I'm glad its not just me. A lot of time I rattle off those bands and people give me a look like they don't know who I'm talking about.
And then I'm like (at least for fountains of wayne),
"Stacy's Mom" and they're like
"OH, THAT BAND. They did other music?"
Not going to lie, Stacy's Mom is my favourite song by them haha. It's a shame that not overly many people know of them though. :C Queen's Of The Stoneage I'm surprised at though, I thought they were pretty big

My gynacologist was the one who refused me the test for PCOS.
She told me that the tests were pointless and I should just go on birth control.
Even though BC makes my skin disease a little worse. So I wanted to make sure I had PCOS first, and she told me that "you're not a doctor, I am, either take the script or don't, I don't care, but I'm not going to waste my time testing you for it."
I haven't seen anything but dentists since because she terrified me. I spent the whole rest of my time in the office crying, and then I cried the whole way home ON THE BUS.
Wow, did you file some sort of complaint? I would. . . She shouldn't get away with treating you like that. You know your own body, you can tell what's normal and what isn't. If something is worrying you, you should be able to be checked for everything and anything you want, as a precaution. Do you have to pay for your medical care?

No, I have really really good insurance. >__< I'm going to see another doctor about it, but the last time I was there the lady spent the whole time telling me I wouldn't get approved for these tests because they had "no probable cause to suspect anything" I had to fight with the lady for 15 minutes to get my yearly STD/I test too! It also turns out she was full of shit, cos I called my brother right afterwards (I'm on his plan) and he said, "no, you just need to ask the doctor for the test and the insurance will cover it as long as you're not getting a billion of them done for no reason"
I have the WORST luck medically.
I'm hoping to see a new doctor soon, but I need to get over my anxiety about it first. T_T I have been afraid to go on a bus alone to the doctors since.
