"Sure" Logan agreed with a shrug, "Step one, get some water from the bay"
And so he went through her old chores with her, coaching Ciara to keep using her powers for everybody.

It was around the third run for water that Ciara got the hang of being able to concentrate on keeping the water in the air without dropping it.

Ciara was humming some classical piece when she noticed they were both walking in time with one another and their arms were doing the same. She stared at his lonely hand and decided it looked too lonely to ignore. So she looked forward and slipped her hand into his, a small smile on her face. " Wolife, you're fun to be around."

Wolfie looked at her with a raised brow, "you haven't called me that since you were a pup."

"I haven't? Hmmm... Well I like Wolfie better than Loggy or Log... Or do you not like that name? I could call you something else I guess... I mean, I could call you.... ummm... well...." She stopped walking as she tried to come up with another name, "Wolver....Wolfie, do you think we can stay like this? Just you and me?" She asked, her eyes focused on his.

Logan looked back at her, becoming rather silent for a moment before he continued walking, pulling on her hand to urge her to do so as well, "Call me whatever you want Drip." he replied quietly, "And when you call, I'll be there. Every time."

"Ok." She said softly, a small smile on her face.

The rest of the chores went rather well, Ciara seemed to be able to focus on the task at hand but was still mumbling random nonsense.

Ciara finished filling the water filter station by Ivy's garden and fell down on her bottom, rather tuckered out. "I'm pooped." It had taken a lot of energy to try and stay focused the whole time. "Are you tuckered out too Wolfie?" She asked looking up at him.

Logan shrugged, "I don't tire easily" he replied, though he sat down next to her all the same, his eyes straying around to look over the area, "Gotham's changed a lot since I was last here. Don't suppose the earthquake helped, but you can still see a few of the old layers."

She moved closer to him and rested her head against his arm, "What was it like? When you were here? Was it all black and white?" She asked curiously.

Logan chuckled, "with crime, yeah, you could say that. Either you were a criminal or a good guy, there was no in between." he thought back, taking a moment to try and recall it all, "Some of my memories are still a bit fuzzy, but Gotham was always one of those places that sticks out. Sometime before the first world war I came through here for a few days. Gotham was something then, a party on every corner and it didn't matter how rich or poor you were, everybody joined in." he closed his eyes, "It smelled like cigars, booze, sweat, perfumes-red rose, lilac in the city, evardance" he let out a relaxed sigh as he named a few of the perfumes he remembered.
"If those government pigs had seen what Gotham was like then, they'd never have abandoned it now. Everyone wanted a piece of the wonder that Gotham had, it's promise for a beautiful future. No one could ever have guessed how badly things could turn. It's easy to think things like that would last forever."

"Sounds dreamy," She commented, envisioning the scene Logan described. " Memories come and go, Wolfie. It's only human... Great cities always fall but..." She started piling a couple stones on top of each other, "But with each fall comes a bigger and better place for everyone to live in." She smiled, her pile of rocks falling over due to poor construction.

"Heh" Logan chuckled dryly, "tell that to Gotham. It's still falling to pieces. I thought when the families started moving in that things had gotten bad, then they brought more than just their mafia rules and booze, they brought drugs and the crime went out of control." he shook his head, "now it's full of psychos who just want to see the place burn. Gotham's gone to hell and I don't think anybody can fix it. No matter how hard Batman can try, he's going to fail."

Ciara pouted, "Don't say that. Not every place is perfect. You protect your home; not matter how crazy it becomes. " She looked behind her and noticed a patch of flowers not doing so well. It just happened to be the same patch from when she first arrived by Miss Ivy's garden. "Things always get worst before they get better..."

She got up and took some what from the filter and began watering them. She knelt down and started to pat the dirt down underneath the flowers, "What did I tell you fellows about being all sad? Just because you're near the outside doesn't mean you're not as special, "She said gently, patting a closed bud.

Logan watched her a moment before rolling his eyes, "and now I've lost her to the flowers..."

The flower bud slowly began to bloom, "There are you... Look how pretty you are." Ciara spent several more mins chatting with the flowers, a couple of vines wandering over and tickling her sides to say hello.

"Tee hee hee hee. Now now, I know you missed me but hehehehehehe." She had tears starting to form, "That's not w-way to greet an old friend...friend! " She stood up, "Oh my goodness, I'm sorry Wolfie. I seem to have wandered off." She called from across the field. "It's time for me to go. It'd be rude to leave Wolfie all by himself." She patted the vines before hurrying back over to Logan, running around like an airplane as she went.

Logan chilled at the side of the park, leaning against a tree as he watched out for her to make sure she didn't get into anything bad. As she came running towards him he smiled and picked her up once she was within reach, spinning the water mutant around in circles. It was like she was a child again, he realized, she just needed someone to watch out for her and play with.

((What better way to escape the problems of the adult world? Become crazy and be childish :P))

She giggled and laughed and laughed, something Gotham had really taken from her. Sure a laugh here or there but not the stress relieving kind.

They continued to play about the field, part of which use to be a road now covered in greenery. They spun in circles holding hands, cart-wheels, and lots of play wrestling, most which started with Ciara latching onto Logan's back and declaring she was the mightiest tea pot, there ever was.

"No, it's a laser Unicorn. See?" She said pointing at the cloud above them as they lay in the grass.

Logan tilted his head to the side as he watched the cloud pass by, "Hmm... I guess I can see that-but you're sure it isn't a German Panzer VIII Maus with antlers?"

She tilted her head to the side, " Perhaps, but now it looks more like a phoniex in a tutu,surfin g a cotton candy randow wave. " Just then, her bracelet started to buzz. They had given to her as a way to keep track of where she was, incase Logan lost sight of her, it also worked as a two way radio.

She held it up to her face," Yes oh great genie of my bracelet?" She asked, cuddling up to Logan more.

"Hmm.. oh yeah, I actually see that" Logan nodded in approval as he held her close.

"The great genie commands a return to base" Oracle replied mystically, then added, "seriously, ciara, Logan, come back to the Police Department, there's something going on, a helicopter was spotted doing a fly over"

"Aye Aye, Oh great one!" She said sitting up and saluting. "Come on Wolfie, we must discover why a dragon has appeared!" She scrambled to her feet and took hold of his arms and attempted to lift him which she was finding very hard.

"Oh noes! You've been welded to the ground. Must.Pull....harder."

Logan chuckled, letting her try at it for a little before he got to his feet, "Alright alright, I'm un-stuck, lets go."

Ciara giggled. "Race you! Race you!" She yelled racing off toward the Police station at full speed.

"uhg" Logan grunted and took off after her, "y'know without this metal, I bet I'd be the fastest person in the world"

Ciara giggled along, "But then you wouldn't be so magnetic!" She called. Racing toward the police station she could hear the helicopter over head.

"Made it!" She cheered jumping up and down.

Many people were staring at the sky, watching as the helicopter made rounds and passed on by, everyone had questions: who was it? What did they want? Was this finally the end of their damnation?

Robin grabbed Logan and pulled him off into the station, "they have cameras up there, probably best that they don't know you're here"
