“Huh…” Come to think of it, the garden wasn’t as brightly lit; she and her dad decided that it was harder to see the sky if they were. It was, probably not such a good idea to take her out to see it just yet then. “Oops; I guess I forgot in a way!” Rose laughed a bit, embarrassed by her mistake. Though she didn’t mind as much for once; she could show Caly it in the morning.

“We could go get something to eat then,” Rose suggested, “I haven’t eaten in a while; how about you?” It certainly had been a while, now that she thought about it. She wondered when Caly last ate herself.

Caly thought a moment and honestly didn't remember what time she last ate. In all honestly, now that Rose had mentioned it she was actually really hungry. She shook her head no to the question about having eaten and then began to smile. She was hit by a sudden thrilling idea. For the first time in a while she might together with a family, all together. Ever since her mother died her father had been unable to face a dinner at the table with her, she never knew if it was because of how she dressed or simply for no other reason then her father wasn't there.

"Nope, and I am kinda hungry...what would you like to eat?" she asked politely. She looked content and honestly was, this day really couldn't have turned out any better no matter how it had started. Perhaps she could spend the rest of the summer being able to hang out with Rose and they could develop a wonderful friendship. No more secrets too, she even knew about the potion she told no one else about.

"Hehe, well I'm not sure what we have left over," Rose mused, pondering on the thought, "But let's go take a look, it's only downstairs," she grinned, heading for the door. What did they still have? Her brothers were all here recently and well, despite their manners they were still boys; they ate a lot of food. A lot of food.

But then again, Mother did get a lot that night; Ooo maybe there was still some Italiain cuisine left? Rose did fancy herself some linguine! "Oh wait, how does that ankle feel?" Rose quickly asked, remembering that she hadn't tested it out yet. Wouldn't do much good to leave if Cayl couldn't after all.

Caly nodded at the suggestion as she moved to the edge of the bed. It took her a minute but she carefully stood. She bit her lip a minute and focused on her ankle. It was a little stiff and not the most pleasant feeling thing but she could walk on it now. It would be a little sore for a couple days she was sure but that was just the nature of things. She knew through experience the best thing for a twisted ankle was to walk on it as soon as you could.

"It feels okay...so what kind of food do you have? " She asked curiously as she too headed for the door. She was thinking a moment. She wondered if the food would be any different, she'd only really ate at home. Was muggle food any different than what she ate? She knew they didn't have chocolate frogs or anything like that but surely there was alot in common too? they needed the same nutrition didn't they?

Rose watched her as her tentatively checked out her ankle. From her point of view, Caly’s ankle looked alright; at least stable enough to walk around on. “Well, mostly leftovers,” Rose admitted as she walked down the hallway, “but we have Italian and Chinese…maybe some Indian as well but I’m not sure about that; my brothers like to eat spicy,” she mused. She herself wasn’t a fan of spicy; waaaay too hot for her taste buds!

It was when she reached the stairs did a thought occurred to her; did Caly know what she was talking about? Rose wasn’t sure if magical people had ever tried food traditionally made in countries outside of their own the muggle way. Sure, the wizarding community had some very interesting foods and candy of their own (Rose herself was especially partial to Sugar Quills) but beyond that she wasn’t exactly sure.

She nodded as she listened though honestly she wasn't all that sure. She'd had traditional english food and some wizarding dishes but that was all. Well her cousin had taken her to have pizza once, she remembered it was good. She liked the sauce especially which her cousin had told her was Italian. Maybe she'd take some Italian... though her cousin had sang the praises of chinese... Maybe she'd try a little of everything? She always did try to eat new foods. Her mother had always stressed you should try anything that won't kill you or kill someone else at least once....Considering some wizards who dabbled in the dark arts the last sometimes really did need to be mentioned. Her mind, however, was on the yummy sounding foods Rose had mentioned.

"Well.. I haven't tried alot of those.. though I may avoid the Indian as I'm not very good with spicy foods. C...could I try a little bit of both the Chinese and Italian?" Caly requested softly. As always, it seemed, she was shy and polite... always worrying she was asking to much when she asked something for herself. She never wanted to take anything from anyone else, so she was always careful to make sure she didn't...even when she needed too.

At least Caly was aware of the kinds of food she was talking about; Rose felt it saved her from being an idiot for assuming in the first place. It slightly bothered her that the blue-haired girl seemed rather reserved to ask, like she didn't really want to be a bother. Rose felt that it must simply be her nature; in a way, it was kind of cute.

"Of course you can!" she exclaimed, bringing her to the kitchen. "I'm pretty sure there's a lot of Italian pasta; I have to double check what we still have from the Chinses restaurant though..." Rose mused, opening up the fridge. Maybe they still had some mango chicken around! That was always tasty!

Caly decided pasta sounded good and nodded to the other girl. She peeked into the fridge curiously from behind Rose, her head tilted to the side like a little bird as she did so. She couldn't help but smile and relax a little, so this was what a sleep over was like? Eating left overs with a pal and wandering around the house? If so, she thought absently, she decided sleep overs were fun and she liked them very much.

"what kind of foods do you usually eat? What kinds are your favorite?" Caly asked quietly. She did wonder if she was being a little bold and it showed as she bit her lip in thought but at the same time she had relaxed enough to ask. Usually caly was not the type to ask questions or be demanding in any way. She tended to only ask a question if she was asked. Spontaneous conversation was just not her style... but Rose seemed to be bringing that out in her.

Rose was lucky there was some mango chicken still! She picked up the styrofoam container as well as the plastic container filled with the pasta, setting them on the nearby counter. “What kind do I like?” she repeated, pausing to think. It wasn’t something she thought about daily; Rose wasn’t a picky eater. She could eat anything so long as it tasted good. And did not come from a certain pair of redheads…

“Well…I guess I like pasta a lot,” she concluded, giving her a smile, “I can eat anything but pasta or noodles would be my first choice,” She opened the containers, motioning her to take a look as she went to get some plates. “What about you?” she asked; if Caly was going to come over (hopefully a lot) then she might as well have her favorite food on man, right?

((Hmm we can probably stop it here since their friendship and how they met and how she found out Caly's ... Caly has been established, unless you want to wait until Caly finds the potion that makes her outsides match her insides to make her fully a girl. Which would you prefer?))
