"Teleportation of any kind is warded for a large radius around the shrine. We are essentially at the edge of it right now" Loki explained, "otherwise I would have brought us in closer to begin with."

"Damn." Juno said just realizing he was right.
" Loki can you use one of you illiusion to make us look like different people?" Ceres said as they hurried along

"Certainly" Loki waved his hand and suddenly Ceres looked like Black Widow, Juno looked like Hawk Eye and Loki himself looked like captain America, "How about Thor's Midgardian friends? I think there's only one girl but the one with the arrows seems pretty feminine so..." it was very weird to hear that coming from the Captain.
"Or we could be Shield" he snapped his fingers and he was Commander Fury, flanked by the two of them at Fury's second hand, Hill, and another agent.

"Avengers." Juno said.

Ceres simply blushed, Black Widow has such a tight outfit.

Loki blinked a few times before lifting up the eye patch, though his own eye was beneath it, "Just as well" he switched them back to the avengers, "I don't know how he and Odin manage."

"The Avengers showing up to defend the white house is much more believable than Fury appearing out of nowhere."
Ceres raised her hand, "Do I have to wear this? It's so embarrassing. >///<"

Loki grinned at her a little, "You should get Pietro to make you a real one" he commented as they charged forward.

Ceres turned bright red, rather angry, "There.is.no.WAY. I would request such an outfit." She said hurrying along behind them.

They walked right up to the gate, the guard there stopped them however, "I'm sorry, we're locking it down. You can't come through."

Captain Loki just turned to him, "Now you listen to me, there are giant blue monsters coming here and it's going to take more than a few bullets to take them down. But there's good news, they aren't after the President, so if you want to save his life and yours, you will let us through so we can get what they're really after and avoid having them rip this place apart-and on your watch no less."

He hesitated, looking at the group, "do... do you have Id?"

"Does it look like I can carry ID in this" Captain Loki gave him a look. "Who the hell do you think I am son?"

The guard swallowed, he could hear the chaos and destruction just a few streets away and his talkie was yelling at him something fierce. He grabbed the talkie, speaking into it while opening the gates, "I've got three of the avengers here, coming your way. Captain America, Black Widow and Hawk Eye."

"Your country will thank you" Captain Loki nodded to him and they headed inside.

Ceres had straightened up when they approached. 'Think tough. think tough." She remained silent while Captain Loki got them through. Just as they were passing through the gate, Ceres' foot got caught on something. She froze like a log as she started falling forward.

Luckily for her, Hawk Jun grabbed a hold of her to keep her from falling over. "Come on Beautiful." Hawk Jun winked.

Black Ceres pushed Hawk Jun away. "I can take care of myself. >>"

Perfect recovery.

Thanks to their special illusions they were able to walk right through a whole ton of security and it was a good thing to because the place was going into major lock down. As soon as the President heard they were on their way, he had the three ushered straight to him.

"Mr. President, it's an honor-despite the circumstances" Captain Loki saluted

"Captain" the president greeted, "Tell me what's happening."

"If you don't mind sir, you can talk on your way down to the bunker" one of the secret service agents began usherring them towards a secret passage.

"Actually that's not the best idea" Captain Loki interrupted, "They aren't here for you Mr. President, the safest thing you can do right now is leave the White House."

"Then what are they here for, pray tell?" the president demanded, "I'm not abandoning the White House for any act of terrorism."

"There's something here, in the ancient tunnels beneath this building that they're after." the fake captain explained, "head to safety and leave it to us. Once we find the object, we can lead them away from here."

The president paused, looking slightly confused but then something seemed to click, "The chandelier..."

"Mr. President, do you know where it is?" Hawk Jun asked, catching onto the president's reaction.
"We haven't much time." Black Ceres replied.

"Come with me" the president began leading the way down the bunker.
Captain Loki looked intrigued and followed him down the passage and into a rather classy looking room. It had clearly been designed with the original white house plans, that much could be seen by the style of it but the way that the passage wound and then opened up into the space seemed a little more organic which meant it had likely followed the natural pathway of the cave that had been there.

