"Excellent" the Reach Ambassador viewed the people with interest before turning back to Kaldur, "Good work Kaldur'ahm. You and your father have proven to be great allies to the Reach."

"You honor our family with your praise." He bowed once more, "I have never seen a ship like this before. "He commented, referring to the alien like walls, "I would appreciate it very much if you would spare a few moments to share the wonders of your people with me."

He considered it for a moment before nodding, not wanting to insult his allies, "Of course. I have many things to attend to myself but Kilshar here would be more than happy to show you around" he gestured to one of his associates.

"Of course, your generosity is beyond measure. It was a pleasure to meet such a powerful man. May the great ocean god bring you good tidings." He bowed once more before approaching Kilshar, " Please, led on."

The Ambassador nodded and left while Kilshar went about showing Kaldur around the ship.

Kaldur'ahm ooed and awed and flattered the alien associate's knowledge. So much so that he was able to get him to show him where they took the humans for testing.
"Incredible... I had no idea these pods had such abilities..."

"Oh of course, we must assure that all of our test subjects are in perfect health" the alien replied, "if they are anything less, then they may not survive the round of testing. That said however, most do not survive anyway."

"I see... And we had to take our time in this last bunch of subjects... I must apologize for making you all wait so long. I wonder then what you've all been working on since our last shipment-"

"Make them stop!!!! Please make them stop!"

Kaldur'ahm turned toward one of the doors and then looked back at the alien man, "One of those who has survived I presume?"

Ciara's gem was glowing as she yelled at the figure no one else could see, "Please don't go!! Don't leave me!" She yelled, tears forming as the figure began to fade slightly.

Several scientists rushed past the two and into the room, scrambling to keep the systems from crashing. Kaldur'ahm could see the screens flashing and an outline of the back of the pod bed but not who was in it.

"Ah, a particularly interesting subject" he replied, "a pregnant mutant with a powerful x-genome. It's been difficult to try and stabilize her mood swings, apparently the human body goes through many hormonal changes during the process of creating their young."

"Ah yes. It is a most unnerve racking event in the human reproductive. It is rather draining for the males to keep up with all the demands. But there are techniques that can be used. " He walked into through the open door and approached Mitsue. "May I?"

"uummm..." Mitsue glanced to Kilsar for a moment who shrugged and nodded in return, "Of course... But do be advised, we are trying to keep her in a stable condition..."

Kaldur'ahm nodded and hopped up on the platform he paused a moment, surprised to see who it was. Princess... had they made her this way? Or was this the Silver wolf's child?

"Don't-Don't go!" She cried, tears steaming down her face as the figure vanished. But another replaced it. Kaldur placed a hand on head and began to pet her gently, "Enough, you've done enough crying..." He said in such a gentle tone.

The feel of another's hand...someone talking to her... physical human contact... Real contact. She almost stopped right away. How long had it been since someone had touched her so caringly.

The screens rebooted slowly.

"There. It's ok... Calm yourself. This has all been a bad dream..." He said softly, reaching down and unhooking her limbs from the bed. "Come here." He sat down on the side of the bed and held his arms wide.

Ciara blinked, her vision blurred like always. Without thinking curled into his embrace, sniffling softly. "Thank you..."

He simply brushed his hand through her hair. "Physical contact... You can pump her with all the drugs in the world but take away physical contact from a pregnant woman who is already overwhelmed with emotions and you're asking for trouble." He advised.

The scientists stared on in amazement. After a few moments Mitsue quickly snapped at them all to get back to work while she hastily began writing down notes on the new discovery.

"Are...Are you real?" Ciara asked softly, this figure smelled of the sea...rather familiar.
"Yes, Genoshian Princess."
"Huh-...Kaldur'...ahm?" The voice.
"Yes."
"You're a bad person too?"
"I'm afraid so, dear Princess."
She looked up at him with a dazed and yet sad expression on her face, "Not you too...

Kaldur'ahm looked up, "Mitsue, I am curious. When the Light handed Miss McCoy over, was she pregnant then? Or is this part of a Reach experiment?" He didn't look worried about her safety or anything, just curious.

"We discovered her pregnancy during the initial scans when she arrived" Mitsue replied, "We believe the father to be Pietro Maximoff. Not terribly promising in the x-genome himself, we can only hope that the children take after Magneto more than their father."

"She is a strong one... Surely her genes will only select the finest of his..." He picked up the cup and tipped it to her lips, "Drink, girl..." He turned his attention back to Mitsue, "Regardless of who the father is, it is indeed a rare prize we the light have given you. I trust you will use it wisely." He began to get up but Ciara grabbed hold of him.

"Ju-...Just till I fall asleep?...Please?"

Kaldur'ahm sat back down, "Very well, if Mitsue permits it."

"If you would not mind" Mitsue bowed her head to Kaldur, "she could use a proper, natural, rest."

"Thank you...even if you're evil..."
"Enough talk, just rest." He spoke gently. She looked terrible. They were keeping her well fed and watered but must have been pumping tons of drugs through her. He could tell the large bags under her eyes and how her fingers twitched every now and then.

She lay with her eyes part way open, her breathing slowing and calming.

He hymed softly, every now and then saying a few words from the song he hymed. "...The sting ray and the seahorse.." He whispered softly. That was the signal. Key words Sting Ray.

The young Justice team hit full force, backed up by a few members of the x-squad as well. An explosion rocked the other end of the ship and immediately sirens began to blare. Meanwhile a second strike team honed in on Kaldur's signal and came to bring Ciara out.

Floor by floor the underground ship was taken over.
"How much further?" Artemis asked.
"7 more! Free all human subjects. Stop the reach at all cost!" A robot replied, having a large X logo spray painted on it.


Kaldur'ahm held tightly to Ciara as he hurried along the corridors. "Hurry Mitsue!" He called, "We must escape.." Can you guys be any slower?

Turn left and find out. Miss Martian's voice rang loud and clear.

Mitsue panted along, trailing just behind Kaldur, "how do they keep finding us?!" she cursed.

"Good Question. Too Bad you keep abduction fellow super heroes." Miss Martin claimed, hovering above several mutants and League members, "Surrender Kaldur'ahm, you're out matched."

Kaldur'ahm turned to find Magick teleporting a bunch more mutants behind them.

"It seems I have no choice... I surrender."

Mitsue looked back and forth between the two groups and then sighed and raised her hands in surrender, "not again..."

Beast immediately stepped forward and took Ciara from Kaldur's arms, eyeing him a moment and baring his teeth at the boy.

Kaldur'ahm had wrapped her in a red cloth. He didn't hesitate when Beast approached to hand Ciara over. Kaldur'ahm held his hands above his hands and stepped back beside Mitsue. A faint beeping noise could be heard from Kaldur's belt. Before either side of super heroes could react, a boom tube opened up beneath Kaldur'ahm and the two of them vanished.

"Hmmm.." Ciara began to stir, the familiar feel of fur waking her from her deep slumber. "Daddy?..." She looked up at him and suddenly began very worried, "Don't look, I can explain." She held her stomach tightly, the largen stomach being more visiable.

Beast just held her close, encompassing her in his furry arms, "Do not fret little droplet" he spoke softly to her, rubbing his cheek against hers, "I will make everything better"
