Violet paused, he had such gentle hands, slowly she looked up and into his eyes where her gaze stopped, "That would be lovely actually... I'm..I'm sure I could always make it up to you. Perhaps a meal for babysitting?" She asked, not moving. Rather enjoying the depth his eyes held.

"That sounds more than fair" he smiled back, finding himself lost in her eyes as well. Before he even knew it he was merely a hair's breath from her lips.

Violet would have loved nothing better than to have this young rogue steal a kiss from her cherry red lips but that feeling comes over her. A feeling which she had no control over. The feeling of being pushed through the veil.

"No." Violet took a step back, "I'm sorry I.." Violet fled the room and almost made it all the way down the hallway to her room before it hit her completely. Violet stopped, and went limp from the chest up but continued to stand, her eyes closed.

Luke stood up but didn't approach Violet, "She's ghosting again..." He mumbled.

Charles startled, going after her with a look of concern, "Violet-I'm so sorry I didn't mean to-ghosting?" he looked at Luke in confusion, "What do you mean? What's happening?"

"Ghosting. She's going behind the veil... like in Danny Phantom or was it Harry Potter." Luke took a hold of Charles pant leg and hugged it.

Violet seemed to be mumbling to herself as if having a conversation with someone. Then she stood up straight, her hair bellowing as if there was a gentle breeze and her eyes glazed over, glowing dimly. "..." She looked down at Luke, "Hello Lukie."

"Grandma!" Luke ran over to Violet and hugged her.

Violet's voice and the way she held herself changed. She laughed lightly in a very old sounding voice that almost didn't sound like Violet's at all. "My how you've grown." She ruffled his hair. "Eatting all your vegetables are you? Good, good." Violet looked up at Charles, "And who might you be, sonny?"

"um..." it took a moment for Charles to compose himself, he had never heard of this type of power before. It was incredible! "Charles McHale" he pronounced, offering his hand to her in greeting, "I'm just moving into the building. Violet was kind enough to have me over for dinner"

Violet eyed him, "Huh. That's my Granddaughter. Always had a good eye." She shook his hand, "Lukie, go grab the cards."

Luke ran over and grabbed a deck of Uno cards. Violet sat down at the table and started dealing the cards out, "You know how to play Charles?"

Charles smiled, "One of my favorite games" he replied, taking a seat with them, "I must say, you look very young for your age" he joked.

"Oh stop," She slapped his hand playfully before turning to Luke, "He's a keeper. Make sure your sister holds onto this one."

Luke nodded, "Iy Iy, Captain Grandie!"

They played several rounds before Luke started to get sleepy. They put on a recorder, Mr. Sandman playing in the background as Violet held Luke as he started to drift to sleep

"Kiss Grandma before she has to go Love."

"Bye bye Grandma..." Luke kissed her cheek, "Tuck me in?"

She smiled, "I think I have time for that." She picked Luke up and put him to bed. She sat down on the couch and patted the spot beside her for Charles to sit down and rested her head on his shoulder, "You seem like a nice boy... make sure it stays that way, "She teased before drifting to sleep.

A few mins later, Violet opened her eyes, "Mmmm... where?"

"Violet?" Charles asked hopefully, looking at her eyes, "Hey, it's alright. Apparently that was your grandmother..." he smiled, "she's lovely."

Violet paused and turned bright red, "Oh my gosh." She got up and took a couple steps away, "How embarrassing. She didn't smack your butt did you?" She asked turning around.

"No" Charles chuckled, "She was lovely." he repeated, "We played Uno." he stood and tilted her chin to look at him, "I had no idea you had such a gift."

"It...It's not something I like to bring up." She pulled away, playing with her hair nervously," Dead people just tend to... take over or they show up and start talking to me... Which looks really weird to people walking by... And when people find out, they kinda freak out and demand I channel they're loved ones. But, I can't pick or choice who takes over. So, I don't bring it up..."

"It's alright" Charles spoke softly, "I understand, believe me, more than you know. Even now, in a place filled with mutants you can feel like the freak of the freaks. You let one thing slip and suddenly they'd be all over you but you must understand that I don't care. Everyone on this island has an ability that they've had to figure out, to work around or with just to be able to function in society. It's a struggle but it's worth it, it just takes time." he offered her a gentle smile, "It's late, I should go but if you ever need anything just give me a call alright? I'll do whatever I can to help."

She smiled back, "Well, the fact you stayed around means a lot to me." She headed over to the door and opened it for him and kissed him on the cheek, "Thanks for understanding...I'll see you around?"

He nodded, "Goodnight" and left. In the elevator down he leaned against the wall and sighed happily.

The next day around noon, Ciara was stopping for lunch at a local cafe with the news crew when Nathan of all people came by, "Ciara!" he smiled happily and came over to her. He was still stuck in his child form being trailed by Gambit.

"Nathan!" Ciara got up and gave him a warm hug, "How have you been? I haven't seen you in ages."

Nathan was glad to hug her back tightly, it'd been awhile since he'd been allowed to have physical contact with anyone, "Yeah... I've been working through a lot of stuff" he sighed, "But hey! Thirty days without incident ^_^ so I get to have a day on the town." he admired her stomach, "woowww, you look great! How far along are you?"

"I'm glad to hear you're doing better.. Coming along to 4 months now. Twins." She smiled warmly, "Would you like to touch it?" She asked.

The camera crew looked at each other and one of them slowly angled a camera which was resting on a table and pushed the record button.

Nathan put his hands on her stomach in fascination, "Twins? Fraternal or Identical? Do you know what genders yet?" he began bombarding her with questions, which was better than the usual of trying to find out the answers himself.

"Fraternal. And a boy and a girl, if the ultra sound reading was correct." She smiled, "You really have come a long way." She waved at Gambit when she noticed him chilling back.

Gambit waved back and Nathan, with some effort, finally took his hands off Ciara's stomach, "That's fascinating." he looked up and smiled at her, then he noticed the camera crew, "... What are they doing?" he asked. After all, he'd been stuck in lock up for about a month.

"Filming. G-"
"G.Gordan." Gordan introduced himself after finished what he was eating before approaching them. "And who might you be little one?" He asked

Nathan just sighed, the one majorly irritable thing about having his powers shut down was that everyone saw him as a child, "My name is Nathan and I assure you that appearances are very deceiving..." he looked at Gordan a moment, then cocked his head to the side, really looking at him, "... I know you."

"Ah. A fan of the show are you?" Gordan asked, a twinkle in his eyes. "Jeff get one of my books." Gordan pulled out a pen and signed it before handing Nathan a copy of the book. "Now... You seem to know Miss McCoy rather well... Where's you meet?"