The president pointed to the ceiling where a beautiful chandelier hung, yet while most of the lighting had been changed over the years to accommodate electrical improvements, it looked like the chandelier hadn't been touched at all. It was a simple but elegant cage design, wrapped around a stone that lit the whole room with a beautiful white/blue light.

"Far as I know it's never needed a light bulb replaced, it doesn't have any wiring going to it but it's always been there." the president explained, "Is that what they're looking for?"

"That is it" Captain Loki confirmed, it had been some time, but he recognized it. He pulled over a chair and climbed up, carefully dismantling the chandelier to pull out the central piece which was in fact not just the stone but the whole staff that had been incorporated into the design.

There was a rumble. "I don't think there'll be time to evacuate the president." Hawk Juno said running up to the group.

"Once we're out lock yourself in, Mr. President. We'll lure them away. Captain?" Black Ceres said heading for the exit with Hawk Juno.

The president nodded and Captain Loki saluted him again before heading out after his comrades. Once they had left the bunker the sound of the heavy metal door clanged shut with a definitive locking click.

"Let's get this thing out of here" Captain Loki commented as they resurfaced.

"We can get the Frost Giants attention and when we get out of range of the shrine we can teleport away." Hawk Juno said, kicking a window open and hopping down.

"Why gain their attention?" Loki looked at her, "when we can slip away unseen?"

"Because, it would look bad if we didn't." Hawk Juno said, "If the frost giants continue to attack the white house it'll only cause more problems down the road.

"Loki... Captain... What would Captain America do?" Black Ceres said with big eyes, the angle she was standing gave Loki a nice shot of her cleavage.

Loki looked less than amused as the illusion dropped from them all, "I'm not sure if you noticed, but I don't have a real big shield, a hero complex or an overwhelming need to hurl myself into dangerous situations when I really don't need to. I am taking this, and leaving" he turned, just as one of those frost giants found their way into the large room. It took one look at Loki, then at the staff and came charging forward.
Loki looked at him and sighed, "Damn."

"Time to go." Ceres grabbed Loki by the arm and they jumped out the window after Juno onto the front lawn.

Loki rolled to his feet on the grass and managed to get out of the way as the giant jumped down to meet them, while crying out to it's brethren that it had found the staff. It wasn't long before the trio got boxed in by the giants in the middle of the large white house lawn.

As they began to get boxed in, Ceres stumbled sideways into Juno.

"You alright?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." She said, her face rather pale.
"You've overexerted yourself, haven't you?"
"...Maybe."

Juno held her scythe in a attack stance, "Loki, any ideas other than I make a path for you to get Ceres and yourself out of here?" She asked, eyeing the Frost Giants.

Loki glanced around at them, "Well..." he clapped his hands together and suddenly there was hundreds of each of them. The giants stopped, not entirely sure who to target now, "how about I distract them and we all get away?" he offered in a whisper.

"Loki" the leader of the group of Frost giants spoke, it wasn't Byleistr but likely some sort of a general, "hand over the staff."

"You know it's tempting" one of the illusions closest to the giant replied, "But I think I'll hang onto it."

"Byleistr sends his regards" the giant replied, "perhaps we could-"

"Not interested" Loki illusion replied, cutting him off.

"You seemed to think it was a good idea before"

Loki glared, "Before your king fed me to the sisters, that did put a damper on our relationship" So that was how he knew exactly what the giants were up to.

It was probably why Loki gave them information; to learn of his own past.

Juno grinned, "Are we gonna talk or-"

"Are we gonna smash some heads?" Another Juno finished her sentence.

"Kill them and take the staff!" the Frost Giant ordered and then moved in to attack. The illusions immediately responded, disappearing anytime a giant smashed through one while the real versions were able to run about, virtually undetected.
