Jake closed his eyes as he clenched his fist. "I swear to the mighty gods, if she dies, I will kill all evil in this land and then I will plan on finding a way to kill all in my path." He mumbled as he then carefully placed her arms under the mage's body, slowly and carefully, he lifted her up and almost fell himself. "This will be tough." He whispered as he began to exit the lair. "Listen to me dragon. Save your energy because I am going to need you look after her when we part ways..." He said to her pet with a small sigh.

When the small dragon heard Jake she whined at him a bit. "I can't take care of her... I don't even have a humane form how could I take care of her?" she asked softly and it wasn't really unusual to hear a dragon speak... especially when it looked so rare like this little one did.

Jake sighed a little as he continued to walk slowly. "But you must, I have a quest to complete, I must get home and face what ever fate has chosen for me." He replied as he looked around, he saw a nearby village and chuckled a little. "See, there is a village just over there"

"But no village will accept us... we've been everywhere that's why we live in that house in the forest... Mage's aren't really welcomed anywhere anymore... and dragons certainly aren't... couldn't you just help us for a little bit? Please?" the little dragon asked Jake hoping that he would help since she didn't want her master to die but she knew she couldn't really help her all that well.

Jake listened to the dragon and sighed as he looked to the dragon and then back to the village. "Well... I guess I could stay until she gets better... Though it may not be a wise choice... But I will try." He replied as he set her under a large tree while looking around. "But we have no supplies... No shelter... How will we do this?" He asked looking to the little dragon on his shoulder.

"We do have supplies silly! In the packs that she fixed... also we can go back to the house... I know how to open the door." the small dragon said before jumping down and onto Mage nosing her face a bit but she didn't wake though did move a little.... not very much though.

Jake sighed again as he nodded remembering the bag on his back, he took it off and took out the water flask, he took out a rag and pour some water onto it. "Here. Take this and rub it over her head. This water should be cool enough... Unless I am thinking of the wrong sort of illness... I have never done anything involving medical attention before."

"I think you're thinking of a fever... and she doesn't really have one..." the small dragon said though noticed that Mage was having trouble breathing and wasn't sure what to do. "What should we do? She can't breathe it doesn't seem like?" she started to panic a bit though didn't know what to do in the least.

Jake heard the dragon and blushed a bit, he quickly put the water away with the rag. "Oh... I knew that." But when he heard that she was finding it hard to breath, Jake began to panic a little as he trying to find something in the bag, he then looked at the dragon with a bright blush. "Maybe I... Maybe I should help her breath?"

The little dragon looked at Jake curiously as he blushed and wasn't sure why he was blushing as she got off of Mage wondering what Jake was going to do to help her breathe.... that did sound a little odd anyway to her.

Jake blushed more as he shook his head and gulped a bit. "Boy this best work." He said as he moved his face closer, as he got close enough, he gently put his lips to hers and gave a little air into her lungs to help her breath in, he then took his face away and then let her breath put before repeating.

Mage moved a little when she felt Jake's lips on hers though didn't fully respond at first. Then after a moment she started to cough a little and moved to turn on her side though didn't have the strength to. When she felt Jake's lips on hers again though her face turned bright red and her eyes shot open at the feel.

Jake was still blushing as his purple cheek scales had turned red, he was unsure if he should stop after the cough or continue. He was unsure what she would say if she was to be awake, but when her eyes shot open, Jake blushed deeply and his eyes shot open too, he stumbled back from her and gasped. "E-Ermm... I-I... I was h-helping you breath."

Mage's face was still Red as she moved to sit up and coughed a bit before being able to breathe rather normal again though then fell over a bit unable to hold herself up... she really was weak right now. "Damn" she muttered to herself as she tried to move but was too weak to and just ended up falling back over anyway. She hadn't said anything to Jake yet and it didn't seem like she was mad.... just embarrassed and it seemed like she was having a bit of trouble trying to sit or move... and she also still looked very tired and weak.

Jake sat back watching her with a blush, he stood up and gulped a bit as he looked at her dragon. "J-Just... Make s-sure she don't m-move to much..." He said as he walked away a little, he was still in sight, but out of ear shot. "Why did you do that you fool? You are a mighty warrior, not some softy little lover boy, she can help herself out... Dam you fool" He growled at himself as he began to pace back and forth. "Am I loosing my touch? Am I becoming soft?"

The little dragons soon helped Mage sit up a bit though didn't really know what to do to help her for she seemed really tired and it was hard for her to sit up. Sukiru then moved over to Jake and looked at him worriedly. "I think we should go back to our house.... she can't hardly even sit up..." she said softly to Jake as she floated up a bit to sit on his shoulder hoping he didn't mind.

Jake continued to pace back and forth before hearing the dragon, he shook his head and looked at her. "I can't... I don't even know if I can look at her anymore... I have made such a fool of myself." He replied not bothered about the dragon landing on his shoulder. "I mean... Why did she have to open her eyes at that point? Why not after like a day or so when I wasn't trying to help her by putting my lips on hers?"

"She woke up... Jake you saved her... despite how she seems she's really embarrassed... I can tell.... but right now she's not strong enough to even really sit up on her own... if it weren't for you she might be dead now because she couldn't breathe and she was unconscious..." Sukiru said softly to Jake looking over at Mage who was trying to stay sitting up but you could tell she was having a hard time.

Jake sighed a bit and nodded. "You are right little dragon... Okay then, I will get her to the house. once she is inside, I will stay outside to guard the area." He said while walking back to mage, he stood in front of her and gulped a bit as he looked down at her. "U-Urrrrm... I will... Carry you b-back to your house now..." He said blushing again, he then turned around and growled. "Get ahold of yourself." He whispered.

"Um... Jake? I think she passed out...." Sukiru informed Jake worriedly as she looked at Mage seeing that she had passed out again though was able to actually breathe this time and was just unconscious.

Jake sighed a bit as he bent down and picked her up. "That is good then, saves the embarrassment." He mumbled as he began to walk back, he then looked at her little dragon with a chuckle. "You know, You will have to try and tell her it was only a nightmare. That was she wont ever know I SORT of kissed her..."

"But.... I think she knows it was because she wasn't breathing...." Sukiru said though still didn't really understand why it was such a big deal that he gave Mage mouth to mouth.... she was still young and really didn't understand most human things though.

Jake gave a glare to the small dragon but then shook his head, he soon reached the door as he looked down at Mage with concerned eyes. "I hope she pulls through this... I fear what will happen to me... If she didn't" He whispered opening the door with his foot. He then took her into her bedroom and he gently placed her down. "Okay then... Remember what I said about what happens now?" He asked Mage's dragon.

"We're already safe though... believe it or not dragons, tones of them, protect our house... along with magic as well... the only reason you're able to get in is because you're with her... if you weren't then you probably wouldn't be able to come in, or near here for that matter." Sukiru said seeming to almost smile a little as she moved to sit on Mage's bed and nudge her a bit though she just moved a little though didn't wake up.

Jake heard that the house was protected by dragons and he growled a little. "Do you know how many dragons probably want my head and you bring me here? Just being here could mean my life is at risk." He said making sure his blade was ready in case, but he soon remembered he had left it in the thief. "If I get attack, don't expect me to trust you again, you hear me dragon?"
