A large carter appeared under the sphere.

"Try again?" She asked, determined to get the blasted sphere open.

Thor nodded, this time he actually sent the hammer flying into the air, then, once it had hit the stratosphere, he summoned it back to him.
The moment it touched his hand, he continued the momentum, slamming the hammer into the sphere with all his might.

When the smoke and dust cleared the orb remained through once Thor removed his hammer, there was a clear crack in the top of it but it was simply black in the crack.

"Thor step back." Had he just broken the first layer? What kind of magic was this? Ceres slowly moved her hands toward the crack and as if being sucked up by a vaccum, Ceres' hands and arms were sucked through. She stopped when her chest made contact with the orb with a clink. "Ah. Stay back!"

This was a barrier... a portal? Some kind of pocket universe perhaps? Ceres shouldn't be sure. All she knew was that it was a lot bigger on the inside.

"Ah there you are." Walked up the figure with horn like hair, he picked up the small cat who was unconscious inside the strange red and black world with the dark red checkered floor. The cat let out a faint meow. "Hmm?" He looked up toward the sky and spotted the hole in space with two soft rosy arms and a glowing pink jewel. "Oh how clever you are." He grinned floating up, "You've cracked my spell, how lovely you are..." He ran his finger along the side of the jewel. "We can't have you finding things out..."

"AHHHH!" Ceres began to wiggle wildly, she felt like she'd just touched cottons balls or powered chalk, A uncomfortable feeling none the less, "Something touched me! Something-" She stopped panicking as she felt... skin? no, hands and... Ceres' eyes widened as the orb began to turn red, "Thor! Pull me out. Pull me out now!"

Immediately Thor seized Ceres and pulled.

There was a bit of resistance at first but after a few seconds Thor was able to pull Ceres out. The orb grew red then imploded on itself, disappearing all together.

Ceres held the furry wonder close to her chest, tears bursting from her eyes. She had him, he was back. Polly raced over and almost forced Coco out of Ceres' hands.

"Just let me look at him!" She yelled, snapping Ceres out of her trance. "He's weak."
"Yeah. I need to mend the bond."
"What do you need?"
"Water. A lake or river or a tub."

"I think we flew over a river just a few miles that way" Coulson offered, pointing south.

Thor, without another word, grabbed Ceres along with her fluffy familiar and flew them over to the area. He landed in the shallow water, cradling the two beings in his arms.

Ceres didn't even think about hopping out of Thor's arms. She instructed Thor to lower her in the water just so that Coco was partly in the water on her chest.

Ceres went to work, her jewel glowing softly, fireflies of her pink energy floated around them. And one by one they floated into Coco's body. After a few moments, they could hear Coco purring softly.

Ceres opened her eyes when she felt a paw playing with a strand of her hair. "Hey there." She said softly, "You ok?"
"meow."
Ceres smiled lightly, "I know. I'm sleepy too." She flopped against Thor's chest, "Thank you."

Thor smiled and nodded to her. It was good to see her back to normal. So he brought them back to the others and tucked her into a bed.

Ceres and Coco slept for a couple of days. They had to wait for repairs on the plane as Thor's patch job was not up to standards. Oswald was up and moving withing 24 hours of them leaving the island and had been sweet talking every single male on the plane about marrying Ceres; even Iron Fist.

Juno had woken up and seemed back to her normal self. Whatever had happened to her seemed to have fixed itself once they fixed Horatio.

"I told you. I don't remember." She said, arms crossed leaning against one of the walls, "If I did, don't you think I'd be out there looking to kick whoever did this to me's ass?" She pointed out blankly.

Horatio was keeping to himself. He knew his sisters would want to talk to him, to ask questions or just spend time with their older brother but he wasn't exactly up for it. The more he remembered about being Hope, the more he felt lost as Horatio. It was confusing and for a blind guy, he managed to keep finding areas of the ship that no one else looked for.

He did, at least, speak with Rogue at one point alone. No one really knew what he said to her but she seemed okay with letting him live for now, in fact, she seemed pretty darn happy in general.

Polly gave Horatio his space. She'd often find him and just sit with him. Not saying anything just sit in silence. She'd usually bring him something to eat or drink. But she didn't call him Hope. She referred to him as Horatio. This was his new life, she didn't want to force a past he may not remember onto him.

