"You mean I have to do all of this?" Rinoa asked when she arrived.

"Well, think of it as part of your training, you can do it." Quistis cheered her on. Rinoa looked like she did before an exam, unprepared. She then went to her room and changed to clothing that was more suited for travel, something with a miniskirt. She thought about how she would be travelling with Xu and blushed lightly. In her new outfit she quickly hurried to the gate as fast as she could, hoping she wasn't keeping Xu long.

"Are you ready?" she asked her, "Oh, what's the name of this school called again?"

"Girl's Training School of Galbadia." Xu said with a sigh. It was long named and Quistis looked breathtaking in her mini.

Xu thought about the long legs sitting next to her all the way to the train station. As they boarded the train, she wondered if Rinoa had waited til they had left before she told Cid. She must've anyway. She thought as she stored her suitcase. We wouldn't've made it this far if she had. Or maybe Cid realizes that we need to get out some?

Stretching up towards the ceiling of the traincar, Xu let out a deep yawn. Turning to her partner she said, "I'm going to rest a bit before we get there. Which bunk do you want?"

Quistis thought about it and smiled, "Could we share one?" She blushed deeply, looking at her sheepishly.

Xu suddenly stuttered. She had been taken so off guard by Quistis's suggestion that she didn't know what to say. She couldn't believe it. Quistis wanted to sleep next to her? It took her several minutes to answer. "I-I-I wou-would like that." She then blushed. I would I say that? Of all things! "I mean it's just that last week one of the girls returned and said that she was accousted by a group of men that wouldn't leave her alone because she was alone. Maybe if they thought that we were together they wont try the same thing with us?" She was glad of the save. But she had wanted to use it as a last resort. "That is what you meant right?"

Quistis thought for a moment, it was cute how she was trying to hide it. "While that's a good idea, that's not what I had in mind, I kind of want to get closer to you is all," she was saying. "You might say I've developed a crush on you, but I couldn't say it within the garden walls," she said sitting on the bed. "Unless..you don't think I'm good enough?"

Xu devolped a blush. It felt to her as if it would be there for quite a while. Quistis likes me! She's had a crush on me? I can't believe it! Xu sat down on the bed next to Quistis. She lifted her hand and slowly and tenatively placed it on Quistis's knee. Her face redend deeper as she said, "I've had feelings for you for a long time too. I never said them though because, I always thought that you liked someone else.." She was refering to Quistis's temporary feelings for Squall. Though Quistis had confessed that she actually had very close feelings of friendship, it had made Xu not want to confess. She thought that Quistis liked guys. "I thought that you liked guys." She whispered.

Quistis blushed when she felt her hand and smiled, "Well, I thought so too, but I guess being around a beatiful girl for so long changed that." She said to her and cuddled her. "So you were too shy to tell me?" She gggled a little, she felt her heart racing as she took in the other girls scent, "You smell nice.."

Xu gulped before answering, "Thank you." Then she thought a moment. "The garden doesnt really prohibit relationships. They're just not welcome because you could die in combat. Why would you want to wait til we left Garden to tell me? It would've saved us both a lot of heartache.." Xu nuzzled close to Quistis as she said this. Putting her free arm up to wrap around the blonde, Xu put her lips to Quistis's neck and gave her a small kiss. Pulling away she said, "Let's not get carried away though. We may like each other and want to be with each other, but if we get too involved then we won't focus on what we're doing. We can cuddle, kiss, hold hands, hug. Those things should be ok. But lets not take this too fast. Ok?" Xu wanted to put that out because of what happend with a couple from Tribia Garden that had gotten attacked because they were doing x rated things on a mission and hadn't noticed a grendal come up to them. The girl couldn't fight anymore as she was in a wheelchair and the boy was dead. "Maybe after this mission, if we still want to we can?"

"Hmm..fiesty aren't you?" She blushed softly, "That's a good idea," she said as she thought on it. "Because it wasn't the right time." she said thinking about it. "I..suppose..if you want to do stuff like that," her face turned completely red.

