Pallas didn't say anything, she kept reading.

After several long minutes, Loki broke the silence, "You know I never asked for you help." he commented, "in fact I recall at one point requesting that you stop"

Pallas licked her finger and flipped the page. Pallas had honored his request. It had in fact been Ceres who stabbed him with the drug to keep him alive. She, however, snapped her fingers and a strangle on the glass window appeared, showing the scene where Ceres stabbed him to keep him alive. Apparently the glass also worked as a tv... or was that her magic?

"You didn't stop her" he pointed out, "but you are stopping her from giving me my magic back. Now why is that?"

Pallas kept reading from her book and she snapped her fingers again.


"Please, let me speak to him. Let me reason with him. Help him-" Thor's voice could be heard.
"Why haven't we simply killed him?" Several voices could be heard. Apparently it was audio from some kind of meeting.
"Put an end to his terror."
"Have we thought of transfering him to... The program? Reform him into a mindless happy person"
There was a grave silence.

"I won't allow it. You will not touch a hair on his head." Thor's voice boomed.
"That's not your call Thor. "
"No. You can't." Ceres' voice could be heard.
"Pallas, I thought you said you would keep your sister under control?"
"Sorry sir. Ceres, please." Pallas hushed.
"Pallas please. Don't let them. Please."
"Why do you still defend him, Thor?"
"...Because I can not imgaine a life without him. He is my brother. He just needs to be lead down the right path..."
"Gentlemen." Pallas' voice rang, "May I propose this... We let Loki choose. Let him decide his own fate. Let him choose to reform...."

"You've got 3 months, Polly. 3 months..."

Loki raised a brow at that. A mindless happy person? That didn't sound too pleasant at all. "So that's it?" he leaned back, "reform or die?" he looked to the side, "... tough choice." in truth he had been contemplating the latter for awhile. What exactly did he have to strive towards? He had all but given up on the battle with Odin after their last encounter. For some reason he didn't feel incredibly inclined to taking things over. The only thing he actually knew that he wanted was his magic, to feel whole again. Perhaps losing it in the first place had put things into perspective?
"And what would I do with my life then?" he asked in earnest, staring into the dark space beyond the glass room. "What does a fallen prince with no one to hate, do? I'm not sure I remember anymore."

"Find new purpose." Pallas said, closing the book. "By letting those who care for you help you..." She didn't look at Loki, she too stared off into space. She finally spoke, because he finally seemed willing to be reasonable.

A little grin came to Loki's face, "I knew I could get you to talk." he commented, "But what would you have me do then? Kiss babies and save puppies? Mother always said I could run my own circus, how about that?" clearly he was not being serious.

As soon as he mentioned kissing babies and saving puppies, she picked the book back up and started to open it again.

Loki rolled his eyes, "If you can't take a little joke, then we aren't going to get anywhere. Look up my file dear, it's what I do. You know, aside from all the killing. Everyone knows you can count on Loki for a laugh."

"Just making sure we're both on the same page, dear." She said closing the book again.

"Oh, is that what you want then?" Loki inquired, "Then allow me to assure that we are. I'm not doing anything until I get my magic back. You want me to even think about cooperating with whatever ludicrous rehabilitation process you have, then you will give it back because I can assure you that I really would rather die otherwise. Or perhaps you didn't notice to what lengths I went to in order to get it out of Odin's hands?"

She got up and walked over to the glass, "I will give it back, if you make a magic promise."

Loki laughed at that, "Excuse me? And what exactly am I promising?"

"Oh, you have not heard of a magically bound promise? I suppose it's not common knowledge." Polly walked around to the door and opened it. "I will give you back your magic and do everything I can to help you find new purpose on Midguard, but in doing so you must reform. Give up the thoughts of world domination and causing chaos; mischief is acceptable of course for it is in your nature but... Should you ever turn to bring war or the like onto Midgurd again, your magic will return to its amulet form and back to me." Pallas ran her hand along her right arm which began to glow with strange writting. "Do we have a deal?"

Loki eyed her, watching her arm for a moment. A spell that would bind him to this promise? "And risk having it ripped from me again because we might disagree on the difference between mischief and chaos?" he questioned, clearly not fond of the idea, "Tell me, have you ever lost your magic? Do you have any idea what it feels like to be stolen from your soul?"

"...Yes, the moment you stabbed Agent Coleson; The man who my soul is entwined to.... And the moment I also miscarriage my first child." She said sharply.

"Then you are the wrong person to be making this deal with" Loki replied simply, "Do know that it wasn't personal for me, though clearly this is for you. I won't make that deal with you" he stated stubbornly, though he wasn't a fool, he was well aware it was probably the only deal he would get. "I'll only make it with Ceres. She decides when I'm out of line, she would get my magic and she makes the deal."

"Then I guess-" Pallas started to turn and walk away.
There was a puff and little green balls of light floated down as Juno appeared in the room, "Ceres' isn't able in her current state." Pallas slightly jumped and cursed under her breath. she hated it when Juno did that. "Make the bond with me and Ceres will have the final say if you've crossed the line."

Loki looked interested now, "who are you?" he liked her outfit, very green, "Another sister? Don't tell me I've killed someone you care about as well."

"Mmmmm... Nope." She tapped him on the nose before appearing on his other side.

"...This would be our family's mischief maker." Pallas said sighing. "I suppose she would be able to 'tell' what is mischief and what is not."

Loki smiled, finding himself relaxing a bit around Juno, "And why haven't I met you sooner? You're far less boring this one" he gestured to Polly, "so serious. Does she ever smile?"

"Juno's the one who smuggled that book into your cell..."

"When she's not on Shield business, Which, she technically shouldn't be." Juno explained poking Polly's stomach.

Polly blushed and wrapped her arms around her stomach, "Juno, focus here."

"Evidently Coleson shouldn't be on duty either" Loki commented, "someone might accidentally kill him and then you'd lose another child."

Polly had been keeping her cool but that comment had sent her over the edge. She lunged forward, tackling Loki to the floor, a hand on his neck and the other one punching him in the face.
"YOU TOOK MY SON! HE DIED BECAUSE OF YOU!" It was the first time Loki had probably seen any real emotion from Polly. She was fighting the tears back. She was trying to be professional, to keep her personal feeling out of this but that was a line Loki should NEVER have crossed. Juno grabbed ahold of Polly and pulled her off of Loki. "Let me go. I'll kill you for that." Losing her first child had been traumatizing.... To wake up in the hospital after slipping into a coma to find that you no longer had a round and growing womb... "YOu have NO IDEA. NO IDEA!"

Juno pulled Polly further away from Loki. She was looking for blood. "Your mother would be ashamed!" She yelled before Juno teleported Polly away, back to Coleson who was the only person who could calm her at this point.
