting creatures, and, as the Lady of the Realm, I was thinking that my charrie would be able to use most of the abilities. She wouldn't be the only one, of course, but the major one.
Good night all! :3 I've got school in the morning. :\

ERAGON!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry couldn't control myself;)
anyway furs wouldn't really make sense because when you sell furs you already killed the animals so they would have to murder each other or something...
When I think of shifters I think of crafty stuff for some reason: wood carvings fang necklaces, bead necklaces kind of native american stuff
----------
Arg school awaits me also. Now you've got me thinking about I really should go to bed
G'Night all :glomp:

Night then Angelo, Rebel! :)
IDK about furs; it could work if the shed or something but I don't really see that happening. I could see Rebel's idea of more native american kind of things to sell 8)

Yeah I can see the whole native american/tribal type stuff. I just see some of the types of weres being the kind that wouldn't waste anything from the animals they kill for food. After all not all of them will be vegetarian.
I definitely can see the ones that shed their coats from season to season using the fur to make yarn and thread.

That's a really good idea! The fur could be soft to touch and be warm too; and the idea of them not wasting any part of the animal is good too, definitely like the Native Americans :) I could see them using bones for many purposes, though not really for trading, but still <3

If I work things out that way then they would trade pelts, yarn, maybe thread. Probably other Earthen goods like beads, pottery, and jewelry. Maybe have some special herbs, vegetables and plants that are used for medicine that they could trade because they only grow in their realm.

That's really good :) I have Sydraea so I know that a lot of coral and pearls and other precious metals/gems found in oceans can be used in trades, but I was thinking something about fossil fuels but I wasn't sure how'd they would get it out to export without damaging the surroundings; it is pretty much all water in mine :XD

Oh god, I can't even keep up with you guys XD
So far, I've liked everything you guys have come up with for exports. As for the actual demographics of your respective realms, that is completely on you; like I said, you guys have a lot of freedom, and you can do whatever you think fits your realm and your tastes best.
For the Spider-realm, anything would work really because like someone (forgive me, I can't remember exactly who) said earlier, they can live practically anywhere. Just think somewhere dim is probably best, and somewhere where they can spin their webs.
Rebel- you may certainly have the human realm. I'm not going to be nit-picky about things like eras or whatever XD You can even make up an era where they all walk on their hands and only wear rainbow print clothes (please, I beg you, don't do that. It would be so awkward XD) Victorian would be fine.
As for what they could trade, maybe some kind of product like rubber or wood?
I think we've got all our positions filled guys! Drk just sent in his profile for Forgus. So, once I get in all the profiles and finish up the thread, we can get started :) I'm so excited!
And if there is something I didn't just address, pm me your questions and I'll get them cleared up for you. I can't remember half the things I just read XD

Well sorry guys for not posting here yet... I am kind of busy preparing for this sudden deployment I'm going on. I feel that the Dwarves would base their economy on (what else) metals and gemstones. Huge Exporter of Gold, gems, steel, and tobacco (gnomes). Also, since they have gnomes, so I was thinking a little tech maybe? Of course, Dwarves would have beer, too.
(Stupid deployment starts SUN... ugh. At least I get to see the world.)

Keysburger- Aaaah, there you are. I was wondering when you'd show up XD That all sounds good, we'll see what Drk has to say since he's taken the Lord's position for Forgus.

@shadowdemon I'm in the US Navy, so I can't actually say specifically where, but we are going to many places over the course of a certain number of months... Thats as specific as I'm allowed to get publically... 0_0

@keysburger The whole disconnect from family truely does suck (Father is ex-Navy) and the secrecy also sucks... Especially for submarines.... But good luck to you and hope you come back safely and as quick a possible.
Dwarves would definatly deal with metals and maybe coal and jems. Dwarves would live in the ground and you would see lots of stonework throughout the land like bunkers and statues. Dwarfes would have many weapons and armor and maybe even guns. They would probobly be huge traders with the humans. Gnome tech sounds like a good idea but idk what to do with the trolls and ogres. Any ideas for them?
