"Then why are they here?" He questioned, going through them others. Every self help book seemed to tell him a story about how he used To be and while he could make some sense of the others he found himself confused on the one about being adopted. Thor hadn't mentioned any thing of the like so what was it doing there?

" Well Polly wanted you to read these. Start yoy down the right path. I never really loojed at them when I dropped them off...Maybe Thor was trying to tell you about important info one at a time..." Juno looked at the adopted book. " I would ask Thor when he comes down about this. Cause i dont have an answer... Do you want me to go get him?"

Loki continued to stare at the book, as though it might come to life and stab him, "Yes." he replied, "I think I need to speak to my br... to Thor."

Juno nodded, getting up and going to the door. She paused at the door and slightly turned, "Loki, I know this is hard on you but just think, Thor has already experienced all this before. Perhaps he didn't tell you everything right away because he's afriad he'll lose you again.. You may not brothers in blood but you are brothers in arms...Food for thought." And with that she closed the door and poofed away.

Loki sat down on the bed with each of the self-help books around him. He started to skim through them, hoping more for some insight to the things he was missing rather than any help they might provide.

It was only a little while later when Thor and Ceres made their way to visit.

Ceres was carrying a small tray with a green smoothie on it, all proper like a waiter as she couldn't use one of her arms. It was her sorry present for yelling at him yesterday.



"Good Morning." Ceres said, trying to sound cheerful. Though she was still feeling bad about the harsh words she'd used.

Loki hadn't really been expecting her to come as well, "Oh... hello." he greeted, looking up from the books, he got to his feet. He had discarded his jacket and now only wore a fairly simple green shirt with common dark pants. It was a little odd seeing him so dressed down but he didn't have much of a wardrobe here and to be honest he didn't exactly feel like himself anyway.
Loki stood in front of the two of them a little awkwardly at first. Thor had explained that this strange woman, this goddess, was a close friend but he wasn't entirely sure how to treat her. If she really was a goddess of old then he should address her properly, yet if they were really that close, then he should treat her as an equal.

"Brother, This is Ceres" Thor broke the silence to introduce her, "as I told you before, you are friends. She brought you a drink" he smiled.

"Yes" Loki nodded, still eyeing her a bit uncertainly, "... thank you."

Ceres stepped forward, "Um... Sorry about yesterday. I kinda freaked out and-" Ceres tripped over her own feet and flew forward, the freshly made Smoothie going everywhere.

Ceres looked up in horror from the floor. First she yelled at him and now she poured smoothie all over him.

Loki as least still had his reflexes and snapped his fingers, the smoothy bits froze in mid air while he grabbed Ceres in his arms to keep her from falling. This of course, brought them rather close together.

Thor cleared his throat after a moment and Loki gently nudged Ceres aside while collecting the drink back into it's cup and setting it on the table.

Ceres blushed a little, embarrassed, "Sorry. Bit clumsy. I made you a green tea smoothie. "

"... Thank you" Loki replied.

"Was there something you wanted to talk about brother?" Thor asked.

"I-yes-um, this" Loki grabbed the book of the bed, "and do not call me brother again without explanation" he demanded.

Thor read the title, "Oh... I forgot those were here" he rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.

"Are you telling me that I am grieving a woman who was not even my own mother?" Loki questioned.

Ceres was about to say something but then stopped, "...Should I leave?" She asked, not sure if she should be present for this.

"No-No" Loki turned to her, "because I have too many questions and Valhalla be damned if you people leave me in here alone again." Since he'd woken up his world had been an emotional roller coaster and it was actually starting to get to him.

"Brother-Loki" Thor placed a hand on his shoulder, "I apologize, I know there is much that you do not yet understand but I think it best if you pace yourself. Much has happened since the day you remember."

"Enough to make me a raging murderer apparently" Loki retorted, pulling away from him. He looked at Ceres again, "You. You only knew me after all these things happened. Your mind is not clouded by the time before. Tell me who I am."

"O-ok. I'm not going anywhere." she sat down almost as if ordered and put her hands in her lap.

