Jolene laughed, Yep. But they are a lot of fun. Even though some of the members are super crazy and get into trouble, they mean well and the townspeople go to a lot of work to help us. We in return help them. Which we are glad to do. Erza was just telling me earlier how a mage wanted the magic that lives inside people and sucked up the whole town into something called the Anima. A few guild members weren't caught up in it and worked to save the town.

Erza returned and walked up to the two of them, Well that guy was a piece of work. Come on Jolene, we are going to be spending the night out in the woods if we don't hurry. She was eager to get the job over with and earn the money that comes from it. Turning to Sara she added, We accepted a job from our guild board. Some water monster causing problems.

" Really. I hope to see you again." Sara said , remembering she had to stop at the shop to collect her pay and had to get a room at the inn again. She decided she would stay in Magnolia a little longer .

Hey you too! Jolene said with a smile. They waved good bye as they walked away. It was a long hike but after several hours of pleasant skies and cleared roads they arrived at their destination. They reported to the local harbor master who confirmed that they were the guild members from Fairy Tail. Each had the Fairy Tail tattoo somewhere on her, placed there by magic. They were briefed on how when tug boats went out to guide a ship into port, a large creature came out of the water.

Erza and Jolene went to the edge of the harbor and watched. Sure enough, as soon as the tug boats rang their bells to signal a ship, something attacked them. Whatever it was, it was huge. Erza frowned. Jolene stood and looked at her. Erza held up a hand Wait. Something is not right. Nothing happened to any of the other ships. Only those over there. The fishing ships and smaller ones quietly going about their business was not touched. What is different? Jolene shrugged, You can figure that out as well go. I'm going to see if I can at least separate it from the crews. She raced to the edge and got to work.

Using her hands to create a surface she used her Water Dragon Surf that she could stand and glide out into the harbor with. Then she made Water Dragon Whirlpool! which pulled the creature away from the ships. Then she was about to attack and see if she could weaken it when a voice yelled above her. Jolene wait! Her in her Heaven's Wheel armor flew overhead and continued, It was the bells. The loud noise they made irritated the creature. Let's simply drive it out of the harbor and to some place more remote. Jolene knodded and began pushing her whirlpool out of the harbor, dragging the thrashing creature along.

Erza flew ahead and along the coastline until she found a secluded location. Then she guided them there where they released the creature. Jolene sped to shore while Erza watched her back, then they returned to the harbor on foot. They collected their pay, ate a late lunch, joked about the reputation this would give Fairy Tail, and then got started back. They were going to get back into town really late.

Sara collected her pay and was glad that the owner was happy with the outcome. Sara then went to get a room for the night. She got a book out of her satchel and started to read. She had a few hours before supper to waste. After supper she went to bed early, wanting to be able to get a good job tomorrow and hopefully a chance to find a guild.

Erza stayed overnight at Jolene's place instead of walking the extra little bit to the guild on the other side of town. Come morning, they forced themselves to get up despite still being tired, and grabbed breakfast. Meeting Lucy in the hallway, who was dragging a tired Natsu in tow, they started down the stairs and outside. It was a pleasant morning with a gentle breeze blowing. Natsu was talking about going in search of the dragon that had raised him, Igneel. Jolene understood his passion, as she missed hers as well. However, she figured if the dragons wanted them to know where they were, they would have said something by now. Erza looked worn out. Lucy was happy and wide awake. The four of them reached guild street and started walking up it.

It was full of guilds. Blacksmith guild. Weaving guild. Veterinary guild. Horse trainer guild. Bakery guild. Every guild you could want the services of, they had. The met an old lady who belonged to the Seamstress guild. She was on her way to her shop on the other side of town. She smiled and greeted them kindly before moving on. At the end of the street, on a small hill, was Fairy Tail. Magnolia's magic guild. It overlooked the harbor and was easily one of the largest buildings in town. They smiled at the sight. For them, it was home. The people inside, they were basically family.

Sara woke up early the next morning feeling tired. She had slept fitfully and had dreams of being chased by an angry crowd. She had breakfast and paid for last night's stay. Sara hoped hoped she would see Jolene again before leaving Magnolia , if she decided to leave that is. She was liking the town very much. She looked around for a job and found one taking care of a flock of sheep that were going to have their wool sheered soon. She was to keep them safe in case someone tried to steal them. The Shepard had to a few errands that morning and didn't want to leave them alone, and Sara took the job, even though ti was only for a few hours.

Walking into Fairy Tail, they were greeted by the bustle and hustle of the day. Gray, shirtless as always, saw Natsu and threw a retort at him. Natsu, always eager for a fight, marched over to him to butt heads. Ice and Fire mixed between them as Natsu's temper and Gray's cool clashed.

Erza's eyes narrowed at the two and she started to march over there to break them up when Mirajean called her over. She sighed and went over to talk to her. They were both A - Class wizards, so when they began whispering, it was assumed that there was a new job upstairs on the A - Class wizards list.

