As you grow up, you go through rehab, and then are sent to school.But something seems strange about this 'rehab.' It seems more like training to you. You also notice 7 other people in this 'rehab,' but you're not allowed to talk to them. Then you wonder about the strange tattoo on your body. It's one of...a chess pawn? However, information about this is always completely and utterly denied to you. Then, one day, when you're fifteen or sixteen, the man in the lab coat comes to you. He holds out his hand.

" Welcome to Checkmate."

In the summer of 1998, a government organized society called Checkmate took 8 homeless children off of the streets for testing. These 8 children are injected with a serum that changes their genetic makeup. 8 children, all of varying ages, are raised as pawns to protect the queen of the organization, someone with a power so dangerous, she could destroy the world with it. These children were raised by scientists undercover as parents in separate apartments. And slowly, the children grew.
