Charles gave her a kiss, "You'll be alright" he promised, "nothing to be scared of."

She placed her head on his thigh and curled into a ball, she looked across to Ciara. "You've grown rather fond of him haven't you?"

Ciara blushed, "Oh, how could I not be? Look at those cute little cheeks and the way he wiggles his toes when you hold him up high." She said rather proudly, holding him up to watch him wiggle happily. "Who's mommy's wiggly worm? Who's a little Time Lord? You are, yes you are." She rubbed noses with him.

Charles chuckled.


-Between worlds-

Horatio was laughing his butt off as they watched from afar.

"moooommmmm >_<" Max groaned, completely embarrassed.

"You're the one who picked her to raise you" Horatio pointed out.

"I'm starting to regret that decision -_- perhaps I should have let the Reach have me"

"But then you would have been evil"

"Yeah, but at least I wouldn't be a wiggle worm!"

They both laughed.

It took a few days and some severe time and effort but eventually they managed to locate Magneto, thanks to Sabertooth. It had gotten to that point where they actually hired the man.

Magneto was in Bialya, which raised some significant concern. Scott was just getting ready to deploy the team, Ciara and Pietro were not on it-they just had babies after all.

(I figured as much but I was still drawing a blank.... Who else is on the team?))

Charles and Violet were both on board. Whatever Eric was planning, if Charles couldn't convince him to stop perhaps Violet channelling Magda would work... if she could get it to work. She'd seen glimpses of Magda but she didn't approach Violet. Perhaps because they had taken her warning to heart.

It was about half-way there that Charles started picking up something... It was like someone's thoughts but he only got glimpses of it... like trying to get a station on a radio but it wasn't coming in clear.

It seemed to becoming in the direction of one of the larger storage compartments. The jet had been designed after the one they had at the mansion.

"Charles?" Violet asked, "What's wrong?

"I'm... not sure" Charles unbuckled himself and got up, walking over to the compartment suspiciously. In one quick motion he opened the storage door, ready to attack whatever was inside.

Out toppled Ciara and Pietro onto the floor. It wasn't the biggest compartment.

"Umm... Hi" Ciara waved nervously from the floor, "Guess there's no need for these anymore." Ciara plucked her other ear cuff off of Pietro's ear.

"You have GOT to be kidding me." Scott unbuckled himself and came back, arms crossed. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Tagging along...Damn, I was sure it would work... you never found me in there when I was little." She got up.

"x.x I think you landed on my spleen" Pietro groaned, getting up and helping Ciara to her feet as well.

"Who is watching the children?" Charles questioned.

"Phil" Pietro shrugged, "and by the way, if you turn around to bring us back now, you might not get there in time before my father decides to do whatever it is he's doing that will probably kill all humans. Guess you're stuck with us!"

"Sorry sweetie." She kissed his cheek.
Scott sighed, "...Grab a seat. But you're both in big trouble when this is over- Wait. IS THIS WHERE YOU ALWAYS HID?!" Scott exclaimed looking at the compartment.

"Maybe..." Ciara said, rubbing the back of her head.

Scott covered his visor with his hand, "Do you have any idea how many times I ripped the mansion apart trying to find you?"

Pietro snickered, "That's my girl. Pranking Summers since the dawn of time" he high fived Ciara.

"You two. Sit. NOW." Scott said in a very serious which mean Ciara park herself into a seat.

Once they were both seated, he went back up to the front, "How we doing Emma?" He asked.

"Not much further now sweetie" Emma replied

Scott sat down, not impressed but they could use all the help they could get. Ciara and Pietro might also be able to get Eric to see reason.

After another hour they were landing covertly near the location and soon they were infiltrating the base.

Inside the members of the Light had gathered in a large room with a massive device erected in the center. There were nine terminals around it, each waiting for the input of a different member to activate their station. Magneto was just placing and adjusting the last piece of it.
"This is quite the technology Mr. Lensurr" Luther commented as he watched, "A device that can turn average people into mutants."

"It had a few flaws the last time I tried to use it" Magneto replied sourly, "At least this time it shouldn't kill all those affected." he looked over to the Brain, "Are you sure we have the proper schematics to cover the whole world? One mountain out of place and it won't web properly"

((Gah. I don't wanna play Scott right now.))

They'd broken into a couple of groups. Currently Ciara was in an air duct above the room, looking through a grate. Her eyes widened when she heard what they were talking about. All the humans turn into mutants?....No.nononononononono. Ciara could fell her heart beginning to race. This was bad... So bad.

