Shortly later Namor arrived, strolling into the room and looking pleased, "Princess, you are looking well. How do you feel?"

"SOR-" Her voice cracked, "Sore... What happened your highness?" She asked softly.

"Monsters from the surface world" Namor frowned, "They came in metal ships and desecrated my city. Not a single building was left standing. I am told that the death count is in the thousands, and it would have been more without Miss. Frost's psychic warning. Although even that came far too late for many." he turned slightly, his eyes gazing upon the blank wall with anger, "I tracked down as many as I could, but I cannot be certain that they are all dead. These beasts will pay with all they have for the war they have declared upon us."

Bits and clips came back to her, "The Purifiers.... They're an organization formed out of hate for anyone who isn't human... The usually just hurt and kill mutants. I never would have thought they would attack your people. I'm sorry for the lost of your city and it's people-" Ciara's eyes widened. The boy. "There was a boy! Is he ok??!" She got up but stumbled backward, about to fall over.

"Stay" Namor ordered her, "Rest. The boy will live, thanks to you I hear. We are grateful for your assistance in this matter. As soon as you are well enough to move, I will have you taken back to Genosha."

She sat back down as soon as he said the boy was alright. "Thank goodness for that." She sighed, relieved. "Thank you, your highness." She slipped back under the blanket, "Where are we anyways?" She asked.

"A place where no surface dweller knows of" Namor replied, "and neither shall you Princess. It is for the best of my people."

She nodded, "But how... How did I get here?" She looked very confused. "I mean it must be close to Atlantis then." She had no idea she had been carried, hundreds of miles away from the ruins of Atlantis to this place, while being under water.

"You have been asleep for several days Princess" Namor informed her, "It will take you several more to return. Rest now, I should like to see you sent off safely soon. I have no time to quarrel petty things with Genosha, inform your leader that this is the end of the matter. They shall not invade my waters any further."

"I wouldn't dream of distracting your gaze when your people are in such need. I will let them know your answer and perhaps in better times we can discuss the matter again. If any aid your people need, Genosha will be there without question." She said strongly. Namour would never accept help. He was too proud; much like Eric. When she got to Genosha she'd give Bruce a call... see if he can get her a ton load of rice for his people.

"Please return to your people, your highness. They need the presence of their king more than ever." She didn't want to keep him from his work.

"I am well aware of what my people need" Namor stated in response, "They need their homes, food and safety-all of which has been taken away and put into jeopardy." he paused, thinking a moment before turning back to Ciara, "Tell me more of these Purifiers. How vast is their army and where do they reside?"

"I meant no disrespect, your highness..." She said softly.

At the mention of the Purifiers name, a shiver ran up her back and her face turned a bit pale. She looked down at her lap, " The Purifiers are a group of Christian fundamentalists who see the mutant race as demons; monsters... evil- Er, Christianity is a religion," She added not sure how much of the surface world Namour was familiar with. " And because they see us as creatures of the devil they find us WORTHY of eradicating from the face of the earth. Their members include corporate elites, political figures and intelligence personnel.

And for what they lack in super powers, they make up in skill and technology. They're highly trained. They've held their own against the X-men and O.N.E Troops. They possess a variety of deadly armaments and munitions. From Assault Rifles to Anti-tank missiles, you name it they have it. They leave nothing but a trail of death. They leave no survivors. It doesn't matter if you're old, a woman, a child or injured. They'll walk right up to you, point the gun in between your eyes and pull the trigger... without a second thought.

They have ties to churches- umm... temples all over the world so pin-pointing their main base of operations has been hard. We have a team working on locating them. If you come back to Genosha with me, I'm sure they can tell you more... But I never thought they would attack Atantlians. I guess they're widening their gaze-...They left survivors...they never leave survivors unless..." Ciara's eyes widened, she ripped the blanket off and flinging herself out of bed and stumbled into the wall. "I have to warn them. They need to know."

Namor listening, a defined furrow in his brow increasing as she spoke. He did not like the sounds of these 'purifiers', not one bit. Frowning as she stumbled to her feet, Namor held out a hand to steady her, "What is wrong?" he demanded to know, "You require rest. Tell me and I will send word"

Ciara took it, gripping his forearm as well. She hissed, the burn on her back was starting to crack. "They never leave suriviors! It was a test. Atlantas was a test. They're going to attack Genosha!" Panic was clear in her voice. She had to get to them. Protect them.

"I will send word to your friends immediately" Namor declared, "and my armies will amass as well. If their base is so hard to find, then we will destroy their army and persuade any survivors to tells us where it is. They shall rue the day that they brought Atlantis into this war."

Her expression relaxed, relieved that word would get through but her legs trembled. "Thank you, your Majesty. I hope that I can repay the kindness you and your people have given to me-" She tried to shift her weight but her arms gave way and she ended up falling into Namour.

The King caught her, making sure to be careful of her back he gently lifted her and placed her back in bed. For someone so strong and fierce, he could have a very soft touch.
"Rest" Namor ordered, "I will not say it again. I will take care of this for you, and Namor does not disappoint." he turned abruptly to leave.

"Gah. Sor-RY." She tensed up and blushed as he carried her back to bed. It rather surprised her to find his arms could hold her so gently. The man was a wall of abs for crying out loud.

"Ok..." She said giving in to his order and rolling onto her side to try and get some rest. She pulled her earrings off and set them beside the bed and sighed, finding that small conversation with Namour to be rather draining.

The moment NAmor stepped out of the room he was barking orders, sending the fastest messengers to Genosha and making preparations for their army. It was time to strike back.

Another week went by with Ciara bedridden. Finally she was able to get up and move around a bit...

She ended up, sitting with a bunch of young ones, telling them stories and songs; illustrating them with small creatures made out of water.

A shawl wrapped around her shoulders as she sung along with the kids a name game song she'd altered for them. Clapping to keep rhythm.

There's a string ray," Ciara sang and turned to the little girl beside her.
"An Octopus!"
"A Penguin" The next one said.
"And a Seal!"And the next.

"Some many things to see,
right outside our door..."

It was about the 4th time she'd snuck out of bed. She just couldn't stand sitting around in bed all day. Probably had to do with being stuck in a tupperware size container when she was pulled from her mother's womb. Her back was looking better but it wasn't 100%.

*Pouty face activated*

The tunnels through the rock were somewhat limited, it seemed like any other sections were likely connected by underwater passage ways. Namor had already lead his army away to Genosha to deal with the Purifier threat, which left his second in command here to take care of the young, the old, the weak, the females and a handful of protecting soldiers.

The halls were cold, colder than what was normal for being so far below the surface. It was clear that they must have gone rather far south, perhaps near Antarctica.

She'd figured they'd moved further south because of how cold it was but she couldn't figure out how she had made it there without drowning.

The healers told her she'd be ready to travel soon. But how soon was soon? She was deadly worried about Genosha.... And Namour and Eric. They'd surely be having shouting matches at each other without someone to step between them.

There had been no word from Namor or Genosha since the army left. People's apprehensions always wore high under these circumstances but the soldiers assured everyone that it was normal not to hear anything yet. The battle could take days, and then days more for a messenger to come.
