(Um... no not completely... you should already know the thoughts... she likes him but can't really find a way to tell him... and her ears turned red because she was embarrassed thinking about it... I didn't think I would need to explain it and I wasn't sure how to put it in my post )

Jake chuckled and nodded at her comment with a small sigh. "At least I never did catch you... Otherwise..." He shut his eyes for a moment to get the thought out of his head. "... Well, that is enough of that." He opened his eyes and smiled a bit. "I think we should get on with some jobs or something... No point in wasting the day just chit chatting now is there?" He asked with a small chuckle.

"Otherwise? What? What were you going to say?" Mage asking softly looking at him and hoped he would tell her... if he liked her then she would be able to tell him that she liked him... maybe... but what if he didn't like her? Would she just make a fool of herself if she asked?

Jake looked down at the floor and sighed with a small growl. "Had you not got away everytime... If I had caught you... I would have killed you on the spot, then you wouldn't have been there to help me see how much of a monster I had become... I would have been stuck hunting down magical creature and destorying them." He then looked up and sighed again. "And... I would have never been able to get to know you more..."

Mage smiled a little at Jake though paused for a moment her cheeks becoming a little pink. "Jake... what do you think of me?" she asked softly and almost meekly refusing to look at Jake at all... she was too embarrassed.

Jake smiled back to mage, but he question soon caused his cheeks to go from purple scales to a pinky red. "W-Well... I did used to think you was very irritating... But now... The feels I have towards you... Well... I have never felt them for sure so... I am unsure what they could mean... But I think it might be l..l.." He gulped a bit and turned around blushing more brighter. "I think it might be love..."

Mage's face was so red now though when she heard the last word she looked up a bit surprised then slowly and shakily stood and walked over to him and touched his arm softly. "Y-you what?" she asked in a quiet and meek voice her face still quite red and she could see a bright blush on his face as well.

Jake felt her arm being placed on his shoulder and he gulped a bit, when she asked for him to repeat it, he stepped back with a blush still on his face. "Oh nothing... I.. Nothing..." He turned to face with as he could feel his cheek beginning to burn as he tried to stop himself from getting any more embarrassed

"O-oh okay... I just thought... n-never mind... i-it's nothing.." Mage said shakily as she moved and went outside quickly moving quickly to where her and Jake had met a while back when he finally egnoleged her for the first time. She felt sick and sad now... she felt like she made a fool of herself... he didn't like her... or at least he didn't like her enough to tell her or in the same way she liked him. It made her feel a bit sick and like crying... the first person she had opened her heart to in so long... didn't like or love her? It hurt... bad...

Jake heard her leaving and he sighed a little as he clenched his fists a little. "Dam it Jake... Why?" He sighed a bit as he knew he had made a fool of himself, had he really not said it loud enough for her to hear? Had he not put enough emotion into it? He didn't know, nor did he ever have such feelings before, he just had no idea of how to show them. "I wish that little dragon was here to help me... Where is she?"

"One.... it's Sukiru, two, you should already know where she went... though just in case you forgot, she's down by the river where you truly first met her." Sukiru said softly as she flew out from a little ice chest on the floor... there was no food in it though, just ice.

Jake heard the voice and look to where it had came from, he then tilted his head a little. "Okay..." He shook his head a bit as he slumped down onto the floor with a sigh as he rested back against the wall. "I was asking where you was... Since you had been here all the time. What did I do wrong? Did you hear what I said? I might have not said it loud enough for her to hear what I said." He sighed again as he place his head against the wall. "I told you I should have left... My feelings have grown far to strong towards her now."

"I honestly have no idea... I've never seen her act like this... we've always lived in solitude unless someone came to her for treatment and healing..." Sukiru said softly then sighed a bit as she sat on the arm of a nearby chair then curled up a bit as she looked at Jake with thinking eyes.

Jake sighed again as he looked down at his hand to see the scales that ran across it. "Ever since I became this monster... I have had so many weaknesses... But yet not extra strengths, it sort of makes me want to find that dragon and slay him for doing this too me. But then again, I am no longer a killer of good." He shook his head a little and clenched his fist. "Yet, I feel a deep anger burning at the weaknesses I have gained... I might need your help..."

"You have gotten stronger though... though it's hard for you to tell because you don't know how to use your powers... though I think Mage needs you right now... she seemed really upset and I don't know why..." Sukiru said softly as she sat on Jake's shoulder and rubbed her head against his cheek softly as she often did. She thought of him as a good friend and hoped that he thought the same of her.

Jake sighed a little as he looked too the small dragon and sighed again as he shook his head. "You may say I am stronger, but I feel weaker, I don't even know how to dodge properly with this body, let alone defend myself." He then turned his attention to his hands. "You should go after her, I have a feeling I will just make things worse... She probably ran off because she has no feelings for me and is freaked out by the monster I am... She probably would have felt the same way as I do if I was to have been human."

"No no! I don't think she actually heard what you said. And she doesn't think of you as a monster... why do you think she invited you to stay here? I think she wants to show you that you aren't a monster.... but I don't know how to calm her... I've never seen her run off like that looking so upset... I think it would be better if you went to talk to her." Sukiru said softly as she looked up at him though was kinda unsure really.

Jake listened to what the dragon had to say before he sighed a bit and began to pace back and forth. "That is the worst thing for a guy to do, we don't really talk about things to others so we are never good with cheering others up. I mean, what if I make it worse?" He sighed again before shaking his head a little. "I don't even know what she has gotten upset about, was it something I said, something I did? I swear all I did was say I loved her, then she ran off." He stopped pacing and looked back to Sukiru. "I swear she only likes me as a friend."

"I... don't know but if you said that and she heard you then why would she run off? I don't think she heard you since she just rand off like that..." Sukiru said though just really wasn't sure... she didn't really understand any of this so she just wasn't sure at this point.

Jake sighed a little as he nodded a little as he then looked to the door and thought of something. "Well... We are on a small hill here, so it is most likely that she could hear a yell for at least a mile radius." With that he began to walk towards the door. "Follow me, I have a idea of how to tell her without going all shy about it." he stepped outside and sighed once more at the fact he was doing this. He then took a deep breath and yelled as loud as he could. "Mage! I love you and want you to stop running away or I may just change my mind!"

(T~T why can't he just go after her? She's not close to the house, she can't hear him XP )

(But why can't she return? ;-; )

(cuz I can't think of a reason why she would want to come back until she was calmed down a bit... in her mind at least but also... idk it just seems to work better for the character type she is if someone went after her XP )

((But Jake is supposed to be a evil paladin D: I know, why not have them both go after each other? :3))
