Inso has always been extremely adamant that Mennies would not be a tradable item. Because if someone's account was accessed by someone who didn't have permission to do so, the Mennies could be stolen, and those have been paid for with real cash.

Then why not just take the trade system right out of the equation? Simply put a gold option in the CI shop. Don't even have to make an item for that one.

buying straight gold could mess up the economy D:

but, I don't see a problem with a cash shop as long as there aren't a bajillion expensive items in there, and a few of them stay in there all the time

Although multipose are grand and good thing to have, but somehow seeing the range of items available, these interesting items should be rarer than monthly. Single pose could be classic if the design/item is demanded by majority users.

I would love a pixel contest, if only high quality work was chosen as a final thing. And I think a lot of users woudl appreciate the chance to see unique items from fellow users. I know I would.

Just out of curiosity. Even though I know we won't have any items for Valentine's Day, instead of canceling the event altogether, would it be possible to at least do the hang out thread(s) or some game thread(s) (like Cherry's stories or something like that)? Even though they would have no prizes, they would still be fun, and we could still celebrate Valentine's Day on Menewsha.

Also, and I hope I don't cause panic by asking this, that's not my intention, but this is been weighing on my mind since last night. Menewsha isn't in danger of being shut down is it? I would never want to see that happen, I was just getting over the fear of this from the piracy bill, that's now been taken off the voting, but now I'm worried again.

I agree to what Hikari said... some of us came back for event time, items would be one reason, but I think the hangout meeting people are also an attraction.

A few person I chat to before only came back for event because there are activities and more people during that time to chat around.

Why not have the CIs/EI's be single pose only? IMHO, the single pose CI/EI's of '07 tended to be the best anyways~

I'm on the other side of this issue...

I LOVE the multi-pose items! Please don't stop doing them!
It makes me feel like I'm getting more for my money when I donate for a CI that gives me multiple options.

Also, it's what other sites do too, so you need to stay competitive.
(With the exception of Gaia which makes you purchase multiple CI's to use different poses at the same time. It's one of the reasons I quit Gaia)

Perhaps having fewer poses would work then.

*thinks really hard about how to help* ah I know. For Valentine's day, you can have a user event. Maybe some really talented menewshian (menewshan? Menews?) can make a few things for ones avi ( if thats not hard to code- I don't know much about stuff like this >.<) or at least a user run Valentine's cards. Say 3 menews with a good photoshop can make some valentine's cards for 2 mennies (buy in the place you buy the monthly items) A user event would help get people on the site and chatting with little or no work for the site owners :D Another option would be broadcasting. Having someone (site person or a menew) make a youtube video,and post on tumblr,link on facebook or tweet. Do such things in a well populated tumblr and you can get tons of people to come here. I could post the referral image in my siggies on other sites but I have to check to see if it's ok. I know I can on youtube,facebook and tumblr without any problems.

Hopefully, there will be some success. Although, I think it's inevitable and stopped donating for awhile. >,< I tried dragging people here and they joined, browsed, then grew bored, and never returned. My friends wouldn't be interested. I'm hardly here myself.

Honestly I think it's facebook that is kinda killing off these avi sites. I mean, think how much time I spend on sim social @[email protected] What most people don't like about avi sites is the basic , posting. You post in a thread,and wait for someone to reply since you can't double post,reply to that post,wait,etc . Even gaia is suffering to an extent. They have zomg,but it's not really updated in years. Sure they update for a biannual event but nothing year long. They offered 2 new places, one kills me as soon as i come in (due to the bad guys being cl 13 and I'm only a 10,also no ways for me to up my cl and now only cash people can get in) and the second place has nothing to do. Gaia has events,but it looked hurried. Maybe we fellow menewshians (what are we called? D; ) can help the site out by tweeting/tumblring and creating things for the site. I'm sure someone can make a comic of Lance's fan girls or Mangus having a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. :D

Well, I tried a bit of pixling, don't think it came out well... I tried it on GraphicsGale, not sure if I even got the transparency in the background.

I don't know, the thing I like so far about GraphicsGale, is that in addition to the window I'm working in, it has two other views. A grid that shows each pixel up close, so I don't actually need to zoom in as far with my main window, and a actual size view that shows me what it will look like.

Still can't figure out how to get the transparency behind though, it starts out that way, but can't figure out how to keep it. I just downloaded this a few hours ago though. I'm still figuring it out.
