Pallas ran her hands up his chest and held his face, forcing more of her cooling magic into him, "You told me about it remember? I want to see it with my own eyes. Please, Loki?" She asked, looking him deep into his eyes.

"I hid it" he was looking rather faint all the same, "deep... deep.... and away..."

"Now!" Pallas moved out of the way for the doctor to get to him.

"Is he going to be alright?" Ceres asked curiously.

Instantly the doctor moved in and injected the dose but nothing happened. She checked for his pulse and apparently didn't like what she felt. It took several minutes before the god was breathing normally again.
"If you actually want to keep him alive, I suggest not making my job quite so difficult" She commented irritably as Loki now began to sleep it off. "He'll be out for a few hours"

"Then we'll be back" Coleson nodded

"Sorry." Polly apologized, "I'll remember that."

Ceres had sat down and refusing to move, "But I want to stay. I'll be good."

"I don't think that's a very good idea" Coleson told Ceres,

She pouted, "No." She hugged the glass wall.
Polly turned her clothes back to normal and knelt down, "Loki needs his sleep now. We can come back later alright?"
"...Promise?"Ceres asked.
"Pinky Promise." Polly said and they both crossed pinkies. Ceres took Juno's hand and the two of them walked ahead of Polly and Phil. "...Seems the bond is still effecting her a bit. Whether she realized what it is or not... I'm... I'm sorry you had to see that." She said referring to her techniques. "I just want to have a shower."

Coleson wrapped an arm around Polly as they walked, "Oh the things I let you get away with" he joked, "There's a reason you're one of the best" he kissed her cheek, "because you have such an understanding husband. Not to mention it's a damned good thing he was tied down and the scheming bastard couldn't reciprocate."

A smile cracked onto her face. "<3" She kissed his cheek, "I think someone has earned themselves a full body massage," She purred, wrapping her inner arm around him.

"oooo, me! Pick me!" he grinned.

Over the next week or so they would go down to visit Loki and he would hallucinate them into various people and situations. The only thing that seemed to be consistent was their gender roles, so Coleson even decidedly brought Grant in to see if a male would do any better. In fact, it seemed only to do worse. Even in this compromised state of mind, the tricky god was a vault of secrets, there didn't seem to be anyone he valued enough to tell.

The consulted an expert in Norse mythology, obviously not giving them any details on the situation but merely to find out who half these people were. Sif was a friend of Thor's and since Loki tended only to tag along with his older brother, his only friends seemed to be through Thor. Yet because of that, he never really trusted them either. The others he mentioned were cousins, half siblings and the lot. The only one he hadn't brought up yet was Frigga, his adopted mother. He'd even chewed out Fury on his one visit, evidently the eye patch made him think the director was Odin. That had been entertaining.

But today, something was different. Loki took one look at Polly then turned away. "Come to bring more books?"

"Why would you say that?" Pallas asked coming in and sitting down on the side of the table.

"Because that, dear mother, that is all that you do" Loki rolled his eyes, "which is more than I can say for Odin or Thor. Tell me, how exhausting it must be to have them asking about me day in and out. Is it simply too hard for them to see me in prison themselves?"

"Perhaps it is too hard for them to see you like this." Pallas said softly, tucking a loose strand of hair behind his ear. "Give them time."

He let out a dry laugh, "did you not see their faces? I don't think I've ever seen Odin more disappointed in me. Do you think he'll have my head this time? Or are you still fighting for me?" he turned his head to look at her, "why haven't you given up on me yet?"

"No matter what nonsense or trouble you get yourself into, you're still my son, Loki. And I'll never stop loving you." She smiled warmly, cupping the side of his head.

He pulled his head away from her hand, "but I'm not your son."

"Not in blood but in here." She placed a hand on his chest and the other hand on her own, "In here, you are. And that's what counts Loki."

"Does it? Because Odin seems to think differently" Loki replied spitefully, "Thor as well. In fact, there doesn't seem to be a single person aside from you who seems to think so."

"Odin can be stubborn...We never told Thor. We wanted him to treat you the way a brother should, not look at you differently... It will take some time for him to adjust. You can throw all the logic you want at this Loki but I will still love you." She said kissing his forehead.

Loki fell silent, he looked tired but he didn't need another dose for a little while yet.

Pallas brushed her hand through his hair, "You feel alright? You look tired."

"I..." he hesitated, "I am... I don't know why, but it feels like... something's wearing me out..." he rested his head back and closed his eyes.

"Perhaps too much thinking." She suggested lightly, also teasing a bit. "Is there anything you'd like me to bring with me next time? Something you'd like to read?" She asked, continuing to play with his hair.

"I know all of these stories" he replied, shaking his head.

"Is there something not in our library you'd like me to get you?" She asked. "Thor has brought several books from Midgard. Perhaps one of them?"
