Batman nodded and Pietro took off like lightning.
"... Red Tornado, see who we can get on the south western seaboard." Batman stated when they had gone, "I want the Reach to start focusing their attention elsewhere as soon as possible. Let them think the first attack was a distraction."

Red Tornado nodded, "I'll call in some favors..." And he went to work.

Once they arrived at the coordinates, Sting Ray stabilized the water, so they won't sink. She popped a mouth breather into Pietro and created a current that lead them straight to the ship. It didn't take long to find an entrance and work their way inside.

The two of them hid behind a couple of barrels. Sting Ray removed all the water off of them and wrapped it in her hair for later use. Using, hand movements, they communicated and made their way around the ship. Trying to locate Nightwing.

It didn't take long for them to get to the coordinates, but it did take awhile to make their way through the water and by the time they got the Reach's half-destroyed base it was looking far too abandoned.
There wasn't a sign of anyone there anymore and a lot of sections were underwater.

"Nightwing!"she yelled, checking something on here arm. " I'm not picking up his signal. Nor any heat signatures... Damn, they've taken him." She went over to the module and started tapping away. "Damn... I cant figure out this language..." She cursed. Why hadn't they been quicker. She pushed on her glove and a pin like device came out of her index finger. She stabbed her finger into the console. "come on... Download faster..." She mumbled as data was being transfered to her suit. She held her hand out behind them, holding the water bavk.

"I'm gonna take a quick look around" Pietro stated, zipping around the abandoned ship while Ciara was downloading. Suddenly he returned and grabbed Ciara, "We've gotta get out, NOW!" he exclaimed, "it's gonna self destruct!"

Ciara's eyes widened in horror. She pulled her finger out and jumped into his arms. "Go"

Pietro sped out of there, the explosion ended up pushing them through the water to the surface, in a less than pleasant way.

Ciara stablized the water around them, caughting them both and setting them on the surface. "Are you ok?"She asked, coughing a little water.

Pietro spat out the mouth breather and coughed a bit, "uhg... talk about a close call" he sputtered, "I'm fine, you?"

" A little dizzy from the blast but Ill be alright." She sighed, " You need a min?" She asked.

Pietro nodded, "Yeah... you get anything from their database?"

" I think so. " She pushed a button on her arm and a unknown langugage flashed avross her goggles. " we'll have to wait til we get bavk to try and translate it... "

"Okay" Pietro sighed, taking a few deep breaths before nodding, "alright. Lets go."

She popped the air breather in her mouth and gave him a thumbs up.

Pietro wrapped his arms around her and took off. Soon they were back on base.

Ciara hurried over to the computer, "Computer download data and begin language decrypting software."

The computer got to work and Pietro collapsed on the couch with a sigh.

Soon enough the rest of the team got back to the base as well.

Ciara headed over shortly after adjusting the settings on the program and flomped her head into his lap. "...So.. That was a fun date." She yawned, sheepishly.

The team came through the door, looking and feeling grim.
Aqua Lad hurried over to the two, "Did you find him? Is he-?"
Sting Ray put a hand out to stop him, "Place was deserted. No sign of him anywhere. They must have captured him. I grabbed some data from their computers, to see if there was anything we could go by to find him. Language program has been working for hours...." She replied.

"This is all my fault." Blue Beetle looked down ashamed, "I should have stayed behind. We should have left him by himself..."

Miss Martian put a hand on his shoulder, "He didn't give us a choice. All we can do now is wait and pray that they'll keep him alive."

Robin didn't say a word, his fists were clenched and he just turned on his heel and stormed off. Superboy carried Kid Flash to the infirmary. Pietro petted Ciara's head.

"I'm worried Pietro..." She whispered softly.

Blue Beetle looked over at the computer screen as it went through the data. The alien language visible on the screen.

"Hang in there" Pietro replied gently, "we'll find him."

~I know this language. Translating. "medical file 5234, test subject 26 was unable to withstand the strain of the device. Stronger test subject required"~ the beetle began translating.

Ciara whimpered, rolling onto her other side.

"Wait, seriously?! Guys, my beetle can read this." Blue Beetle called.

Within seconds, Ciara was up and over at the computer, "For real? That's amazing!" Ciara pulled the files into another window and opened several smaller windows with all the information on it. "Ask it if there's anything here about Nightwing, other ships or where they would have gone in case of emergency."

~If you are so insistent upon saving this human then let us go hunt him down ourselves and crush the enemy into dust. We do not need the extra baggage~

"These are my new team mates, new friends. Just do what the lady asked you to do."

~Uhg. Fine.~ the beetle replied and continued to translate. The information was incomplete, Ciara had been pulled away too quickly to get it all but from what they were able to get, there was another base off the west coast somewhere. It didn't mention Nightwing specifically but that was their best shot.
