Heeeey guys :)

Alright, first things first- Rebel, I like the idea of a realms fair. I was thinking about how that would make sense since a lot of people don't like each other, and what if we centered it around trade? Like, it's a way to see the wares straight from the sellers instead of hearing about them second-hand. And then attractions and other things came along later, building on the trade fair.

Drk- Haha, they are ANY kind of troll you want. Like I said, this realm is yours to do with what you please. So if you are oh so inclined to base it on WoW, then go for it!

Dang, you guys live all the way on the other side of the country! *sob*

And this kind of turned into the OOC thread >.> But I am gonna make one as soon as we get the real RP started, so feel free to discuss ideas (and whatever random topics you guys come up with XD) here for now.

So I pretty much have Forgus down

Dwarven culture revolves mainly around the earth and crafting. Gnomes focus on engineering great inventions and are extremely smart. Ogres rely on brute strength and are relatively dumb. Trolls rely on tracking and are hunters and gatherers. The terrain of Forgus is extremely mountainous and blanketed in snow. This is not because of blizzards but because the snow barely melts. There is one area that is relatively warm on Forgus though. This area is call the Heater Dome because there is a dome of heat created by the gnomes that covers the area making it warm. This area is mostly for visitors who would freeze in the cold weather of Forgus. Mines and ore deposits litter the realm and there are small towns and roads for travelers on their way through the realm. The underground cities of Forgus are cut from the inside of the earth and have plenty of solid stone and bronze supports to make sure the cites don't collapse. The only way to access these is by using a subway like system by going to the larger cities. The larger cities are cut from the inside of mountains and the entrances to these cities are ate the base of the mountain from which they are cut. The largest city, Forgeburn, is cut from the inside the largest mountain in the realm, Mount Deeprock. This city is the capital city of Forgus and is where the king lives. It is also the closest city to the Heater Dome (there are two small towns along the way though). There is a single volcano in Forgus which is active and erupts every four years. It's lava produces ore of great purity. This volcano is called Mt. Oreburn. The wild life of Forgus include wolve, goats, rams, boars, yetis, and frost elementals.

The Clans are as follows:
The Stonecore Dwarves (4-5 ft tall)
The Copper Gear Gnomes (3-4 ft tall)
The Iron Tusk Trolls (6-7 ft tall)(WoW based ;P )
The Crush Rock Ogres (6-7.5 ft tall)
(Others may follow and i will try coming up with city/town names as this continues and WILL keep track of them)

A change to the hierarchy:

Council with the leader of each race (includes dwarven king(me))

Go Forgus! Good job drk. Well, today is the last day I can be online, and since the RP is not starting until later, i would like to post my first entry (kind of a prologue) in the main thread tonight, if I can get permission. I may post periodically throughout the winter (when I hit port and get my hands on a computer), and I will do them as journal entries. If everyone would allow me to do this, I would be most grateful.

Wow Drk, I love how organized you have everything! I feel like a slacker, I haven't really had time to think out Lunada that much >.> I'll probably post about it later tonight and get some opinions on it, cuz I suck at government.

Shadow- Ghillies are something from Harry Potter XD Sorry, nerd moment. Uhm, they're pretty much creatures that can disguise themselves in seaweed and are absolutely horrid little things. They're mean and hide in the seaweed to try and grab people and drag them under. At least I think that's what they are >.> That's what I remember them as.

Keys- Of course you can post tonight! I didn't realize you were leaving so soon *sob* I'm going to put up two or three more posts for the set up and then you can go ahead and post, I'll let you know when I'm done setting it up.

~Creator god/god of Heaven
~Earth god
~Fire god/god of Life
~Death god/god of the Underworld
~Punishment god/god of pain

Okay guys, so far these are the gods I have for Aradria. If you know of any more good giant spider pictures, feel free to send them my way. ;) I think I might detail how they go about their sacrifices in a sort of journal entry, but typically, they are fairly devout. They pray twice a day and have thousands of superstitions, like if you find a cobweb in the northern part of your home, you'll have good luck, but if it's in the southern part, you'll have bad luck.

Alright, this is the basic outline of the Kingdom of Lunada.

Lunada isn't a very bright place. The sun is only ever up for a few hours a day, and it skims along the horizon, never rising too far along the line of the earth. The moon is usually very bright, even when it is a crescent, and nights of the new moon don't occur as often as they might in other places. While Lunada has access to electricity, it is rarely ever used outside of the Market center or anywhere where visitors from other realms might be. Candles are used for light.

