Now that there was no background noise, she was able to fully hear what his voice sounded like. She sat up on her elbows, staring into his eyes, "P-Pietro?"

Hesitantly he pulled off his mask and wig combination and smiled at her nervously, "surprise?"

"You stupid idiot." She replied, reaching up and pressing her lips against his.

Pietro just smiled and kissed her back.

After several mins, Ciara pushed away. "No. I can't do this." She beat at his chest, "You betrayed me." She pushed him off and got up, wrapping her arms around herself "I can't go through this again."

"Ciara! Please-look, I'm sorry" Pietro got to his feet as well, reaching towards her, "I didn't mean any of that stuff before, you know how it was between the brotherhood and x-men then. I was just getting them off my back-and I regretted it ever since but you never talked to me again after that."

Ciara half turned, arms still crossed. "Do you even realize how much of a fool you mean me look? From day one I had defended you and your friends against all the crap that came out of Scott and the others mouths and then you just plunged a dagger in my back without hesitation... Of COURSE I never talked to you after that. You ripped my heart in two... If you mean what you say... then prove it."

"You said this was the best night you've ever had" Pietro argued, "how is that not proof enough that I care?"

Ciara looked down, thinking it over. "You've provided that you're committed. Now commit, ask me the question."

Pietro looked confused, "what question?"

It was an obvious thing to ask a girl you liked. A question that if she said yes, would make her yours.

"Well." She brushed her dress off, "If you can't figure that out... Then we're done here."

"No-wait" he scratched his head, trying to think, "ummm..." damned womanly wiles. How was he supposed to know what she was thinking, "... will you.... go on a date with me?"

Ciara stopped, a small smirk on her face as she turned with her arms behind her back. "Hmmm... Not QUITE the right question but it's a start. Yes Pietro Quick Silver, I would love to go on a date with you."

Pietro's face lit up and he grabbed her, picking Ciara up and spinning her around, "Awesome!"

"Eeek!" Not expecting to be picked up, Ciara gripped tightly to Pietro. Once they stopped Ciara coughed lightly, "Ahem, yes well... Going to take me home?"

((Pietro hasn't wished Ciara happy Birthday :p))

He smiled and took her hand, "I'll walk with you" he offered, "never thought I'd say this but, if I carried you there it would be too fast for me."

Ciara blushed and kissed his cheek, "That's fine by me. This has certainly been an interesting Birthday." She smiled, swinging her hand in his.

Pietro grinned and they walked back to Magneto's mansion together. He kissed her goodnight, "Hope your birthday was everything you wanted" he told her happily.

"I couldn't have asked for a better birthday surpise." She smiled sweetly. "Good Night Speedie."

"Goodnight" Pietro waved and once she was inside and out of sight he spun in a circle and sped away happily.

Ciara hummed as she headed down the hall. Spinning a few times.

"It took him FOREVER to ask me out officially." She crossed her arms, "That's honestly the only thing I wanted to do. I didn't want to unofficial go out again, way too much stress not knowing."

"I thought if you knew it was me, you'd never say yes" Pietro shrugged, "plus, it wasn't until we were all on Genosha that I thought it might actually work out"

"Regardless, it was pretty romantic of you. I saw a side I'd never seen and I rather liked it. Yes and having our two groups living under the same roof per say,really helped. Not just our relationship but our cause as well."

"And how did the elusive x-squad manage to bring others-even previously labelled terrorists-to a new way of thought?" Gordon questioned.

Ciara though about it. "That's actually a good question. I think one of the reasons is now that we're no longer trying to hide our true selves from the world... People have started realizing that we're just people. We have our bad days and good days. We laugh, and cry. The only difference is some of us can shot lasers out of our eyes and others can't.

Also, thanks to thinks like Youtube and mutant awareness groups, people aren't being spoon feed information from the media as much. Some news channels have a certain view point.. Thanks to the internet and other media outlets, people are able to judge us not on what the media says but on actual footage of things we've done. The lives we've saved. The people we refused to fight...
