Ciara pulled back from the hug and looked down, "Well, I was talking to Emma Frost and Mystic when I ended up saying I didn't know a lot of womanly things because I'd never had a womanly figure in my life... I had to leave cause the thought had rather upset me and Horatio showed up and told me I could go see her...

I couldn't tell her who I was, it was really hard. Horatio made it seem like I couldn't engage with her which I can understand but she sat down right beside me in a park. She was six months pregnant with me..."

Phil took a moment, thinking back, "... you were the crazy woman at the bench."

Ciara blushed. "...I guess from her perspective I was. I couldn't resist giving her a hug at the end when I had to leave... Guess that would seem rather weird."

Phil started laughing, "Well you left an impression, I'll tell you that. And it actually warms my heart to know that you got to meet her" he hugged Ciara again, "and to know that she got to meet her wonderful and strange daughter"

She couldn't help but chuckle. "I'm not strange!" She whined, "I'm special!"

"in a very strange way" input Nathan as he awoke finally. He tried to move his arms but discovered he was bound to the bed, "... what did I do this time?"

Ciara pouted over at Nathan at his input. "Well... you decided since you couldn't get any test subjects you decided to test on yourself. And by test I mean, cut open your arm with your nails and play around with the nerves in it."

He looked down at his arm, "oh... right. I suppose that is something I shouldn't be doing." he frowned a bit, "sometimes those lines get... foggy" his eyes drifted up to Ciara again as that well known look of processing information crossed his face. It was still odd to see such a look on his childish face.

She sat down and placed a hand on his arm, "It's ok Nathan. That's why we're all trying to help you. To keep you from hurting others and yourself. I think I may have an idea of how to help you but I'll have to take it up with some of the doctors... How are you feeling?"

"I feel... fine" Nathan sighed, staring at the ceiling, "and that's half the problem. That terrifies me. I don't feel as though anything's wrong. I only know, at times when I look back on it, that my behavior is socially unacceptable and if I want to keep anyone as a friend, I need to change it before... before I become completely like Sinister."

"We wouldn't let that happen." She stated firmly, taking a hold of his hand and giving it a squeeze. " We just need to give you something tokeep you engaged and then make you aware when you are doing it..." She slapped his hand," You are doing it. " She stated as his hand seemed to feeling the joints in her hand.

"What? No, I'm just... checking your pulse..." Nathan replied, "... uhh... nice and healthy..."

Ciara gave him a look. "Mhm. You don't have to try.to explain to me Nathan. How would you like to plan a sort of science puzzle game?" She asked, a sparkle in her eye.

"uuuhhh.... kay?" Nathan replied uncertainly. He glanced at Phil who only nodded, giving his approval.

Ciara pulled some photocopies in a file folder from under her chair, "Let's see... A patient has lost control of their powers due to falling out of a plane... Whenever this person opens their eyes they shoot lasers and can't make it stop. How would you go about trying to help this patient?"

Nathan paused, "... Scott Summers?"

"..." She looked up at Phil. "It was the only file I could get on my own... This is a game Nathan. What would you do to help this patient?"

"uuummm.... okay..." Nathan closed his eyes for a moment, "dna shows no signs of a deteriorated or damaged X-gene, preliminary analysis shows no visible physical or mental injuries however the full body scan reveals signs of the trauma; broken ribs-the third through sixth, broken humerus and fractured ulna on the right arm although all have healed to satisfactory. The only thing of note is a fracture in the skull, upon further study there is some minor brain damage revealed within the cerebellum, aka the primal brain. While his general instincts do not appeared to be damaged there is a small mass of scar tissue on the right hand side. Suggested courses of action: 1) remove scar tissue-23% chance that it may result in permanent damage to primal instincts and the senses, 2) repair scar tissue with an experimental restorative agent I invented ten years ago-56% chance that it may result in increased brain damage spreading further into the right brain and creative thought processes." he rambled on about it very quickly but then he stopped for a breath and opened his eyes, "or... no, that one's stupid."

Ciara made quick notes, "Or what?" She asked curiously.

"Ah... well, it would've been more effective if done more recently to the accident, but in theory, if we stimulated the primal brain on a regular basis, we may be able to recreate the electrical impulses that once ran through that scar tissue. However at this point in his life, it is far more difficult to create new electrical pathways." he paused again, "unleesss... we used my restorative agent in tandem with this process, the only risk with that is that it might cause the scar tissue to spread instead of the good tissue to heal. It's really a 50/50 chance-but so worth trying..."

"Thank you Nathan. I'll let the right people know what you think should be done... Now, there's a girl who admits poison from her body in various ways, airborne, contact, liquid, etc. And she can't control it. What would you do?" Ciara asked him about several people.

Nathan responded with various theories, but they always ended up with him needing more information, requesting that certain tests be done-and not all of them exactly unevasive either. Hell, with one of them he straight up said he would need to do a biopsy to get enough information. That was just the way he had always done things, come up with the idea and follow through to find the answers.

Each time he suggested a way that was society wrong, she shook her head, "Nope can't do that. Try again." She stated and when he argued she stated, "Not polite or morally right to do it."

"Well then how are you supposed to find out what you need to know to fix them?! Or the next person who comes along with such an infliction?" Nathan demanded, a bit frustrated now.

"Stop. Take a deep breath. There's always another way to help people. You just need to think of another way, a way that you don't end up hurting people in the process. That's what you've been lacking. The line that you can not at any time cross. Do you understand?"
