I love Menewsha and would stay on her till its no more
And I hope that will not happen
But I feel like the whole site needs a clean up.... a little more shine
People like shiny things right?
I'm not trying to be funny....
But dont see the big picture
Maybe because I was a little to over whelmed by the amount of text.... Dont know
I love it how it is, and will love it with changes

Jelly always said that you could earn as much gold as you wanted with posting. There's a maximum you can earn per post, but you can earn for each post you make. :/ How many posts do you need to make for the cap to kick in?

Oooh I see what you're saying now! I thought you meant a cap for each post, not a post number cap. Sorry about that! My misunderstanding! xP

Yeah there is a gold cap per post but you always earn from posts thankfully I know some sites that after so many posts stop awarding gold..makes you loose interest in posting.

That used to annoy the shit out of me on Gaia. I'd be down to getting 1 or 2 gold per post, but not have covered everywhere yet. I'd used to switch to my mule to finish my posting!

i loved playing booty grab.
the fishies are just so cute.
the social interaction is in the threads.
it's just like playing attack of the fan girls here,
not really any social interaction there, either.

What I am saying is like my laptop wont load it half the time and it glitches up for some reason. And I agree no interaction but to say its interactive in the threads makes me go umm no... because All the years I was on gaia I mainly say flaming and trolling and the simplest non rude post got spammed with bumps and hate posts for no reason... so it annoyed me because all i got was abuse not even a small gold reward for the post... made me irritated.

i see with the lagging on a laptop.
but i never had any trolling or flaming where i was.
mostly because i just hung out in the aquarium forum
and some guilds.
i had a lot of social interaction in them.

Hummy apparently never went to the GD..
Just FYI you guys are getting a bit off topic XD :offtopic:
Oh how I love the offtopicness of this site
As for the fresh meat thing. I was thinking alone in my apartment with no internet (all there is to do) about this, and thought it would be really helpful to have more stickies like this in the feedback forum as well. Especially for things so generic like "positive" or "negative" feedback. Give them a sticky so they don't clutter the other feedback and staff can just browse a few threads. This also helps keep good feedback from getting pushed too far down, cause you probably notice how a thread seems "dead" at about the half way mark right? (This also seems somewhat true in the fresh meat forum from what I've seen)
TL : DR - Maybe this would help the whole site be more organized to add more broad stickies. to keep threads from dropping off the first page too fast.

Staff read through all feedback threads though, and that forum doesn't actually move all too fast. There's been about three posts in three days there.

@ Cass - true. Just makes things a lot more organized that's all =)
That and that if a few select threads are more broad they might be able to give the illusion of a "faster" forum. Since I do know that some people have left saying menewsha is too slow.

I have no idea what "Booty Grab" is and I'm not too sure I want to know. O.o;
As for the idea of more stickies, I say no just because people tend to either not notice them, ignore them, or be intimidated by them and not post in them. Big threads scare people away sometimes. I know I won't post if there's too many posts since I like to read what others say most the time so I'm not repeating the same point for the hundredth time in a thread.

So...that is so not what I was thinking it was. :XD
I hate to see a bunch of dead threads sitting there too though but I'm horrible at coming up with suggestions on how to fix things like that.

Maybe a hybrid idea? =3
Allow them to either make a thread or join in an active conversation in a newbie welcome stick?

Hmmm, I like the idea of a "mingle area," or maybe a few mingle areas for both old and new to... yeah, you get the picture. :P Maybe a thread for general welcoming chatter, icebreaking if you will, that gets locked and renewed (meaning a new thread is started with the same theme) every certain number of posts/pages (say 10 pages or so) so that new members don't get intimidated? That's my two cents.

Carzeebear made a mingle type thread already in Fresh Meat. Not too many people posted in it though that were new. The thing with locked threads is that it might look bad to new users if there's a bunch of locked ones unless it's sent to recycling after but then I think users who posted in it would lose gold?
