They just complain about anything if it doesn't make their kid the star.
We had a talent show on Friday and me and the other teacher in charge of it ended up having to cut everyone's act down to 2 minutes because there were too many kids in the show (it would have been 3 hours if we hadn't cut the acts) and parents email me, freaking out, because they want their kid to have a full five minutes.
Then I'm co-teaching a musical elective to the middle schoolers at my school (I teach Prek through 8th grade) and I'm teaching it with the two 6th grade teachers....and we put up the cast list for the musical the other day and I just got an email from a parent of an 8th grade girl saying I was punishing her by not giving her the lead because she was in 8th grade and the girls we gave the lead to were in 7th. Saying it's always been 8th grade first.
What parents don't understand is that traditions change when you get a new music teacher and I don't believe in rewarding a kid for bad behavior when they've done nothing by goof off in my classroom and not care about what we are doing.
Also they blame ME when the decision was made by THREE teachers. >.<