Xu decided to change the subject. Just then her phone rang. Picking it up from where she had laid her belt she looked at who it was. "It's Cid..." What a way to change the subject. I never thought that I would be happy for Cid to ruin the mood. She was torn because she wanted to spend time with Quistis and needed to do her duty. Duty would have to win out until the end of the mission. She answered the call.

Ten minutes after telling Cid that it was a decision based in logic that made her and Quistis leave, Xu finally got to hang up. Dropping her phone down on the couch, she stretched and yawned. "I'm ready for that nap now. How about you?"

Quistis watched her and thought for a moment," Well I'm kind of hungry, so I think I'll go to the dining car and get something, if you want I can get you something?" She wasn't too concerned about Cid, though a little miffed it ruined the mood. "Well, actually why don't you come with me? I don't want to leave you alone in case something happens." She said as the thought occurred to her, not that it ever happened to her before, but there were instances were monsters would attack trains, perhaps the noise bothered them?

Xu nodded and grabbed her belt. "Lets go eat. Afterwards I can take my nap." She headed to the door to wait for Quistis.

At the dinning car, the girls sat at a booth across from each other. Xu reached over and grabbed Quistis's hand to hold as she read through her menu. I finally have a girlfriend. She thought with a content smile.

"Oh so you're not tired when I mention food?" she giggled. When they sat together she couldn't help but to gaze at her. "You look happy," she said with a smile, "By the way do you think I look good in a skirt?" She was looking over the menu as well, holding her soft hand, she was such a delicate girl.

Xu looked up. "Of course I'm happy. I know that you have feeling for me. The fact that you and I are together pleases me." She looked back to the menu just as the waiter came over.

"What would you like?" He asked, looking at their hands.

Xu looked to Quistis to order first. She may have been a fighter but she was definately a 'lady'. She would let her girlfriend order first.

"Aw, you're sweet." She told her blushing lightly. She looked at the menu for a while before she decided. "Probably just a salad, I'm not that hungry."

Xu was glad that she had had a sandwich before they had started on the paperwork. It meant that she wasn't that hungry. So she just ordered pickle slices and a packet of peanut butter. She hoped that she wouldn't scare Quistis off with one of her little quirks. She loved the taste of dill pickles and peanut butter.

The waiter left with their orders, and came back with their food in about fifteen minutes. Xu ate slowly and very nerviously. The waiter had brought her a whole pickle and they didn't have a knife. So she had to break pieces apart with her hands to dip them in the peanut butter.

(Hmm..I can't think of anything, should we time skip? )

Xu walked back into the cabin and stretched again. Her gaze landed longingly on the bed. She really needed some sleep before they got to Timber. They would have to wait two hours for the next train from Timber to Galbadia. She just needed a nap.

They had finally boarded the train to Deling City. Xu sat down on the bed. She took off her shoes. "Quistis we'll be on this train for the next couple of hours. I suggest that we get some sleep before we arrive. It will be morning by the time we do, so we can head straight to the school from the train." She laid down and put her head on her pillow falling asleep instantly despite the nap she had on the first train.

Quistis agreed with her, and like she offered before, slept next to Xu while they waited for the train to stop at their next destination. When morning came she was the first to wake up. Seeing Xu's cute sleeping face made her blush. Smiling softly she reached over and gave her a kiss on the lips "Wake up, sweetie." She told her.

Xu woke up with a stretch and a yawn. She had had lovely dreams all through the short time they slept. When she saw that Quistis was sitting on the edge of the bed, sitting in a postition that suggested that Xu had been kissed awake by her beautiful girlfriend, she smiled. "Good morning Quistie."

Climbing out of bed she walked over to her suitcase and grabed her toothbrush, deoderant and a change of outfit, she headed to the water closet to get ready for their arrival. The Headmistress was expecting them to arrive by train so she didn't expect them to look as they would if they hadn't been traveling.
