"Oh, I'm sorry." She patted his head, "The school day is almost up anyways, how about we head by to my place and watch some movies and drink ginger ale?"

"I'd prefer a nice Riesling" Max replied

"Don't you know you should never mix achohal with potions?" She ruffled his hair. "I think I have some white grape juice."

">_< I am not a child! At least a beer, or.. or... something!"

"Hey." She took ahold of both sides of his face, "I know you're not a child but you're in a child's body. And you actually aren't suppose to mix booze with potions... It can lead to... unfortunate things happening." She wiggled her finger into his cheek, "So stop being such a grumpy cute child and lets got make some popcorn, ok?"

"... sorry" Max apologized, "It's just that anytime someone offers me food or beverage, it feels like they're intentionally picking the most childish item they can think of. Cupcakes, grape juice-oh we'll even put it in a wine glass so you can feel grown up" he mocked the voices, "I'd kill for one moment of adulthood -_-"

"Hey. It's white grape juice..." She crossed her arms defensively, "I only offered because I know you can't drink wine... It's the closet you can get >>"

"I know, I know" Max replied, "it's just that you aren't the first to offer." he smiled up at her, "I appreciate the thought Celeste. You are very kind to allow me to stay with you and I would love to watch a film with you. I only have on request... can it please be at least pg18?"

Miss Ambrose turned bright red, "I-I don't have those type of movies, Max. "

"Aww, no violence?" Max pouted, "pg13?"

"OH. Right. Violence..."She thought about it, "Would Lord of the Rings be alright?" She asked.

"I'm not familiar with that one" Max replied, "and what on earth else did you think I-" suddenly he blushed, "Surely you did not think I wanted to watch... with you... or ever... that's just...." he coughed awkwardly

"Well... that's what that rating means here... in Canada.... *ahem*" She got up, "Shall we go?"

"You people are crazy" Max rubbed the back of his head, "yes... lord of the rings... that would be lovely I'm sure..."

They picked up some of Eric's things at his place and headed over to Ambrose's. She had a spare bedroom. "I asked some of the girls to pick up some clothes for you since we don't know how long you'll be like this." She showed him to his room.

There was an arrangement of clothes. A couple pair of jeans, black pants, socks, underwear and some amusing shirts.



"Are they ok?" She asked. "I know they're not what you're use too but they don't make clothes like that ><"

Eric looked at the shirts and raised a brow, "I don't think I will ever understand the so-called fashion of putting phrases on shirts. Still, they will do. I would be more hesitant to see what my son would make up for me to be honest. I'm not certain if he would make something appropriate, or something like a little boy's sailor suit -_- he can never see me like this."

She chuckled, "I dunno... I think you've look rather handsome in a sailor suit." She teased, pulling the dvd off of the shelf. "I can't believe you haven't watched these those. Have you read the books?"

"I have not" he replied as they settled down to watch the movie.
They ended up watching all three and by the end of it Max was curled up, clinging to a pillow happily and passed out on the couch, with his head on Celeste's lap. It was adorable.

Celeste smiled sweetly down at him, running her hand through his hair. She pushed the power button on the remote.

"Mew."

"Shh. You'll wake him." She whispered, "I'll feed you after I put him to bed ok?" She scooped him up and once upstairs, slipped him into some batman themed Pjs.

Max curled up and snuggled into the blankets, resting soundly and dreaming of middle earth.

Celeste tucked him in and went downstairs to feed a little kitty his milk.

"Max. Max, wakie wakie little man."

"The hobbits are going to Isengard!" Max exclaimed as he jolted awake and looked around, "wha-um... morning" he blinked

"Apparently you enjoyed the movies last night... You feeling alright? Not dizzy anymore?"

"Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better" Max smiled, "and those movies were GREAT!" he hopped out of bed, "I'm not a child, I'm just a hobbit!" he stood proudly and laughed.

Miss Ambrose smiled warmly, "Alright little hobbit." She patted his head, "And you haven't even seen the exdened versions."
