"I am," I said, smiling back. I sighed and got up. "Looks like it," I muttered. "I'll see you tomorrow morning then?"

I gave a nod."yeah ... see you tomrrow", I said giveing a small smile.

I smiled back and headed for class, the opposite direction that she was headed. I didn't see her for the rest of the day, and I was glad that people had decided to leave me alone today. I served my detention by cleaning blackboards, getting home late and dealing with my worried father.

When the day had ened i trecked home. And, as luck would have it, it rained on me. Makeing the creepy walk home even more mizerable. Getting home I sighed not seeing my mom or dad home yet. Going to my room I put my schol bag down.Looking out the window I smiled seeing the rain had staopped. It was going to be a nice clear night. Getting my camera and a back pack ,I headed out the door and towads the large forest,. I wanted to do some exploreing. Leaving a quick note for my parentes, i headed for the forest.

Getting there a smile came to my face. The forest smelt so nice after a good rain. Then started my way into the forest, takeing unmarked trails. True, it was a dumb idea , but I always got my best pictures that way.

Once the sun went down, I didn't feel like being cramped inside. I went outside, doubting that anyone would be there after such a heavy rain. I mostly just wandered around, having no idea what to do. I was just going for a walk, I guess. I was getting my golden fur all sorts of muddy, but I didn't care. I could bathe. I kept walking around until I froze, hearing something else moving in the forest. I turned towards the noise and saw someone walking, but I couldn't identify them, as they weren't facing me. Curious about who it could be, I began to follow them. I knew it was a girl, so I wasn't too worried.

I smiled walking around."wow Howl is so lucky living so close to here", I said looking around.'its very beautiful",i said and began to take pictures of the scenery. Then started to make my way up a slope. I blinked hearing a twif snap behind me. Turning around I searched the darkening forest. But seeing nothing I relaxed. Then continued up th slope. Slipping slightly every now and then from the mud.

I grinded as I reached the top of the slope, a small natural path lead to a clift, that over looked the forest. A smile came to my face as I crouched on the ledged. "beautiful", I muttered. Then ,as the moon came out , began to take photos. Natural light made the pictures I took so much more amazeing.

Then , wanting to change lenses I pshrugged of my back pack and placed it just behinde me,and then placed my cemera beside it. Hearing howls from the forest I went closer to the edge and smiled."that sounds amazeing", I said calmly then blinked hearing a crumbeling sound. Looking down I yelped as the part of the ledge I was on give away. I was falling, i smacked my head off something, makeing me dizzy, Then I hit ground. Looking around adazed, I was gald to ealize that I had landed on another ledge, a few feet down from the one I had been standing on. But that hit to the head made me feel realy sleepy, i stared to the moon as the world around me went black.

I stayed close behind her, finally recognizing her when she got to the clearing. I sat down to watch her, ignoring my dad's annoyed howls at me to get back home and the natural wolves that were just rubbing in my rebellion. I eventually laid down, staying in the shadows so she couldn't see me. I didn't know why I was being such a stalker. I just found it entertaining watching her work. I lifted my head when she yelped, jumping to my feet when she fell. I knew exactly how far that cliff dropped, and it wouldn't be a pretty fall.

I ran after her, using my claws to keep my traction as I slid down the muddy hill. By the time I reached her, she had gone unconscious. I looked around and contemplated help, but I decided to do this on my own. An actual wolf might eat her. Shoving my nose under her stomach, I eventually got her onto my back. I climbed back up with a bit of difficulty, nudging her camera into her bag and carrying the bag in my mouth.

I ran for home, slipping in the opened door and laying her on the couch. I didn't really care that I just got muddy paw prints everywhere. I would clean tomorrow. I went to the kitchen and managed to get a bowl from a lower counter. I hit the ice button on the fridge to get a bowl of ice, making more of a mess as some of the cubes scattered. I pushed the bowl into the living room by her hand and began to leave quickly, not wanting her to see me.

After a while, I grianed opening my eyes."ow",I mutterd then looking around confused as to how i ened up in someones home. Ilooking down to my head and blinked seeing ice.Tkeing the ice I put it on my head where I had hit it off something."Ow , ow , ow", I muttered. Looking around I felt oddly confertable. I wanted to go back to sleep, but also wanted to see who had fuond me.

I spent the next few moments just pacing outside. I didn't want to go back out in the woods, but I didn't want to go back in. I sighed and realized going back in was better. She would notice the paw prints eventually, plus she probably had hair on her. I glanced at myself in a puddle and stuck my tongue out, panting. Oh yeah. I could totally pass for a golden retriever mixed with a husky.

I rolled my eyes and walked inside, trying my best to act like a stupid dog as I could. I thought about backtracking when I saw that she was awake, but I licked her hand while panting and began wagging my tail, sitting down like a good dog. God, I felt ridiculous... And her hand was muddy. Ew.

I nearly jumped out of my skin when i felt somethjing lick my hand ,then relaxed seeing it ws only a dog. It made me smile thogh as I sat up."hey there!",I said egarly. And scratched behind the dogs ears."your a cutie!",I said happily.Then loooked over seeing the paw prints."oh deer, looks like you made a meass", I said then looked over myself."heh, looks like I'm a mess",I said sighing then looked to the dog." i think i'll clean those paw prints up, it the leaset i can do for the person who found me", I said slowly standing up rubbing my head."ow",I mutterd.