Lucy shook her head at them and walks away. She finds Cana, the 18 year old who is always sitting cross legged on a table drinking a barrel of beer. She starts trying to convince her to go with her on some excursion or another. Jolene leans against the door and watches them all. There were so many members. Some had been on a job for a week or even a month so weren't here. But they all, for all their quirks, were a family. She felt a sense of loneliness for a moment, then shook herself out of it. She now belonged with them didn't she?

Turning, Jolene slipped out the door and started walking by down guild street. She would find a job on the board later. For now she wanted to walk around Magnolia and talk to the different people.

ooc: Yay! I found an anime character to represent my character in this. She also works with water so I can use more pics of her later during attack sequences.

Sara watched the group of 50 sheep as the Shepard went to do his errands. She was still in the town and kept an eye out for anything strange, like yesterday. She was glad things were going well so far. She was getting tired of being alone and knew she had to do something about becoming a stronger mage. She had to finish learning the ground barrier magic that she had been working to improve for the last few year. She leaned on the fence and watched the sheep interact and thought about what it might like to be with people again.

Jolene met someone who worked in the baker guild. They were talking when the baker said something that gave Jolene an idea. He had been explaining that the smoother the batter, the more delicate tasting that particular recipe turned out. The thicker the batter, the more rough the texture would be. She connected with with her water manipulation. If she moved slowly and with delicate moves, then maybe she could do something artistic with water. If she moved fast like she normally did, then her water manipulation would turn out like it always did... an attack or defense. What if she could do more?

She walked back up guild street and reached the end. She looked up at Fairy Tail and then walked around it and down the hill. Reaching the edge of the water of the harbor, she stood there and took deep even breathes. Then stepping her foot into the edge of the water, she tried something new. Using her dragon slayer magic in a new way she started "Water Dragon Dance!"

Starting slowly she started pulled up the water in tiny rivulets and creating delicate moving streams all around her. Jolene soon had an intricate pattern built up around her and began moving it out. Soon no one could see or tell what was going on down by the beach, nor would they have cared. Anyone watching would have been entranced by the artful and deceitfully delicate looking tendrils of water. Jolene then sped up the water, making it more deadly. Hidden at its heart, she practiced taking one tendril of water and striking out with it while keeping the other ones still moving. Then she tried to manipulate two streams of water at the same time. It was too much. Jolene lost control of the water and the streams burst into thousands of small water droplets. They fell back down in a splash.

She stood there wet and tired, glad she had learned something new. Now she had something to practice that would help improve her strength and control. Laughing, she slowly walked out of the harbor's water and headed up the hill back to Fairy Tail.

Sara finished up her job shorty before noon. The Shepard had paid her and thanked her for taking care of his sheep. Sara waved goodbye and went to go get some lunch. It had been a while since she had eaten and decided to get some lunch. She wondered if how long she would stay here in Magnolia, she would have to find a place to live if she did decide to stay.

After getting dried off back at the guild, she joined some of the guild members for lunch. They talked and joked around. It was a lot of fun. Lucy came over and suggested they get dessert at the bakery guild. Overhearing them, Erza joined them. The three of them made quite a picture. Blonde-haird Lucy, Red-haired Erza, and Brown-haired Jolene. They walked arm in arm outside and started heading down guild street.

Sara went guild street and decided to go to the bakery guild for lunch. She sat at a table and ate her sandwich , enjoying the fresh bread and the sweet flavor of the turkey and tomato. She would go back to the job board afterwards and look for another job she could do, but would take her time eating .Sara hadn't had bread this good since she left home and started her training as a Mage.

Jolene saw Sara as they entered the bakery guild. The bakers who belonged to the guild took turns manning the counter. This week was fully of amazing varieties as twins ran the food counter together. Letting the other two go order, she went over to Sara. Grinning she greeted her, Hey Sara! Any luck figuring out what you want to do yet? She sat down across from her and leaned back happily. Life was so much fun and enjoyable.

" Not really. But I'm still hopeful that I will figure something out. But I want to stay in Magnolia until I do. " Sara said with a smile. It was good to see Jolene again and Sara was glad she did come here for her lunch, instead of at the inn where she was staying.

Jolene knodded, Magnolia is a wonderful and friendly town. I'm not surprised you are enjoying this place. She thought a moment and then asked, Do you want to come see out guild? I know your a freelance mage, but surely you would be interested in at least seeing Fairy Tail?

Erza and Lucy came over with pieces of cheesecake for themselves. Lucy turned to Jolene, Hey you want to get anything? Jolene waved her off, Naw, I'm good. Lunch was more filling than I expected.

" I would love to! " Sara said with a smile . She had heard a lot about Fairy Tail since she arrived here in Magnolia from the people at the inn. She knew it wouldn't hurt to see the guild , even though she was a freelance Mage.

Hey guys, I'm taking Sara to see the guild. Catch you all later! Jolene said as she grabbed Sara's hand and dragged up along. They went up guild street to the end where Fairy Tail stood in tall splendor. It was a magnificent building with the Fairy Tail logo on a banner hanging near the top. Jolene smiled This becomes home and everyone here becomes family. Magnolia is really good to us and we gladly return the favor in anyway we can. Come on, I'll show you around inside.

