Ciara was at the window. "Why has the security gone off? Who's the dangerous mutant?" She asked, looking to see if she could see anything from the window.

"I dunno" Pietro peered out the window with her, "Nothing to worry about in here though. You're safe, I'll protect you" he grinned.


Nathan found himself stumbling to the edge of the island, nothing but water in front of him as he was forced to turn to face his pursuers, "This isn't what it looks like" he spoke between breaths as he raised his hands in defense, "I'm not the man you think I am Summers."

Ciara chuckled, "Save me, Pietro." She jumped up in his arms. "Save me from the scary Godzilla monster!"


"And what does it looks like Sinister? We rescue Ciara from you and now you've shown up on the island?"

"MY NAME IS NATHANIEL ESSEX" he yelled, "And I never LEFT" his eyes glowed red as he tried to get in their minds, to force them back but Emma already had him blocked out.

"Not this time you fiend" Storm called as the wind picked up and slammed into Nathan's back.

Nathan stumbled to his knees and reached towards Storm, grabbing hold of her kinetically to drag her harshly to the ground.

"Take him down. Capture him." Scott ordered, "Give up Sinister, your mental tricks won't work on us."
As the battle to contain Sinister continued, Dr. Nemesis hurried toward them, carrying a small briefcase.

Colossus pinned Nathaniel Essex to the ground.

Scott turned his head when the Doctor showed up, "You have it?"

Dr. Nemesis pulled out a collar, "Would I be here if I didn't?"

"NO!" Nathan growled, struggling to be free but Iceman joined Colossus, freezing Nathan's body to the ground to help keep him down.

"Hurry Scott!" Storm called.

Dr. Nemesis latched the collar around his neck, "This might hurt which I hope it does for you."

Scott stood over him, "Sinister. Under Genoshian Law, you are here by to be contained for your crimes and your unquestionable acts against humanity. You have been marked as dangerous and will be treated as such." He crossed his arms, "And if I had my way... you'd be die right here, right now... Take him away."

Colossus picked up the ice covered body and lead the way to containment.

"AAHHHH" Nathan yelled as the collar took control, his glowing eyes began to fade and his body began to shift and change as his powers were subdued. After a moment he looked so different from any form he had taken before, so much younger than ever expected. His skin was white as snow and his hair as black as the inside of a coffin on a moonless night. His body had shrunk somewhat, turned into the appearance of a mere ten-year-old boy that somehow looked familiar to Scott. No one else would have recognized Nathan's true form but the leader of the x-squad did, this was one of the boys from his childhood, someone who had lived in the orphanage that Scott had spent much of his childhood in.

Scott stared for a moment, a blank expression on his face before turning and pushing the communicator, "We've got him, Emma. He's being moved to containment. I want the cuckoos ready for interrogation when we get there. Turn Security measures to Code Yellow. It was too easy grabbing him. I want to make sure he doesn't have anything up his sleeves. Pietro still with Ciara?" He asked.

"I'm on it" Emma replied, "and he is. She seems to be well on her way to recovery"

"And I want to keep it that way. This matter is to been on a Need to know basics. Even Pietro shouldn't know about this. He's spending too much time with her...He could tip her off by accident."

"Noted" Emma nodded, "Now sweety, why don't you come in and tell me what's bothering you?"

Scott sighed, "Fine. But don't call me that over the com-link." He headed over to main control and flomped down in a chair. "He has some nerve trying to weasel his way back into Genosha. We need to increase entrance security."

Emma walked over and began massaging his shoulders, "Security already has some mutants on edge just trying to come here" she pointed out, "and when it comes to shape-shifters, we'd have to start testing everyone's DNA upon arrival." she paused, "but there's something else... not that I was prying dear, but your mind gave a strange jerk when they put the collar on him."

"I know..." He sighed, " He... He looked like a boy I knew. Back in the orphanage. He was there. But the question is.. why was he?"

"... that is odd" Emma frowned, "Well. the cuckoos are ready for the interrogation if you want to begin"

Scott met the girls outside the room. "I don't care what it takes. Get the information we're looking for." He opened the door and stood in front of him, "Why are you here?"

Nathan was strapped to a metal chair in the center of the room, he lifted his soft brown eyes to look at Scott, they were so normal looking, so different from the red embers that Cyclops was used to seeing. "What are any of us doing here Scott?" he asked calmly in return, "on this hunk of planet we call earth. You may as well ask me the meaning of life."

The cuckoos surrounded their victim on three sides, prying into his mind for the answer. Nathan's eyes narrowed but he didn't move. "he is proving difficult" the cuckoos spoke together, "he seems to be reciting German poetry"

"With or without my powers, do you really think I don't know how to thwart a telepath?" Nathan glared, "If you want me to answer any questions, you're going to have to get someone else to ask them. You're going to have to bring in Ciara McCoy."

"That's not going to happen. Pry harder. I'll be back." Scott ordered leaving the room.

By the time Scott reached the end of the corridor, Nathan's screams were echoing through the halls.

Three days passed with no change, no one had ever stood against the cuckoos longer than a day before.

Scott stood outside in the viewing room of the Healing Hand's pool with Beast. "It's been 3 days. We've got nothing out of him. He'll only talk to Ciara... Do you think the truth drug would help break him?"


Ciara ran across the water, "Come on Pietro! We have the WHOLE POOL to ourselves." She called excitedly, wearing a aqua coloured bathing suit which also kept track of her vitals etc, which then transferred to Beast's tablet. She turned and noticed the two of them. She grew shy and waved politely.

Pietro sped out into view, "Hahaha! You think you're the only one who can walk on water?" he sped across the pool and back, "VOILA!"

"But can you stay in one place?" She asked running out to him. "Here give me your hands." She took his hands and stared backing up into the pool. Making them both stand on top of the water together.

"It's hard to say" Beast replied, waving back to Ciara with a smile, "the cuckoos have never been held back like this before. Although I have noticed he hasn't been taking to the collar very well, I'm concerned that he's getting sick."


Pietro stepped onto the water tentively, "okay... that's cool" he grinned widely.

"Let him suffer a little bit. It's the least we can do for all the people he's butchered." Scott commented coldly, waving at Ciara.

Ciara was concreting very hard. "Oh." They started to sink. "We're sinking!" And with that, they both fell into the water. Ciara came up for air and laughed.
