" It's nice to meet you too. I want to be able to control the magic I know and learn. I will work hard to help the others here as needed. " Sara said, hoping she would be accepted. She had a hard time getting into her last guild , and had to work on her magic before she was accepted there .

He knodded, Welcome to Fairy Tail he said extending his hand towards her.

Lisanna and Mirajane, sisters, both beamed happy smiles. Jolene grinned and started wondering what kind of job they might pick out.

Sara smiled as she shook Master Marakov's hand . She was glad to have been accepted into Fairy Tail. She knew she would have to work hard to gain strength and work with others, but knew this was better than being by herself." Thank you so much for accepting me." She said with a smile.

He knodded and grunted. Then turned and sized up Jolene and Lisanna. It appeared they were wanting to make a new team of three in the guild. He knodded This would do perfectly. Have you found a job yet or were you wanting to relax for awhile?

Jolene made a fist, We are going to go look at the board right now. We wanted Sara to come with us. She felt a warm place inside of her grow. She was making friends. That made her really happy inside and she couldn't help the grin that spread on her face.

Makarov knodded and thought a moment. They would do as well as any. It would be good for them and help build bonds of friendship among each other. Also it would help with their abilities. But before he told them about that, he had once last official thing to do.

Turning to Sara he said, Now that you are an official member of Fairy Tail, I have a gift for you. He raised his hand and cast a spell. Sara's shoulder glowed and glitter fell away. Now on her shoulder was the symbol of Fairy Tail in a color that suited Sara. Everyone you meet will know you belong to our guild. Knowing this, behave in a manner that honors us. Sometimes you will win, sometimes you will fail. How you treat others and act yourself in these times are important. For every time is a learning experience.

He sighed, better explain to them what he had in mind. I have a job for you. I think you are up to the task. Come with me. Let us go upstairs to my office. He turned and started towards the stairs.

Sara nodded understanding that she was now a member of Fairy Tail . She was glad to have been accepted and hoped to fit in. She turned to Jolene and smiled . She was glad to be a part of a family .

Jolene smiled back and they followed Makarov up the stairs and into his office. Lisanna looked around curiously. She hadn't been in here yet. When she had been younger, you couldn't come upstairs unless you were an S Class made. Through weird events, she had disappeared for a couple years. Now that she was back, she was getting used to the changes around Fairy Tail.

Makarov stood by the window and began to explain the job. In the woods to the east is strangely powerful yeti. We don't know much about him but we do know that he is using some dark magic. We suspect he found an artifact to allow him to grow unnaturally fast. Everyday he has it, he grows stronger. He is such a threat to Magnolia that this is being kept secret to avoid panic. Standing between him and that artifact are bodyguards. They are not going to be easy to defeat. Will you be willing to take this job?

Sara thought about the task that they were offered. She knew alone she wouldn't be able to do it but ,with the others she knew they would be able to. She hoped they thought so too. " I'm willing. " Sara said.

Lisanna quietly thought of how little ability she actually had. All because she had not been around for so long. By herself, she wouldn't be able to do this. However, they were a team now and with everyone helping everyone else, surely they could accomplish anything. They were Fairy Tail after all. She knodded, I don't mind either.

Jolene looked between the two of them. All three of them were basically new members. Sara and herself had joined only this week. Lisanna, though a member a long time, was only recently returned to Fairy Tail. They made quite a team. If they were willing to give it a go, surely everything would work out. I guess we are all agreed then.

Master Makarov looked solemnly at them. Then pack your bags and head out before the sun sets. You need to hurry and make as much time as you can. Every hour counts.

Sara nodded. She had all that she owned in her satchel, so packing would be easy. Though she hoped to get a few more clothes now that she was living here in Magnolia. She was up for the challenge of this mission.

Jolene thought about what they might need. She wouldn't need much personally, but perhaps they should set up a base camp they could retreat to if they were injured or worn out. A simply open-aired tent to provide shade, some pallets, basic food and medicine, and of course a change of clothes or two. It wouldn't be a lot but it would be comfortable in a relative sense.

Lisanna knodded when she heard Makarov's suggestion. That made sense. She figured that whatever she needed would easily fit into one backpack. She then thought of her older brother and how protective he was of her. He still blamed himself to some extent for her leaving Fairy Tail the first time. Now that she was back, he probably wouldn't approve of her going on some mission without him. That was probably another reason this was being kept a secret.

Sara checked what she had in her satchel. She had clean clothes and a medicine pack . She also had a few pictures in an envelope of her family and the bed roll she used when traveling. It wasn't much , but it would do.

Jolene looked at Sara and Lisanna, I need to run to my apartment to pack. I will be back soon. She waved good bye and headed out of the room. Going down the stairs, she looked at the job board. What he had asked of them wasn't on it. It really was being kept a secret. She headed outside and down guild street.

Lisanna waved to Jolene and she left. She turned and saw Sara checking her satchel. You have everything you need in there? she asked.

