"I've had a bit of experience" Eric nodded, "There was a time when I thought I was the only one like me. Once I realized otherwise, I wanted very much to find more mutants and to help them learn what I had to find out on my own."

She smiled at that. "It's nice when others help each other out. Miss McCoy gave you a rather high rated review though she did warn you could go on... rants I believe is what she called them."

"ahh... heh" Eric rubbed the back of his head, "As you can imagine, I have also been through a lot. My whole purpose of returning to North America was to see if humanity had changed. I am hoping to find my answer here."

"I see. I can only imagine what you had to go through during your life time as mutant rights are regarded. Miss McCoy did explain that as well. Our students are rather open minded and understanding so it shouldn't be a problem...

What do you think is your greatest strength and your greatest weakness?"

"Heh, my greatest weakness would have to be that I haven't had a job interview in over twenty or thirty years" Eric chuckled lightly, "My strength would be up to you to judge, am I doing well despite my weakness?"

Miss Ambrose couldn't keep a straight face anymore, "Oh, I can't keep this up. The job is yours but first I just have one little teeny tiny question you must answer for me... " She walked around the table, and pulled on the chain of his necklace, "Where did you get this? And who are you really?"

Eric froze, staring back at her like a deer caught in the headlights for a moment before carefully trying to remove the chain from her grasp, "... I am not a threat," he replied carefully, "Just an old man looking for something new"

"That I'm aware of. I trust Ciara's word in this matter. However, for the safety of my students I need to know such information about my teachers." She didn't let go of the chain. "This isn't the sort of item you find in a normal store. They're rare and hard to come by. So either you're well connected or someone I should be worried about."

"I received it from a friend of Ciara's" he replied truthfully, getting to his feet so that he was looking down at her instead of the other way around. He greatly disliked being lower than other people, "I believe he refers to himself as Doctor Strange, if that means anything to you."

"If that is true then you have nothing to fear from revealing your true form to me." She placed a hand on his chest. "If I am to trust you with my students, you first have to trust me... May I?" She asked.

"You aren't going to like what you see" He replied

Miss Ambrose recited the chant as if it was something she'd learned a long time ago. She looked up at the man's true form. She took his hand, "I see a man who was not given the best options in the past but is looking to change... What's so wrong in that?" She smiled lightly.

Eric raised a brow, looking rather skeptical about her reaction, "You would still allow me near your students? Even the human ones?"

"How can I expect you to learn and grow as a person if I don't give you the chance? Plus if you convinced Doctor Strange you're CLEARLY trying to change... Plus this explains a LOT. There's only two older gentlemen who I know who have worked with the X-squad and one of them past away..."

((I think I've spotted a lurker))

Eric looked at the amulet for a moment, then back at her, "and what if I decide that the world hasn't changed after all?" he questioned. Now that she knew who he was, he was curious to know her true thoughts.

((A lurker?))

Well... you stalked me for two whole days... I may have to go call the police on you." She joked, "But in all seriousness, I think it would make me rather sad. Because we've done the unthinkable here... Sure the kids fight from time to time but they laugh, learn, and cry together... As people." She walked over to the window, looking out at some kids playing in the court yard. " Not by the labels society has given them." She wrapped her arms around herself.

((Or not, thought I saw somebody checking out our thread))

"And what happens when they leave here?" Eric asked, "when they enter the big picture. Will the rest of the world accept them?"

"Well, we've already had one graduating class. Several of which are in rather high power positions. One of them is even on the... Teen Justice team? Or was it Teen Titians..."

"Heck if I know, I haven't left Genosha in years" Eric shrugged, "By the way, I don't believe you've ever told me your first name?"

"Oh. How silly of me. My name is Celeste Ambrose." She held her hand out, "A pleasure to meet the man behind the mask. Purple is one of my favourite colours."

"Eric Lenssur" he replied, shaking her hand, "My son designed the outfit."

"A pleasure to meet you." She put a finger to lips, "Your secret is safe with me. Though I would suggest covering up the amulet as some of the students here will acconize it" She said buttoning his shirt up one button.

"I wasn't counting on that" Eric admitted as he tucked the amulet away, "I didn't think it was a very popular thing"

"It isn't but students here are very well educated in their respected fields. I do teach some of the magic classes so I tend to go very in-depth on the subject."

"Fair enough" Eric agreed, "I'll keep it hidden then."

Later that week Eric started his teaching job. He was easing into it, Teaching a little history alongside the mutant powers thing. Trouble was, he tended to branch off on rants...
"Now, they said they were just trying to help but what they didn't say was that their version of 'helping' included experiments on kidnapped mutants-some of them not even older than you-just so they could figure out how to make super soldiers for their war!"
