A lovely lawn set; table, chairs, lanterns etc. Had been set up in the middle of Eric's garden. Several of Eric's favorite chefs were catering the meal. Ceres walked into the garden wearing a white dress with black flower deco on it. "Eric this is amazing!" She complimented.

"What can I say?" Eric greeted her, "I'm good at making things happen"

She kissed him on the cheek. "Oh, that reminds me. "She pulled a small bag of sunflower seeds from her bag and handed it to him. "Flower Gnomes LOVE sunflower seeds. If you feed a flower gnome and it eats all you leave out, it's said to bring you good luck."

"Thank you, I'll keep that in mind" he smiled and offered her a seat.

"Not starting without us, are you?" Charles called as he and Violet approached.

"I wouldn't think of it" Eric turned to his old friend and they exchanged a hug of greeting.

"Hi, you must be Violet. Charles has mentioned you a couple times. I'm glad we could finally meet." Ceres said putting out her hand in greeting. "I love your dress. Very retro."
Violet smiled, shaking her hand, "Aw thank you. Yours is very nice too... Is that your natural hair colour?"
"Why yes."
"It's like a cotton candy cloud."
Ceres and Violet smiled.

Charles turned to Ceres after Eric and offered her his hand, "It's good to see you again" he smiled at her.

Ceres made the most adoreable pouty face and then punched him in the arm. "You big meanie." Then she gave him a hug. "It's good to see you too."

Violet simply chuckled. "The truth's a bitch huh."
"Agreed."

Charles shrugged, "I'm not even surprised when people walk up and slap me in the face anymore -_-"

Ceres gave him a warm hug, "It was a very stupidly brave thing to do. I just hope you're going to invest in some fake hair when yours falls out."

"We're looking into hair transparents." Violet teased.

"I'll have you know I had many compliments on how dashing I looked bald" Charles defended himself.

Eric smirked, "I'm not going to tell you how many of those people I paid"

Ceres waved her hands in front of herself, "Nononono. I didn't mean you were ugly. I meant that people would regonize you and that may cause problems for you and those around you."

"Yes, I get what you mean" charles sighed a little, "still... it seems so odd to fight the natural process. At any rate, that shouldn't be for quite some time, perhaps things will have blown over a bit by then?" even he knew to skeptical about that though.

"I'm sure by the time you start going bald again, Charles, Pietro and Forge will have come up with a miraculous cure for baldness" Eric chuckled, "Pietro's been worried that he might've inherited the gene from his mother's side, rather than having my luck." he gestured then to the food, "at any rate, we should eat before all this goes to waste!"

"Wow. What a spread." Violet complimented.

They all stay down and began to eat.

"So Eric tells me you're the gardener here. I must say you have a wonderful green thumb." Ceres said.
"Well, Part-time Gardener, I also babysit the Ciara and Pietro's triplets."
"And how's that been working out for you?"
"Challenging. But how could 3 adorable little mutant babies not be?" She smiled warmly.

"You know, sometimes the way they look at you is a little surreal" Eric commented, "it's like they know more than they're letting on."

"Perhaps it is because they do" Charles commented, "they just haven't figured out how to express it in words yet"

"Oh? Have you been reading little baby minds again?" Violet asked, poking Charles's shoulder.

"Only when they're crying and I can't figure out why" Charles defended, "I don't remember babies being this difficult to take care of."

"Cheater." She teased tapping his nose. "MMmmm! This is so good. I must get the recipe."

"You'll have to ask Alonzo" Eric gestured to the chef, "I was never a very good cook myself"

"You're telling me" Charles commented, "Remember when you tried to make eggs and toast for breakfast?"

"Please don't" Eric face palmed.

"Somehow you managed to even make the toast burnt on the outside and, almost liquid on the inside. And don't get me started on the eggs" charles laughed, "still, the notion was appreciated"

They laughed and chatted as the meal went on.

Afterward they all sat on lawn furniture drinking wine.

"So Violet, what is your mutant ability? Eric wasn't able to tell me."

"Oh. I can communicate with the death."

Ceres blinked, "...What?"

"Anyone who's passed on" Charles clarified, "as long as, well you know, they're in the area. We've been working on getting her some more control over it but..." he smiled at Violet, "well it just takes time. And it seems it can only really happen if the person who's passed on is willing for it"

Ceres seemed very interested in her power. "So do you like... See dead people?" Ceres asked.

"Sometimes. If I focus I can see all that are in the area and then if I want them too they can take over my body for a period of time."

"Like you're possessed. Interesting. " Something didn't seem right to Ceres. "I can't believe Eric wouldn't remember such an interesting and unique ability."

Violet looked down, "Yes well. Magneto's a very busy man and I was only his gardener at first." Violet had been trying very hard to be polite. Though techincly Ciara and Pietro were her bosses now. Still, he was a very powerful and important person. And so young now. "I forgot to say before, but you look rather fetching, Mr. Magneto in your youthful state. I can tell you aged rather well."

"Please, call me Eric" he offered a smile, though it was slightly forced. In truth he had never asked what her power was, he only knew she was a mutant and at the time that was good enough for him. He had no idea her ability was so...

"He's not that busy" Charles commented, noting the look in Eric's eyes though he was probably the only one who caught it because he'd known the man so long. "and not that important anymore either" he chuckled, "I mean seriously? You started Genosha and now what?"

"Now I'm a teacher" Eric gave him a look.

"In Canada" Charles nodded, "Yep. So busy. You're barely on Genosha anymore."

"You work there to" Eric stated

"And I still come back to visit more than you-aannndd I can't fly around in a giant metal bubble"

"No, you just get someone to teleport you <_<"

"Now now you two, don't fight." Violet said. "It's alright Charles. Please don't make a fuss."

"So Violet... When you focus and see a bunch of the dead, what's it like?"

Violet put down her glass, "Well, the world looks a bit different. Like the buildings and everything are faded. The people have a glow about them... A shimmer even. I had no idea I was talking to the dead before Charles came around. I must have looked a little crazy to some people. I've got a better hold on it now then before. It still turns on without me realizing it. I started wearing a blue tooth just so people think I'm actually talking on the phone instead of being a looney. I could show you, if you like."

"Really?"
"Yeah. I mean, if you're alright with Charles channeling my vision into yours."
"Can you do more than one of us?"
"I don't see why not. I mean, if we all hold hands and my good looking man thinks he'd like to show off his powers a bit."
"Can we?" Ceres looked at Eric with big eyes. Like a child asking to ride the merry-go-round.

"I certainly wouldn't mind" Eric commented.

"Alright" Charles smiled, "though projecting the image is the easy part, we don't all have to hold hands" he added, offering his hand to Violet, "I just need yours."