When asked who he was she thought about the question and how to answer it properly,"Well, you're you. You've been hurt badly; emotional scars that ran deep inside you. Because of those scars, you shut everyone out and lashed out the only way you knew how. You raged war against those who had taken you in... Called you their family. You hurt many people including those who were close to you.

You became cold, cunning, sly, slick and ever so clever. You had a plan for everything. You would wit your way out of a paper bag. You even tricked me into talking to your father for you. But even though all that happened, all you had done, I still believed in you." She smiled lightly.

"You've walked so long in the shadows, overwhelmed by grief and misery... All I wanted to do was bring you back into the light... The light you deserved... And this last year, your wounds had slowly healed... Before you wouldn't even give Thor the time of day but you were actually having conversations with him again.... You were smiling, which always turned into a grin if anyone every looked.

You were picking up the pieces of your heart and letting your new family and friends help you... I'll tell you who you are Loki... You're a Prince, my friend and brother of Thor. And though you do not remember all this, those facts will not change."

Loki blinked, he wasn't sure exactly what he had been expecting her to say but it certainly was not all that. "Light and dark are relative my dear" the azgardian replied to her, "and evidently I am no prince-in fact I am no longer any of these things you speak of. What I am, is sick of these glass walls."

Ceres couldn't help but giggle at his statement. "Oh, sorry. I think Agent Coleson is having a therapist come in and talk to you and after they deem you ok, we should be able to take you out of this showcase. I think the only reason you're in here is because you broke the unbreakable vow... But I think I should why you broke it..." She smiled warmly, "You knew it was the only way to save us." Her eyes got a little teary, "You knew by breaking it, Juno would be able to tell where we were. I'm so sorry Loki." She looked down, "I had no idea this would happen. You're suffering because I could be s-strong. I was in trouble and you... I'm sorry."

Loki looked confused again, he hadn't exactly been told about the unbreakable vow just yet. "... wait, I did what now?"

Ceres forced herself to stop crying, 'R-right... Context... Umm..." She looked up and blinked several times trying to not cry. "Well... Thor where exactly did you leave off?"

So between Thor and Ceres they filled Loki in on quite a bit more of what had happened, particularly the stuff that Ceres was more around for. By the end of it Loki looked a little overwhelmed as he sat in a chair and ran a hand through is hair. "That... I'm still not sure you aren't trying to trick me." he admitted but he hadn't been able to find any of Thor's usual tells or explain why Ceres knew the things she did about him.

By the end of it Ceres looked a bit tired and that statement made her grumpy pouty faced, "...I won't trick you... Not unless it was April First and it's June. So are you gonna drink the awesome smoothie or not?" She'd spent a good while searching the base for all those ingredients.

"How am I supposed to know what month it is?" Loki pointed out with a slight grin as he picked up the smoothie and tasted it, "Hmm... Alright" he sighed, "clearly no one capable of making something so delightful could be harboring me ill will. Still... Did I really sacrifice my magic for you?" he couldn't imagine ever, ever freely giving up his magic for anything, or anyone.

She nodded, "It's the only thing that makes sense. I barely managed to pull you onto Moon and out of there. I blew up my arm sending that witch boy back to his chaos realm or wherever he's from..." She paused, "...Did you owe me a favor?" Her mind was starting to get cloudy, apparently being tired caused some mental issues. "Maybe that's way."

"What favour could possibly grant me doing that?" Loki looked at her incredulously.

"Mayhaps you grew a heart grander for your friend than for yourself?" Thor proposed with a grin as he patted Loki on the back hard enough to cause him to spill half his drink.

"That's hardly likely, I wouldn't even do such a thing for you" Loki replied, rolling his eyes. "Mind you Thor, you are not my favourite person right now."

"But brother-"

"Do. Not." Loki gave Thor a viper's glare which shut him up pretty quick.

Ceres leaned forward, her head in her hands as she tried to remember, "Balls... I can't remember." Her sleeve fell down revealing rune shaped red marks on her forearms.

The runes caught Loki's eye immediately, "What happened to you?" he questioned, "unless... those are supposed to be there" he wasn't too sure what it meant to be a goddess in human form.
