She sighed, "Heavenly...So any news from Bruce or my gang?" She asked curiously, "It's been nearly a month since we've heard from them."

"Ah, right..." She turned back to the computer, with a few keys and clicks the screens changed drastically to pull up radio frequencies and the like. "There hasn't been much chatter that's gotten through. There's the odd wishing of good will from your friends in Genosha but Bruce... I haven't heard from him since he said he was sending the boys in. He was supposed to be shortly behind them... at least, that's what I got the impression of. Military has some hard-core jamming going on out there. Even I have trouble getting through it all."

"Just from my friends..." She looked down. She was hoping something from Logan... "Bunch of bastards. They probably want to keep this as quiet as possible...Especially after the mess I made of their Congress.."

"MM!" Oracle exclaimed as she sucked on her last piece of chocolate and swallowed, "I totally recorded that footage! Priceless! It's on my backup records, wanna watch?"

Ciara kinda paused for a moment, "Watch...You have enough power to do that?" She asked, not wanting to waste any of her power to watch a clip. She hadn't watched anything in so long...

"I have to keep these computers running constantly, it's not going to take any extra power to watch an old clip" Oracle shrugged as she began searching for the file, "I've got my own generator and solar panels to keep this place running. This system is everything on Gotham, not to mention everything i have. I've got it powered and protected through a lot worse than some devastating earthquake."

"Impressive..." She commented, watching her search for the clip, "It's been awhile since I've watched anything..."

"Yeah... I keep forgetting that not everyone out there has computers or even TV anymore. Mind you, I tend to remember pretty quickly when I can't just do a basic internet search anymore. And trying to call cell phones in downright impossible-although pay phones i can still do." she commented thoughtfully.
"anyway" Oracle pulled up the clip and gestured to a stool in the corner, "grab a seat and join me. Now if only we had popcorn."

Ciara grabbed a seat beside Oracle and smiled, "But we DO have popcorn." She joked, holding out an imaginary box of popcorn, "There is always popcorn for the complexly insane." She stick her tongue out.

"Ah but of course!" Barbara laughed, "In that case, please accept this gift as my honorary membership card" she flicked Ciara in the shoulder and then began to share her 'popcorn' as the clip began.

Ciara watched as Horatio appeared and then disappeared with her. Leaving congress and her own father very confused and alarmed.
"SEE MUTANTS CAN'T BE TRUSTED!" "Where did they go?" "Are we all going to disappear too?" "What just happened?!"

After about a min, the two reappeared, Ciara dressed differently and Horatio looking a bit older. She let go of Horatio and walked back up to the mic, "Ahem...AHEM! Gentlemen please calm down. Everything is fine... There's nothing to worry about. I just had a _Misunderstanding_ with my... friend here..."

"Gotta say, that guy with you is quite a looker" Barbara giggled as she watched.

-time skip?-

Ciara chuckled nervously, "Yeah...for sure..."

-Skip indeed! Where to?-

A few more days went passed without too much going on, aside from the general gang wars and whatnot of course.
In the middle of one day however, there was the sound of an explosion off shore in the water.

Ciara raiding a vending machine which had been hidden under some rubble at the time of the explosion. Much like a cat, Ciara looked toward the sound of the explosion and froze for a moment. "What are earth?" She quickly put away the rest of the contents of vending machine... stepping over a few unconscious thugs and rushed toward the sound. "Oracle, what was that explosion?"

"I'm just trying to figure that out myself" Oracle replied, "It came from South west of Gotham, off the harbor. That's borderline Two-Face territory, stand by."

Ciara formed a large string-ray shape of water and didn't waste much time, hopping on and riding it. She could move water much faster then she could run. "I'm heading in that direction now, Oracle. I pray no one was thrown in.."

Coming to the harbor, there was a crowd forming. Everyone seemed rather confused. The waves rocked against shore, something had definitely disturbed the water but there was nothing to show for it.

"Alright... this is really weird" Oracle spoke, "I actually have footage of that area... it just went off for no reason. Perfectly calm waters, been undisturbed for months now and suddenly one of the water mines just blew. I can't see a reason why."

Ciara rode her string ray form a bit above the crowd, trying to see if she could see anything. "Maybe a fish bumped into it or something..." She suggested, putting on her mask to see if she could see anything.

"They're designed to only go off for anything that's at least five feet long or bigger" Oracle replied, "fish don't set these things off. Not to mention... well, it's Gotham Bay. I don't think there are fish down there anymore..."

there didn't seem to be much for heat signatures, although the water did go fairly deep.

" Could a dolphin have wandered in?" She questioned before turning to the crowd, "Did anyone see what happened? Did someone try and swim for it?" She asked.

The people just shook their heads, no one saw anything apparently.

"... right.... Dolphins in Gotham..." Oracle replied with a sigh, "I don't know. I'm not getting any readi-hang on... hmm... that's weird..." she mumbled as she looked into something.

She sighed upon hearing no new info from the people. "What's weird, Oracle?"

"uh... well, nothing around where you are actually. It's on the other side of the city, I think someone must have stumbled across one of my old emergency beacons. There's something that just started giving off a faint signal on the bat-frequency."

"Give me the coordinates, Oracle. There doesn't seem to be anything here. I'll check it out."
