They're doing roadworks on the bridge so in theory it wasn't entirely the buses fault, but then they decided to leave the main road and take us on a detour round the Black Isle and every shitty town in between. I was an hour and a half late for college

Trains are so expensive though and I still get on buses for child fares /cries

@GG: Yeah, they're starting works on Kessock Bridge next month but today they started mapping out the road or something so one lane was blocked off not to mention about three cars broke down and there was an accident because no gritters went out even though the road was icy as fuck. Cars were backed up right the way from Tore roundabout (I dunno if you went that far north but it's a couple miles back from the bridge) all the way up to the bridge itself and after the Munlochy junction you were basically at a standstill. Then after my bus went and detoured back to Tore and onto the old road he stopped for fifteen minutes on the phone, a new bus came and took us round the back of beyond and then finally into Inverness. The end result was I was on a bus for near 3 hours and I was an hour and a half late to a two hour class

Trains are half price for students though. Not sure where you live, but it's about 60 bucks a month for me. I go on the train for about 30mins a day during the weekdays, and sometimes on weekends too... Depending.

Where I live they don't accept any of the railcard discounts or student discounts at what they consider "peak" times and that would be the trains I'd need to get to and from college and I can't afford £40 a week in transport costs without the discounts when at the moment I only need to pay £10.
