my old kitty (14 1/2) happily finished my nachos for me. I think he loves Taco Bell more than me and I love it A LOT!

Draken- xD I had no idea. I haven't been on there in forever though. Clever. :3
Crazy- lol! Cute! My cats would steal sushi (normal) pizza crust (not quite so normal) and baby food veggies (just plain strange) Cats are...interesting.

there was one time, I was sitting on the couch watching tv when suddenly I noticed a furry face coming closer and closer to me. the next thing I know, my old kitty grabs the corn cob I am eating on and takes off with it!

Naw, I just have really sneaky cats. xD When the kids were babies they would hop onto the table to get the baby food jar lids. And then they just steal pizza crust out of the box and random left over sushi pieces. (apparently hubby and I both have eyes that are bigger than our tummys. ^^;; ) They're clever little buggers. But I do adore my kitties. For the record: I only have two. I'm not like some insane person with over 100

we used to have a dog, a mongrel of some sort. He died at the age of 7 just 4 years ago or so due to natural causes. since then my mom never dared to have another pet because of all the responsibilities you'll earn for having one. So I never felt the fun of having a pet. BTW we never get close with our dog. He's quite wild so we kept him caged. :( That's why when I live on my own, I might by a bulldog or an owl.

I also have 2. the younger one is 9 months old.
the old kitty is SUCH a beggar when it comes to meals. he sits up on his butt and gently touches you with one paw with those great big giant eyes. you wouldn't believe how much food he's gotten over the years with his antics. do I ever get wise and say no? NOPE! I'm a sucker every time!
I wish I could own an owl!!!

I can't stand dogs. They're jumpy, loud, annoying, steal food that you don't want them to have, jumpy...oh wait I said that already. And they stink. Bathing a dog stinks. Dog breath stinks. Cutting their nails stink (but...in a different way then the rest of it) I'm just not a dog person. haha.

I'd have to look it up online. I'm sure there must be places where you can own an owl ...
I do love dogs as well. all animals really. but at this point in my life it is best to just have cats. they are independent enough that I don't have to worry if I suddenly decide to stay somewhere for the night that I would have to race home and let them out to potty or something.

I'm scared of dogs. *pathetic*
It's not illegal to keep owls in the UK although you'd probably have a hard time finding anyone willing to sell one. Wild animals don't make great pets.

I don't mind baby sitting dogs...but I've learned that I can not have my own. I have no desire to walk them most of the time as I don't like going out into the elements. xD I feel bad for the guys here that own dogs. Walking them in snow storms and over ice etc. It just sucks. I wouldn't want to subject an animal to that...much less myself!
But then I've always liked cats more. The smell better. :x

what makes me the most irate is when people have dogs that live outside all year round and you NEVER see anyone give them attention ever!!!
OR! when you are driving down the road and it's snowing like mad and freaking cold as all get out, and there is a dog chained to the back of the truck exposed to the elements as they zip by.

Quote:
Q: I really love Owls, can I have one as a pet?
A: The laws about Owl ownership vary from country to country. In the USA and Australia, it is illegal to own a native Owl. There are exceptions to this, for people in the USA that have a Rehabilitation or Falconry License, but even this varies from state to state. There are two very helpful documents on our downloads page, "For the love of owls" and "Owl Keeping". Also, there is some excellent advice at this external link: 'Owls as Pets'. Please also see our collection of Legal Pet Owls.

and that is what I have found about that!

Sorry I got distracted with other things. ^^;;
I like taking care of pets. My pets have always become friends (ish) of mine. So it's not like "ugh I have to feed the stupid cat again and change the litter box) They have personalities and random quirks...just like most people I know.
There's actually a dog across the street from where I live that doesn't have a shelter to go into when it's raining/snowing. He's always chained to a tree out there and I've never seen it's owners out there. It is pretty sad. He's a large dog too. One that should be taken out for a walk, and you know the snow/ice here has got to bother him. he's not a fluffy husky type, he's a short hair... I don't know my dog breeds. xD

I've been nommed!!!!!
my pets are children.
don't tell me that Melody!!! you should call Animal Control or the cops! They will take the dog away and those people will get either a big fine or jail time or both! whether it's a pet or not, animals aren't rocks to be thrown around and ignored!
----------
Yumeh gets into enough trouble whether he's a cat or dog! little pain in the arse rascal!
----------
you know, last event when I made my yan, it was a pillow sized stuffed doll. my son wanted it and still sleeps with it!