I relaxed a bit, glad that she figured I was a dog. I started to panic inside when she stood up. I didn't want her knowing who lived here. And my sketch notebook was on the counter with my books... Crap. I ran into the kitchen, not caring how crazy she thought I was. I jumped up to reach the counter, only to find that my things were out of reach. I dropped from the counter, my mind spinning. I had to distract her... I ran back and stood in the doorway between the kitchen and living room, not letting her pass.

I blinked watching the dog act crazzy ,when it stood in my way I smiled bendind down to my knees."whats wrong boy?",I asked smileing some.I looked to the kitchen."do you not want me oing in there?what do ou hve a dead body hidden in there?",I asked with a sile."all i want to do is clean up your paw prints, I dont want you getting into trouble"

Should I have started barking? Told her Timmy was stuck in a well or something? I just stood my ground, not letting her pass. I knew I was probably acting suspicious, but how suspicious could a dog be? And what I had to hide was so much worse than a dead body... I knew she could easily have pushed me out of the way to get by, but I was hoping she didn't do that. Why did my wolf form have to be so small and scrawny?!

I sighed when the dig still didnt move."yeap im officialy carazy,I am talking to a dog who proabbly cant understand me", I said getting up again. Then glanced at the clock on the wall."oh no its late, my parets are going to kill me!" , said panicing."now i have to get ome, i dont even know witch way home is, i am so dead"

I couldn't help the little huff that came out in a laugh at the comment of me not understanding. I sat down firmly when she started to panic, not knowing what to do. She said she lived a block away, right? I got up and trotted for the front door, wanting to lead her away from the kitchen and the back door. I pawed at it and looked back at her, trying to get her to follow.

I looked to the dog as he scratched at the door. I grabbed my bag. "i swear I can understand you",I said to it and opened the door. I frowned seeing more rain."oh well, i walked in it after school, whats another walk home?",I said frowning and looked to the dog."alright what now"

I couldn't help it as a smile came onto my face, glad she could understand. I went over to the coat tree and jumped a little, grabbing down an umbrella and offering it to her. That right there was probably crossing the line. What normal dog would do that? I heard another of my dad's angry and worried howls, telling me that he saw someone in the woods and he wanted to know I was safe. Not wanting him to worry too much, I stuck my head outside and howled back a quick reply, letting him know not to come home and that I was fine. He didn't reply and I started to panic a little. What if he was coming back right now? I looked up at her and walked out, planning on walking her home.

I blinked as the dog gave me an unbrella."strange",I mutterd then blinked as the dig went outside and howled. Going outside I smiled."what are you going to walk me home?",I asked jookeingly,not thinking he was. I headed down the stairs,opening up the unbrella.

Yep, that was over the line. Oh well. I walked after her, looking around a bit to see if my dad was nearby. He hadn't sounded very close, but I knew he moved fast. Sure enough, I heard him howl again. This time, it sounded like he was right behind me. And he didn't sound happy. I didn't dare turn around to look at him, knowing he was glaring daggers at me. I kept close to her, nearly touching her leg.

As I walked i nearly jumped out of my skin hearling a howl,i went to turn to see what had howled then looked down to the dog who had moved closer to me. Then desideing not to turn around and just keep walking. I was glad when i spotd my house."good im home",i did blink when i didnt see my mom or dada's car in the drive way."strange, they should be home by now",I said worried some.Then stopped at my porch turning to the dog i folded the unbrella down and gave it to the dog."here you go you etter take that home",I said and scratched his head. "thanks for loooking out ofr me..."

I took the umbrella and wagged my tail a bit at her petting me. I heard my father trotting up to us, but I knew he would stay out of her sight. I really didn't want her to go inside. The second she did, I'd get myself an earful. So, knowing it was childish, I dropped the umbrella on the porch and went inside, staying on the welcome mat due to my muddy paws.

I blinked as the dog came in. It made me smile some. Closeing the door i looked to the dog."stay here, im going to grab a towel and clean you off",i said slipping out of my shoes and ran to the linon cvloset. Then seeing a messege on the phone i hit the speaker button and went back to the dog."now lets get you clened up", I said as I began to clean him off. Also lissening to the messge. I sighed when i heard my parents voice come on, saying that they were off on a busness trip,unexpectedly. And that they wouldn't be back for a week or too.I sighed as I finished cleaning up the dog."there gone again, gez we just move here and once again there off ... ",i said heading for the kitchen,tossing a towel in the hamper as I did so.

As soon as she walked away, I could hear my dad growling at me from the other side of the door.
"You had better get out of that house by dawn. This is the worst time for you to go girl crazy, Howl! Get home, and get home now! I'll be waiting for you there, young man. We have to talk about this."
I heard him pick up the umbrella and walk off, being jolted out of my worrying about my punishment when she came back and started to wipe me off. I heard the message and couldn't help but feel a little bad for her. I was never home alone, as my father was unemployed, so I couldn't imagine what it must be like to just have your parents go and leave you alone.
I followed her after I was clean and nudged her hand, wondering if she wanted the company. Now that I knew she would be alone, there was no way I could bring myself to go home.

I blinked when I felt the dog nudge my hand. I looked down to him and smiled. "I'm okay boy ... you shuld go home, i dont want you getting into trouble",I said sitting on a kitchen chair.Then looked to the freezer."frozen dinnner again for me",I said opening the freezer and pulled out a pack of food,then takeing it out i poked a few howls into it and stuck it in the microwave. Then putting it on the timer and left it to cook.

I sat down firmly, letting her know that I had no intentions of leaving. I watched her prepare her dinner, wishing I could cook for her. But, being a wolf, I couldn't do much except sit. As the microwave began to cook the food, my stomach growled a bit. I had been hunting when I saw her earlier, so I hadn't gotten any dinner.