Lunada consists of three main parts- the Castle City, the Trade/Market Center, and the Observitories and Colleges. Small towns and villages dot the areas around these key places. The farther and farther you get from these places, the more wild or "uncivilized" the creatures. The Castle City is where the Lord or Lady lives- it is a great walled city with several teirs to it. At the top sits the castle, where the ruler lives and meetings take place; the next level down is housing for visiting dignitaries, the next the housing for officials and creatures of Lunada who hold important positions. Below that, the housing for servants and creatures can be found, as well as the royal stables. The Trade/Market center is a decently sized area. In the center is the open market, where anyone from anywhere may come to show their wares. Around that are shops that sell special items, from jewelry to livestock to household items such as candles, and taverns for visitors. In the back alleys, shops can be found that operate on Lunada's notorious "black market." The Observitories and Colleges are where the great scholars of Lunada can be found. Lunada is well known for musicianship and knowledge, and this is where most of it comes from.

The economy of Lunada depends largely on outside forces. On the legal side of things, a lot of people can be found working as mercenaries or assassins- most of the families host long lines of assassins and the like. The art of murder in Lunada is not entirely illegal, although it is monitored. All jobs are filtered through a special committee, and if a reason is specified that is deemed worthy and holds up to a list of regulations that the committee keeps, the hit is filtered on through the guilds. They are not only hits for assassinations; the people of Lunada are in high demand for bounty hunting, thanks to their keen senses and incredible speed and strength. A small ammount of money also comes in through Lunada's art industry (music, painting, etc.)

On the illegal side, it's pretty much a free-for-all. Most anything can be found in the back alleys. There is a committee to keep an eye on that too, but it's mostly just for show to appease the Creators; as long as nothing too drastic is being sold, they mostly just make sure that the black market doesn't draw any unwanted attention.

Lunada's government isn't as refined as the people are. Leadership is not passed on along a family line. Instead, when a ruler dies, the Dread Games begin. It's basically a battle to the death for the leadership. The Advisory Court keeps an eye on the games, and is the only thing that is selected by the people. All other government positions are picked by the ruler, but must be approved by the Advisory Court (checks-and-balances system.)

Ranking goes like this (roughly):
Lord/Lady
/\
Advisory Court (9 positions)
/\
Committees (Mercenary Committee, Committee of Foreign Trade, etc.)
/\
Mercenaries/assassins
/\
Scholars and Musicians (because usually if someone is one, they are the other)
/\
Guildsmembers
/\
Traders
/\
Common people
/\
slaves

And information on the vampires: no, they do not sparkle, and while they live a very, very, very, very long time, they are not immortal. They possess an amped-up healing/regeneration system, which helps slow the effects of aging and makes them very hard to kill. A vampire's lifespan can go anywhere from 1000-10,000 years or longer, depending on how well they take care of themselves. They possess extremely enhanced senses as well as slightly enhanced agility and speed. Of course, the healing factor does not account for clumsiness or laziness, and most of a vampire's strength comes from training that almost all vampires will go through as children, seeing as the vampire culture is a warrior one. Contrary to popular belief, they can bleed and their hearts do beat. They must breathe at some point, but they can hold their breath for extended periods of time. A vampire's bite contains controlled endorphins that can be manipulated to give the one being drunk from pleasant or relaxing feelings. Of course, the endorphins can be withheld and replaced with venom, making the process painful and can result in the changing of a non-vampire victim. Most vampires are very well educated. Most homes have a library if they can afford it. The Colleges also have a vast number of public libraries that are frequently used.

That's all I've come up with, there are still a lot of wrinkles to smooth out and I need to figure out something more they can do to bolster their economy.

On a slightly related topic, my fingers are now bleeding yaaaaay.

@ Angelo - I might have a picture or two you might be interested in. They are some concept art I did a while back, but they aren't really too developed since things didn't get far with the project.

Okay, I've got the entire basic outline of Mithrigal now~

Mithrigal is separated into two parts-- a northern Mithrigal and a southern Mithrigal. The Lord/Lady's castle lies directly on the border of the two. To the south of the lord/lady's castle is where the more "evil" magic lurks. The land is dark and foggy, controlled by magic. The moon is always in the sky, and the people here aren't exactly the nicest.

The noble's houses are scattered all around the lord/lady's castle, and they are all very different. The houses in the south tend to bear signs of darkness (ie. skulls, corpses, dark colors) while the houses on the north are blindingly multi-colored. Many of the residents in the north own unicorns.

There are many hospitals specializing in magic and witches/wizards in Mithrigal. Because of a huge medical discovery a while back, the witches/wizards have been able to use magic to heal people. Most go to medical school, and even young witches and wizards are required to learn the basics.

Lastly, some information on the people of Mithrigal:

No, they are not all old and wrinkly. Because they are magical beings, they ate to a certain point and then stop aging until they die, which takes quite a while. They do have quite peculiar hairstyles, though. Also, they do not use wands or broomsticks. Why use objects when you can just snap your fingers and be floating in the air? Witches/wizards go through an excellent education starting at an young age, so even most of the poorest people are smart. Also, contrary to popular belief, witches don't use an "eye of newt" or an "wing of bat" in their potions, ever. Their technology has increased enough to be able to make those substances without harming the creatures.