Juno would often spot Horatio, and keep her distance. She had always been like that. She wasn't much for talking and for so long she'd thought he was died. She'd often find Horatio sitting by himself, so she stood around a corner or a little ways off from him but never approaching him.

Ceres came around when Fury came onto the ship, yelling about how Coleson had once again trashed the plane.
She flomped out of the bed and headed into the lab, Coco purring in her arms. She seemed a bit confused. "...This isn't the palace..." She mumbled looking around, she was still half asleep.

Fury paused in his rant as Ceres came into the room, "Ceres" he turned to face her, "How are you?"

She blinked, "Good... You're not gonna ask me to marry you while riding a hover motorcycle which clearly hasn't been invented yet are you?" She asked still rather out of it.

"As much as your grandfather insists upon it, no" Fury replied, "and I never have, for the record."

"Good." she got up on her tip toes and kissed his eye patch, "Finally we agree on something...Where do you keep the green tea in this place?" She asked looking around. "Coco. Stop playing with the holo images of a nuclear reactor."

Coco's ears when down, he's been playing with a holo wheel or cog, throwing it back and forth along the table screen.

"Thank you" Fitz sighed, "I was wondering where that went" she manipulated the piece back in place.

"Top left cupboard" Coulson told, "Would you mind making enough for both of us?"

"And after that," Fury added, "Would you mind getting Loki out here to chat?"

Ceres looked back, "Sure. How long was I out? I feel like I've been sleeping for days..." She made the tea, handed Coleson a cup and then sat down on the floor with her bum on her ankles. She sipped a few sips, "That's the good stuff... Now what did you want Director Fury?" She asked, having never actually respectfully called him by his full title.

Coulson nodded his thanks as he sipped the tea and Fury continued, "Loki is level one threat, if he's on Earth we need to be on top of it"

"The only threat, Director..." She got up and summoned her staff, "Is my staff up his ass for making a fool of me. Odin left him in my charge and I indent to make him wish he's been an honest god when he crossed paths with me. He's powerless.

First I'm gonna make him do a bunch of community service like volenteering and reading kids stories at the libiray on Saturdays. I'll stuff the humanity down his throat till he's bursting at the seams. BWA ha ha ha ha!" Several test tubes shattered at this moment.

"Ahem." She seemed to calm down, taking a deep breath, "I got a little carried away. Sorry about your test tubes... again."

Simmons sighed, "That's okay... We'll get more" To which Fury gave in irritated look at.

"If you don't mind" the director commented, "I'd rather oversee it myself."

"Fine. You can oversee me, overseeing him." She patted him on the chest, "Come on, Coco. Time to go drag out a god."

Ceres marched off the plane and into the city, up the marble stairs, down the lavaished hallways, she pushed open her doors to her room, "LOKI! I've come to-"

She paused in her vicotorious stance, noting the empty room, slowly as she looked around the room her shoulders began to slower and a pit began to grow in her stomach. "Loki?" She called out softly...

She ran out onto the balacony, "Loki? Loki. LOKI!" She called, after about 10 mins of ripping her room apart to fell to her knees. "He...he left... no note...no nothing." She noted her laptop and diary were missing.

"Why did he go.... Why..." She no longer felt filled with glorious purpose. She felt... sad.

Fury followed into the city, it wasn't very often that anyone got the chance to come in here. He gave a sigh when they realized Loki wasn't there anymore. He placed a hand on Ceres' shoulder, "He probably saw this coming as soon as you left" Fury told her, "His lies could never have held up once you talked to anyone."

"I...I trusted him... I did everything for him. I...I...told him I loved him." A tear rolled down her cheek, "I thought he could change..."

Fury knelt down to her level, tilting her chin up, "This is exactly why we need to find him now. Loki can't be trusted, he never could be. He will never change. In five thousand years since Thor and his friends last visited earth, we knew Loki was trouble and he still is now. There's nothing you can do to change that."

" I thought he was different, just needed someone to give him a chance... I don't know where he would have gone or how he would have left the city..." she thought a moment, "He might have gone to the spirit sanctuary. Though the only exit is back into the city."
