What's wrong llonka?

Rose: Awww, that sucks that it got lost. I know that the other one got mine as it says on my site that I have through the school that they said that they did get it and all of that. So it's all a waiting game now.

DJ: I've found that I love being away from home and if I was living at home it'd drive me up a wall because my parents love to try to control me. I'm home now for like 8 months and I'm like 3 1/2 months into that and I'm already going insane! >.< But I am home alone some days because of them working and other things that they do. So we'll see how this goes. I really want the second one, because of the culture that it can provide for me. =] Despite all the Deaf students on campus, I'm even trying to get into the part of the dorms on campus - well the floor for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing students who sign. =] So I'll be around it 24/7. =] So much better than what I have now. :P

Yeah it did suck, but I'm glad I went to the school that was closer to home because I made some good friends and had some interesting times, lol. The part I hated was the asshat that was my main professor for my major.

That's good at least. Aww, yeah, bad professors do make it harder for learning, that's for sure!!

At least you liked that you ended up going close to home.

well you know how people go around neighborhoods looking to sell their product? we had a window company come by again, they've been to our house before. we really need new windows, ours are the original ones from 1907 and are really drafty. so anyways my dad found out we are thinking about getting some and get all upset and came to our house while the window guy was here and tried to scare him off. after my dad left we went ahead and signed to see if we would qualify to get new windows, but my dad is still lecturing me about how we can't afford it and i'll have to drop out of college and we'll lose our food assistance and all that bull crap. the thing is though we can't open the windows, what if we have fire? are we just supposed to die? i'm pretty upset about it. hubby and i figure if the payments are what the guy says it will be, we will be fine. i just don't want to go through with it and then have to listen to my dad say how stupid we are and everything again he told me today. *sobs*

Yup, and it really can. My one friend told me after she graduated that me not returning was probably a good thing since that professor didn't teach us everything we needed to know to actually enter into our major's career field. So I guess I was lucky there.

It wasn't too bad. My parents and grandparents weren't happy that I didn't come home every weekend and that I preferred to stay on campus, lmao.

That's awesome Nemo I have always wanted to learn Sign Language but never really found time to. Yeah I go crazy at home because I basically do all the cleaning along with my mother and I hate it. I wouldn't mind if I lived by myself because it would be my mess I am cleaning up and not everyone else's

llonka: Awww! :( I hope that you can figure everything out! And I totally agree with DJ there - if you feel that you guys can manage it, then I say that you guys should do it!

Rose:I just know that if I go to the school closer to home, that my mum will want me home all the time. Because she goes to that school and could take me home with her for the weekend or whatnot. xD

DJ: It's a great language to learn, that's for sure!! My dad gets on my case because he asks me to do something and if I don't do it in the time frame that he asked me to he goes "All I'm doing is asking you to help." Geebus... I am going to do what he wanted... I just am not as fast as he'd like! -.-

If it's something that you need and if the payments are where you can afford them then where is the problem? Isn't it better to get windows that you can actually open and close and that aren't drafty? If they aren't drafty then you will be saving money on your energy bills.

My father is very impatient and he will repeat things literally about 10 times as you are trying to do it. And he explains things really weirdly so as you are trying to figure it out and do it at the same time he just gets mad :P its really entertaining at times too but lost of the time it just pisses you off

Dad isn't that bad, but he should know that it's really hard for me to forget things as I have this strange memory. Tell me something once and I will remember it.

When I first started college my mom called my every evening and got mad when I wasn't in my room to answer the phone because at the time I didn't have a cell phone.

You all think my dad is just being controlling? Yes it is our house, and he acted like this when we were signing papers to get a loan on the house. I just really worry about being in a fire, what would we do? just die? try to break the windows and get all cut up? I think they just don't know how much we really pay. another thing that made me upset was that he drug hubby's dad into it and started talking about how the carpet needs to come out. like they are tag teaming us. i mean good grief, i'm 25 and hubby is 26, aren't we old enough to make decisions for ourselves?

Rose: Haha, yeah - either that or demand that I hang out with her when she's there on campus.

llonka: I do think that he is being controlling and that you guys should be able to make your own decisions.

Thanks nemo. I just don't understand what the big deal is. For some reason they just think the window guy is after our money.

llonka you are married for cripes sake! I say that if you are married and have your own place you should be able to do what you want to it. And your dad is being controlling.

Yeah I got my first cell phone about a month before I started college and the only reason why my father is getting me a laptop soon is because I hate the tablet, and I was on it all day today trying to finish my paper and since I didn't I will be on it tomorrow also and he likes to be on it when he comes home, and the boys keep complaining when I have papers to write I don't let them have the tab, and it is only going to get worse too.

llonka: Maybe look into other window shops in town and figure out prices and see if it's a good deal or whatnot? And then use that to convince them that it's what you guys want to do? Would that help get them off your back about it? I've found it never hurts to look into other options. :)

DJ: It really does help to have a laptop. I have my MacBook that my parents bought for me this past summer, I'm in love with it! xD

Not to mention i cat do math homework on the tablet -.-

@ llonka - That is being a little too controlling, good grief. You and your hubby are old enough to make your own decisions of what you think is the best thing to do and on whether or not you can afford something. Besides if they are worried about such things as carpet that needs replaced and such, why don't they help you all out instead of bitching about it? I mean really, instead of just fussing at you all about it they should do something to help like offer help removing said carpet and installing new carpet or just give you guys money to have something done with said carpet.

Personally I think the windows being replaced for the reason you want them to be is more than important that some old carpet that needs being replaced. So I think you guys are doing the right thing there.

<_< I really should wait until my Kohl's bill comes before I donate. I intended to buy extra CIs to sell so I could afford the ones from last month.

I already have a deal worked out, just waiting. I have to wait for my debit card to come anyway.

Ok so for the Project Mene challenge it's a partner double elimination challenge.

I hate the debt card my college gave me if I don't deposit $100 every month $3.50 comes out. Then if I swipe my card and there is no choice for credit I get 50 cents taken out. I am about to take what little money is on the card now withdrawal it, and shut down the account and go to Chase bank. I will have 4 years of being charged nothing simply because I am a student.
