Miss Turner hurried off, embarrassed beyond belief. Which got Eric's mind working. Miss Turner was rather flat chested, not very curvy, she never had her hair short, even in previous school year photos. And he didn't know her first name... Everyone just called her Miss Turner.

Eric had see a lot in his years but the emergence of transgenders in society was still new to him. He didn't completely understand it but he had heard of it before.
Just great, this was something he would love to talk to Ceres about. What was he supposed to do now?

Miss Turner didn't return with the tea. And during his classes in the newly rebuilt wing of the school, Miss Turner sat at the back of the class instead of the front. Leaving baskets filled of goodies in front of his office each day.

It was about a week later, while Miss Turner was dropping off her basket of goodies that the door opened to his office. She froze.

"Thank you Professor, I'll revise my paper right away. Oh, excuse me." The girl said, almost bumping into MIss Turner.

"Very good" Eric nodded to her then noticed Miss turner, "Miss turner, how perfect. Would you mind coming in for a moment?"

Miss Turner nodded and for the first time since Eric had met her, seemed rather nervous. She picked up the basket and walked into his office, closing the door behind her.

She felt nervous sweat starting to form, "Yes?"

"Please, have a seat" he offered as he went to his own chair. "I was hoping to talking to you but you keep running off."

She sat down, hands in her lap, "Sorry. Been busy. Pre Christmas baking in the home mac room." She felt rather foolish to think she could get away with this for so long and no one notice and now Mr. Eisenhardt knew her secret. And she'd even expressed interest in visiting Genosha. That ship was surely sunk now.

"I'm sorry it took me so long, I've been wanting to talk with you about our last discussion" Eric placed his hands on the table. Miss Turner wasn't the only one who was anxious about this talk, "I'm afraid that I... um... I'm not exactly well inversed in this sort of thing..."

"...I don't understand." She blinked, that wasn't the reaction she was expecting.

Oh great, he was screwing this up already, "I... well you're... I've never-to my knowledge anyway, I mean, apparently it isn't exactly easy to tell but..."

"Wolf in sheep's clothing?"

Eric blinked, "Is that really a term used for someone like you?" he paused, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly, "I'm sorry, I don't really know how to deal with this. Charles said I should speak with you but I haven't an idea of what to say exactly."

"That's how some people refer to it as, like my parents. I... I am a woman. I was just... born in the wrong body... Like I was made wrong." She tried to explain.

He tilted his head a little to the side, not really understanding it fully, "I... ookay..." he shook his head, "I'm trying to level with you here. I have no idea how to deal with this but as far as I can see it isn't as though knowing more about you changes who you are... right? It's like someone being gay or something?" he guessed

She scratched her cheek, "I guess so. Basically a Transgender person is someone who identifies themselves as the sex that they weren't born as. In my case, physically I am considered a boy but inside I feel like a woman..." She said trying to explain. But just because you're transgender doesn't mean you're gay. You can be transgender and be heterosexual or pan-sexual, etc. Does that make sense?"

"... okay..." he nodded slowly, "so... wait, what?" he tilted his head to the side again, "no, I don't think I do understand."

She sighed, "Alright. Forget Sexuality for now. When you were little and people called you boy. You knew that that is what you were. A boy. Male. It was something that just clicked for you. Something that you knew was right. No need to question it. When I was little, people use to call me a boy and it felt weird, wrong even.

And for the longest time I didn't know what was wrong with me. I had all the parts that make up a boy but I felt like I was in a costume. That this wasn't me. Then I tried on a dress from the school drama club and my friend said 'Why don't you look like a lovely girl' and... and it felt right. For the first time, it clicked for me. I felt... normal."

Eric blinked again, this was a little over his head but it... sort of made sense to him. "so... okay. But you are a boy?" he asked uncertainly.

"...Only Physically. But I would prefer if you still referred to me in female terms. You could say I'm a mutant human." She said trying to break the ice.

That did it for him, finally he sighed in relief, "Okay. So it's something like having an x-gene?"

She nodded, "Basically I'm not a normal human being...I must say, I'm rather surprised in your reaction to this."

"Okay" Eric nodded, leaning back in his seat. That settled it for him then. She was like a mutant, another step in the evolution of homosapiens. Perhaps not quite like homo-superior but it wasn't unheard of for one race to evolve in two separate directions.
"What do you mean, my reaction?" he asked

"Well, you're from a different generation. I was expecting you to... I dunno. Be disgusted or something."

"I was around for the rise of mutants" he chuckled, "And spent many years in Genosha. I have met far stranger than you. The difference being, of course, that since you are not a mutant I suppose I was expecting something more traditional from you."

Miss Turner nodded her head, thinking it over in her head, "I can see where you're coming from... My name is Ashton by the way. Funny, how my parents gave me a unisex name." She ploped the basket on his desk, "More baking for you."