" For the most part I do. " Sara said with a smile. Sara knew she would have to wait to get some more clothes and finding a place to stay. But that could wait till after this job.

Lisanna smiled, Good. Hey want to come with me while I got pack? She lived here at the guild with her sister Mirajane. She admired those who liked having their own places, but there was something to be said for staying with the "family" too.

" Sure . That would be great. " Sara said with a smile. She was glad things were going well and was making friends.

Lisanna grinned and led the way to her room. When they got there, Lisanna started telling Sara about herself as she packed. My name is Lisanna as you are already aware. I have been in Fairy Tail for a long time. Well, sorta. Some events pulled me into another dimension for a few years. I am only now back and restarting to learn more about my magic abilities. My siblings are rather protective of me. All three of us practice soul take over. That is what we focus on. Something went wrong one time and my older brother blames himself for it. I love them though, even though they worry so easily about me. I think that is why this might possibly be secret from the guild too. She stuffed in the last few items and zipped close the bag.

Jolene easily packed a small back with a few toiletries and a change of clothing. Then she pushed that to the bottom of her back pack. Next she stuffed in a basic first aid kit and a tarp for their shelter. Then she rolled three thin pallets and tied them on top. She got two smaller waterproof bags and put food rations into them, then tied them to the sides. Hefting the bag on her back, she headed out the door back towards Fairy Tail.

" It is nice to meet you Lisanna." Sara said and listened to what Lisanna said as she packed. Sara didn't have any siblings , but always wondered what it was like to have one. She hoped to get stronger in magic during this mission. " It could also be something that would cause panic , if they knew about the yeti." Sara said quietly.

Lisanna agreed, That is true, but only for the citizens. You don't know Fairy Tail. All the mages here seem to thrive on challenges and competition. If Natsu or Gray or Erza knew what we were doing, they would run ahead to beat us to our own job. Yet despite that attitude, we are all extremely loyal to each other. If one of us was down, another would rise up in our place and take up our fight. Just to protect us.

She closed her backpack and smiled, I'm ready. So tell me about yourself. Where are you from? What magic abitlities do you have? She opened the door to the hall for Sara.

" I'm from a small farming community in the western part of Fiore. I know a little barrier magic . Mostly ground based ." Sara said as she headed down the stairs. She knew that there were other types of barrier magic, but she knew she had to master ground based first.

Lisanna knodded as they headed down the stairs. "Was your family family farmers then? Do you have any brothers or sisters? Does your family practice magic like you or did you want to do something different?"

Jolene reached Fairy Tail and walked inside. She saw Sara and Lisanna coming down the stairs and grinned at them. They were her team members now. She was excited for the adventures that they were going to have.

" They were farmers. My father was a mage and practiced barrier magic .He taught me what I know. I don't have any siblings . My mom died when I was 4 and my dad disappeared when I was 8. I had to sell the farm and move with my Aunt . I shortly joined a guild , though it was a few years before they accepted me. " Sara said.

Lisanna looked at her in surprise. Jolene who had walked up in time to hear that raised an eyebrow. Lisanna softly said, "Now I really do have a list of questions for you. I'll ask on the way." Jolene knodded, "Me too. We can each take our turn asking each other stuff." As they headed out the door and outside Lisanna asked, "What happened to your mother? Losing a loved one isn't any fun." Jolene shook her head, "That is a good question to ask her, but what is this about a guild not accepting you for several years? That is horrible. Either they let you join or they don't. You would have improved faster if they hadn't treated you that way."

" That's alright. My mother got sick from a virus that was going around the village. I think my dad disappeared because he was investigating why people were getting sick. That was part of the job he did as a Mage. He would be hired to investigate the strange happenings around the village. I don't know why they didn't accept me at first. I assumed it had to do with the type of magic I use. " Sara said. " Do you have any family Jolene? " She asked.

Jolene thought a moment before answering, "Yep. I have a mother and a brother. My mom has a really neat job as a researcher at a university. She really likes it there. My older brother left several years ago on some sort of quest. Have no idea where or for what. Miss him though." She grinned at them and added, "Maybe we will run into him on one of these jobs someday."

Lisanna asked Jolene, "You have family. How then do you have Dragon Slayer magic? Only those raised and trained by dragons have such ability."

Jolene knodded, "Now that it is brought up, I suppose I can say it. I was lonely. Really lonely. My mother was always at work and never home. Then my brother got into some guild somewhere. I don't know what type of guild. It was really secretive. He was never home after that. So I spent my free time out hiking. I met a creature, at the time I didn't realize what she was, that taught me some basics in magic. When my brother left, I left home and stayed with her. Mom never noticed since she stopped coming home. She stayed at work all the time by then. I learned dragon slayer magic. Her element was water, so of course everything I do is connected to water in one form or another." She looked down as they walked out of town and into the countryside.

Lisanna was quiet, then said, "My turn! Ask me some questions!"

" Tell us about your family Lisanna. And about the magic you know." Sara said with a smile, hoping that Jolene would see her brother again.