They walked through the front door. Mirajane called out a greeting over on the left side at the counter. On the right was a large spacious room filled with tables and benches for guild members to chill at. This is Fairy Tail. When we aren't on jobs, we like to hang out here and talk, train, and get into good natured fights. Usually that is just the guys, but you never know. She grinned and winked. Come on, I want to show you the job board. She led the way to the back of the room to a huge board. On it was posted several dozen posters and notices. This is the job board. Every guild has one. If someone has something that needs to be done, particularly if it requires magic, then they sent out job offers with the reward for them a guild or sometimes to several guilds. When you decide you want to take a job, you take the notice over to Mirajane. She then sends an official messenger ahead of you from the guild to accept the job. That way whoever posted the job knows to expect you.

She grinned and pointed at the stairs, Up there is the S-Class board. Only S-Class mages can go on those jobs. I haven't been in a guild long enough to have been tested at any annual examination to see if I am strong enough, but someday I will and hopefully by then I will pass. There is also a board up there on the second floor with 10 year jobs and 100 year jobs. Those ones are super hard and only one or two S-Class mages dare to take them on. They are jobs that haven't been completed in a really long time. I'm a Dragon Slayer, so there is hope that someday I will be able to. But that isn't going to be for a long time.

Jolene looked around and then led the way to the counter. Hey Mirajane, brought a friend I met in town. She is a mage too. Thought I would show her the guild and brag about Fairy Tail.

Mirajane smiled and greeted Sara, Glad you came to visit. Your welcome any time. If I can help with anything, just let me know. Do you have any questions?

Sara was in awe of Fairy Tail. She had seen the building when she arrived in Magnolia. "It is nice to meet you Mirajane. Not right now really. " Sara said , with a small smile. She liked this place and wondered what the others were like .

Erza and Lucy came beaming back in. Natsu saw them and shouted out a greeting. They went together over to the job board and started looking it over. Jolene watched them wistfully. Those three are a team. Sometimes Gray joins them. They go and do jobs together. I'm hoping after being here awhile that I will be able to find a group that I work well with. Jobs are a lot easier and you can do more if you have people you know and trust helping you.

Mirajane listened and then made a suggestion, My sister doesn't have a team. You two could pair up if you wanted. Lisanna uses Take-Over magic. There are five animals and hybrids she can currently transform part or all of her body into. If she goes out on jobs and works on her magic, then she can improve. What do you say? Jolene thought for a moment, I suppose. How is her fighting with that sword of hers? Mirajane grinned, Not as bad as you might think. Both of you have a long way to go though so you would be perfect for each other. Jolene knodded. It seemed like a good plan. There was room for another one or two to join their group. For now though it would do. It would make picking and going on jobs easier too.

Turning to Sara she said, Looks like I finally found someone to start working with. I'm going to go talk to her. If you decided to stay in Magnolia, you should probably join Fairy Tail so you can become a full-fledged mage. If not, we can get out a map and go over the nearby towns and their magic guilds to see if you want to check any of them out.

" That's great." Sara said and was happy for Jolene ."Would it be alright if I did join? " Sara asked , wondering if they had room for another member. She also knew some guilds didn't have a use for a mage who knew barrier magic.

Mirajane smiled sweetly Of course. We don't mind. You will have to talk to the master though. He officially lets a person into the guild. Don't worry about the interview too much though. Cana joined our guild when she was but a child. At the time, she didn't even know how to use magic. Once she joined, she decided to prove herself worthy of her father by becoming an S Class mage. So she learned card magic.

Jolene was like YES! Hey maybe after the interview you can join Lisanna and I on a job. I'll go find her and let her know. Jolene scampered off to get Lisanna and suggest the team idea.

Erza, who had over the conversation smiled and went upstairs to find Master Makarov. She figured he would be happy to have another person join their family. Especially since Sara seemed so nice and sweet. Lucy watched her go and turned back to the board and talked jobs with Natsu.

" That sounds good. " Sara said with a small smile. Sara did feel a little nervous about meeting Master Markov. She was glad that the members here were like a family and not like her old guild, which seemed like everyone only cared about themselves. She didn't want to disappoint anyone with her magic abilities.

Erza walked into Master Makarov's office. Master, we have a young lady who wants to join Fairy Tail. Will you meet with her? She waited patiently.

Master Makarov looked at her a moment and asked What do you think of her?

She seems nice and Jolene is quite taken with her. Erza responded.

humph grunted Makarov. He rose and walked out the door with Erza following. They went out into the second floor area and then down the stairs.

Jolene returned with Lisanna. They looked at Sara happily and were eager for her to be officially a part of the guild.

Erza went and joined Lucy and Natsu at the job board to talk about their next job.

Master Makarov looked over Sara and asked, I guess we should start with your name. What is your name young one?

" My Sara Fielding. " She said doing her best not to be nervous. Sara knew she had to be honest about her abilities and her last guild.

Nice to meet you Sara Fielding. My name is Makarov. This guild is Fairy Tail. What is your reason for joining us? he asked as he peered at her.
