They all said they'd keep in touch but they never did

Now I have a friend who would do anything for me and I'd do the same for her.
I don't really regret losing all my other "friends" because it meant I got her as a friend

That's the best way to go. Look for the silver lining and try to ignore the bad. Or at least don't dwell on it :)

I'm kinda afraid to start dating because people tend to use me and I don't want to end up being with a guy who uses me and get my heart broken

That's pretty much my life motto
I've been through a lot more than most other 17 year olds have to go through so I never dwell on something that's in the past and I can't do anything about. I always try to find the silver lining because I've learned that everything really does happen for a reason

It's always sad when friendships break up. I used to be part of this really close group, but everyone got into this really bad argument one day. It was during a class trip and I wasn't sharing a room with any of them, so I had no idea what was going on except apparently someone stole someone else's boyfriend. I was still on fairly good terms with everyone after the group split up, but it really wasn't the same and I just ended up drifting away from all of them. I still ended up finding other friends partway through high school that I had more in common with, though.

I'm not allowed a dog while I live at home. D; Bah!

I've just seen my mom go through two marriages where both of them used her.
{silver lining-} Maybe since I've seen how they both act I won't end up with someone like them and will find someone who is true and really loves me

Awww, we found one of our cats that way. She just showed up one day. My mom heard meowing at the door and thought it was the cat we already had. It turned out to be stray instead. We later found out that she had been left behind when some neighbor's moved. :(
