I think 2012 is just like every other scare... nothing will happen... I think that the big corporations and the government make all this stuff up just so that people go psycho and spend thousands of dollars on supplies.

There's a reason the Mayan Calendar ends there, actually. It's a set period of time that cycles. When you reach the end, you go back to the beginning. The term is a b'ak'tun. It's roughly 400 years. And the gap between the current and the next happens to be on December 21, 2012. Hell, Mayans used to celebrate making it to the end of these cycles apparently. It's like when we hit the year 2000.

Which, coincidentally, had its own end of the world theory.

lol, no, i dont think i do. Granted i would be dead, so what would I care? but still.... it just seems like, "haha, your dead! now i'm just gonna smile and stare until you rot away!! XD

Also, as a bit of an after thought, as Remyre and I were just discussing on the phone, it would probably be a really good idea to have our compound/s somewhere coastal, that way, if we find ourselves unable to hunt or raise livestock, we still have the option of fishing for our meat. We would have to make sure that we were in a place that could provide us with a good diet, because what's really the point of gathering people and trying to keep them safe if they're just going to be malnourished? That would make it all practically for nothing, because if people start dropping off from poor diet, having a compound would pretty much be useless.

I agree. Don't want to get scurvy and die!! So somewhere coastal, where we could go on shore and gather supplies, and hopefully still have a place to grow fruit/ food what have you. Then we should be okay!! I can imagine, with people not really able to just sit still 24 7 that it shouldn't be too much of an issue. We just chill with our music, movies, and our pokemon and yuhioh cards.. and all shall be right with the world!! *nods* lol

...And of coarse, we would have to take a note from Zombieland, and we could have a 'Zombie Kill of the Week' competition. XD Boredom is a sin, so we can't be having any of that. And besides, if we keep people entertained, they'll be happier, and happy people are less likely to cause problems.

XD But honestly, that is a good point, if every just sits around bored all the time, you will eventually snap!! And we can't have that. I think I want to get some graph paper, and some note books, and start keeping notes, and designing a compound/ neighborhood type deal. I think that would be cool... Then if I get some good plans drawn up, and I can upload them and see what everyone thinks!!! XD woot, i won't be bored now!!! lol
