I think kidney beans would work fine in that.
Ah that reminds me. There's a quinoa porridge there I wanted to try. P:

What exactly is quinoa?
I was trying to find out, I gather it is a type of grain. - so not a cereal or a grain, but a pseudocereal, related to beets. O_o
Sounds like a very good plant, lots of uses & ancient.
What is it closest to taste wise? Wiki says it is close in taste to white rice or couscous.
Any idea where I might find it at? I have never seen it before that I recall.

:XD I like your green text.
Yeah it's basically used as rice or couscous would be used.
I can find it at the grocery store. I think it's usually in the aisle where the more international foods are. P:

I tried quinoa once and it tasted a bit like bird seed. But I'd be willing to try it again.
Last night I went browsing a bunch of delicious looking recipes on MarthaStewart.com. Too many to link to here, but I pinned my favorites on my Pinterest (link temporarily removed - PM me if you want it!). Can't wait to try them!

 No, it tasted, to me, just like birdseed smells. I love whole grain/whole wheat (The kind I get is both) bread, though. Sugar free strawberry jelly with peanut butter on it is delicious. I've also found that a very thin layer on mayonaisse on the bread (er, sans PB&J) brings out the flavor of the bread and makes it more moist without really lending a mayo-y taste.
Ah, yes, that one's not from Martha Stewart. I haven't tried that yet. To be honest, I haven't tried nutella either!

Yeah, I'm digging the whole grain/wheat breads. I've been putting Nutella or cinnamon apple preserves on it as breakfast/ a snack.
Oh wow really? So you just eat it with mayo then? Never thought to that...
The bread I have is pretty soft. Has a slightly sweet tang to it.
Uh oh really? :XD From people I've met, they either really like it or really dislike it.

I will have to look for it next time I go to the grocery store. Maybe it will be with the Mexican food, our local grocery store doesn't have much variety of items. We have 1 aisle of pasta, then 1/4 aisle of Mexican & 1/4 Asian food. We can't even get stuff like Panko here, we have to go to a bigger town for that. No couscous here either. :(
I like the smell of Nutella, but I never eat it. My husband buys it. I think he mixed it & marshmellow fluff together once & tried it on a sandwich. Looked good, but would probably cause a diabetic coma.

Oh man, really? D: That sucks. I hope you're able to find some!
Blaaargh! That's too much sweetness for me. xD I'm not a huge fan of marshmallow fluff anyway though.

I guess what I am looking for here is some recipes that use lots of eggs, are gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free. I have a lot of allergies and a lot of chickens.
Any recipes that are made just for me? o3o

Iku - Sometimes I'll use the mayo trick for the heel of the bread, since those suck for sandwiches. I don't eat it like that for a meal or anything, though. And sometimes I'll use for sandwiches where I don't really want the mayo flavor, I just want to enhance the bread. It's good with fried egg sandwiches!

@Sere: Ahah. You and your chickens. You could try that website I posted (Closet Cooking) and search for "egg" in the "Search Closet Cooking" spot. That will bring up recipes that use eggs. I don't know about lots of eggs though! :XD
@Cherry: True true. Ooh never thought of it for that! We just toast and butter the bread for egg sandwiches. Homg, I wants.

That is a bunch of allergies. Need to think about that for a while.
Like Ikuto posted that site probably would have something.

Or you could make stuff and freeze it. P: Not sure what would be good freezable though.

Oh! I see what you mean. We would have one loaf out then two to three in the freezer. We ate a lot of bread. o-o;
What we use to do is my mom would make fresh bread every morning. Make it the night before. Stick it in the bread-maker and in the morning baked fresh bread. *Drools* <3

I have a lot of food allergies too. I got stuck with a weird one like blue dye. :(
My mom makes great homemade bread, but we refuse to let her use the bread maker anymore. No one in the family liked it when she made it in that. Her bread is so yummy, but I think the bread maker made it have too much crust & over cooked it.