'You get that Scott? This is bad' Ciara thought, trying not to panic.

'Yeah, I know.. Just stay frosty.' He replied. He'd sent Ciara on ahead as a scout. The rest were making their way.

Violet held tightly to Charles' hand. They had on basic combat uniforms, just in case.

Magneto decended to the platform and all the members stepped forward to type in their codes, "This is it then" the master of magnetism reveled in the moment, "The end of homosapiens."

"A whole new world" Luther agreed, typing in his code.

"NO!"

'CIARA STAND DOWN! Wait for... Fuck, move it people now!'

The members looked up as a grate shot down to the ground, Ciara landed on the floor and rushed toward Eric.

"Papa don't-" Before she knew it, Teekl had her pinned.

"Hmmm, Guess you were right Teekl..." Klarion said smiling wickedly.

"Papa, please. Don't do this. You don't know what you're doing!" She pledged.

Eric sighed, "I know exactly what I am doing Ciara" he replied, "The world has suffered under a plague of homosapiens for long enough. I tried it your way, I tried to let Scott and his team solve the problem but it's getting us nowhere" he stated angrily, "So now it's time to go back to plan A. Eliminate the enemy"

"Papa listen to me. The time I come from... everyone's working together. Humans are nearly gone. If you do this... if you..." She was shaking.

"Enough of this chit chat, let's us make history." Ra's al Ghul turned his key and all the others followed suit. If one hero had shown up, the others weren't far behind.

Scott blasted the door open, "Not on my watch. X-squad, attack!"

"We'll hold them off. The rest is up to you." Ra's al Ghul said to Eric as they advanced.

Eric shook his head at Ciara, "Take them away now or take them away later, the only thing it changes is how many people die in between." he typed in the code, turned the key and started up the device.

Initiating start up sequence. Firing in five minutes the computer resounded.

"ERIC!" Charles yelled, "You know this is wrong. The world needs to sort itself out"

"Take a look around you Charles" Eric snapped in response, levitating in front of the machine with metal flying around to protect it, "The world is falling apart at the seams. It needs someone to fix it."

"You're wrong. It changes everything!" 'Someone...' She thought, "HORATIO!" She yelled on the top of her lungs.She thought it with all her might but something was wrong... There was a pit in her stomach. As if she knew... he would not come.

Violet stood behind Charles and took a side step when she saw her. 'Magda...' She stood by Ciara, looking up at Eric. "Charles, get me to Ciara."


2 mins remaining till firing....

Scott blasted Black Manta into a wall. Kitty was fighting hand to hand combat with Lex. Emma was dancing a deadly battle with Queen Bee. Logan was fist to fist with Vandal Savage. Kurt was dodging laser beams from Brain...

Ciara pushed back against Teekl's paw. The tiger seemed to understand that she was in no state of mind to fight and wrapped it's jaws around her ponytail and let her sit up.

"Do you hate me Papa? Do you secretly hate me that much?"

Charles nodded, holding Violet's hand tightly, "alright, common" he started leading her through the war zone.

Eric gave Ciara questioning look, "What are you talking about Ciara?"

Ciara fanned her eyes, trying to keep it together. "Why do you think I've been trying to get you to see the good side in people? My...My mom was one of the last humans on earth.... If you do this... my whole family tree will change.. I won't exist... Your grandchildren wouldn't exist.... You're going to kill us."

Violet and Charles were almost to Ciara.

One min remaining till firing

Eric descended, his feet touching the ground as he stared at Ciara. He wasn't too sure how to respond to that.

"It's been affecting her for awhile dad" Pietro piped in, "We didn't know what was wrong until now. You're going to kill her, our children-your grandchildren!"

Magneto looked back to the machine when suddenly a dart was shot into his neck. With a gasp the master of magnetism dropped to his knees and all the flying metal clattered to the ground, "what?!" he yanked the dart out, looking puzzled for a moment.

"Nothing personal Mr. Lensurr" Luther comment, the plastic gun that had fired the dart was in his hand, "Can't afford for you to have second thoughts now"

"What did you do?!" Magneto yelled, raising his hand towards Luther. The metal floor beneath the bald man's feet creaked slightly but then fell silent and still.

"Nothing to worry about" Luther smirked, "you'll live, I just needed a little insurance on hand. You understand."
