"We don't have enough people to defend the entire island, so we're going to have to pick our area carefully." Scott began, "Namor, I would be honored if you protected our eastern coastline. I know you don't need the help but Ciara's powers work best near the water so I'm sending her there as well." He nodded to Ciara and then turned to the others, pointing out places on the map before them, "You three, cover Messiah Street from the coast to Kelp Lane. You, you and you, from there to Summer Boulevard. You two, take this bridge here. Any of them on foot can be corralled into this section where you three will be waiting. This tower is our last defense, don't let them get here."

There was some consecutive nodding and general agreement until Pietro piped up, "What about me Summers?"

"What about you Pietro?" Scott turned to him, "You're not fit for battle, you should be off the island with the others."

"Like hell!" Pietro stepped forward, grabbing Scott by the front of his shirt, "You feel that Summers?" he demanded, the vibrations of his body branched out into Scott. Scott grabbed his wrist to make him let go but that only made the leader look a bit greener, "Whatever the hell is going on with me, all it takes is this to make them feel as sick as I do." he let go, "I'm not sitting this one out. I'm done sitting things out and watching from the sidelines. I'm done being treated like a punk kid who doesn't know jack about shit. Those years are over Summers, Brotherhood and X-men, we're supposed to be all one big happy family now aren't we?"

"Pietro, that has nothing to do with this. You aren't well-" Scott tried to reason.

"I'm well enough." Pietro retorted, "and I'll be here." he pointed to the least protected section in Scott's layout, "because you need another body here, and I'm all you damn well got."

Scott ran a hand through his hair and sighed, he glanced briefly towards Magneto who just shrugged with a slight grin on his face. "Fine." caved the leader, "That's everything. Go to your posts. Emma and I will be in the tower monitoring the situation as it unfolds and keeping a mental link with everyone."

Once Scott was done, she put a hand on his shoulder, "I already tried to talk him out of it. Good Luck." She walked over to Pietro and gave him a quick kiss, "Be careful."

"Looks like it's just you and me Namou- I mean, your highness." She said, approaching him after saying good luck to her family members.

Scott sighed and nodded and everyone dispersed. Namour gave Ciara a slight smile, "The two of us shall be more than sufficient princess" he proclaimed, "Namour is unstoppable, and even more so in the sea."

Ciara smiled back as they headed out of the building, "That's good to hear. We'll need all the strength we can get for what's to come..." Ciara formed a large water dragon which knelt before them, "After you, your highness."

Namour nodded and lead the way without another word.

The beach was quiet as they approached. Ciara rubbed her arm as they approached, this was where swimming lessons and camps took place. A large area in the water had been set up with rope and boonies. A few lanes for the older children to do laps of front crawl and other techniques. On the edge of the sand before the long grass started sat several tropical island themed huts. Made out of bamboo and dry grass.

Ciara wandered into one of the huts, the inside of it was covered in artwork. Crayon drawings, beaded necklaces, paintings, cards. Anything the kids had given her was put up on these walls.

It was a shame this place would soon be a battle field, all their pretty works of art would be ruined.

Namour stepped into the shallows of the water further down the coastline, he looked like a great chiseled statue of a man. His hard eyes gazing into the horizon as he readied himself for the oncoming battle. Then again, Namour always looked ready to fight.

Ciara left the hut, hopping on the back of her large water dragon. She sat, with her legs off the one side of it's neck, waiting for them to appear. Or to sense their presence. Ciara couldn't help but look over at Namour every now and then. Wondering if he'd turned to stone... He kinda reminded her of Log- She sighed. Right, she'd dumped him on the day his wife and son died... No wonder he wasn't here.

She didn't blame him. She just wished she hadn't bumped into him so often in the past... Built his hopes up. She really did feel bad but Gotham had changed her... She shook her head. This was no time to be thinking of the past. She needed to stay focused. Calm... Ready.

It hit like a bomb,
Probably because it was. There was an explosion to Ciara's right that came out of nowhere, followed closely by the appearance of the underwater ships that had attacked Atlantis-except this time they were flying just above the water.

Namour leaped into action immediately, grabbing one machine and slamming it into another to take them both out.

Emma's voice rang in their head, instilling a calm but urgent tone. "They're hitting us all at once, our radar didn't pick them up. Hold your ground. I'm not detecting any thoughts coming from the attackers, they're likely automated. Keep your eyes open for the human assault"

Ciara quickly shielded herself from the blast before charging at the ships. Now they could hover above water? Interesting tech...

Ciara weeded water through one ship and pulled it apart from the inside out. "Roger that Emma." It would explain why she couldn't sense anyone... Mind you, she was around an awful lot of water.

The ships were air tight, water tight, but they still needed a way of pushing air and water to make them move so that's where Ciara was able to destroy them from-everywhere else on them however, was shut in tight.

The metal that was used was strong, even Namour struggled to beat into the hard substance but there was certainly nothing to stop that metahuman strength. Nothing the Purifiers had in large supply anyway.

Compared to Ciara, Namour was knocking them out like they were flies. After a month of just sitting around and not doing much, she was a wee bit out of shape.

Ciara landed on one of the crafts and ran from the back of it to the front, as a jet stream of water shot through the back, following her movements. She kicked off and flipped off the craft, dodging several rounds of ammo as she landed back on the shoreline but not before staggering a few steps forward. Her mouth open slightly as she tried to keep herself from huffing and puffing.

"Is there no end to their hate?" She was referring of course to the number of ships attacking them.

"As a matter of fact, no" a voice spoke from behind Ciara. In all the commotion it seemed that somehow a few purifiers did get on the island-and now it was clear how as ten of them suddenly appeared out of thin air. They had cloaking devices to! Where was all this technology coming from?!
The one who had spoken already had a gun aimed at Ciara's head and shot immediately after speaking.

Ciara's eyes widened as she suddenly sensed their presence.

The bullet flew through the air, as it flew it seemed as it approached Ciara to break through what looked like a tiny wall of water, not visible till something hit it. She only had enough time to tilt her head to the side; the bullet still grazing her but not a fault wound.

She grit her teeth and turned, blood now dripping down the side of her face. Her head stinging in pain. Couldn't hit the suit that lets her heal could they?

Her eyes glowed brighter. "Murders! Monsters!" She yelled as one by one they became unable to walk as the water in their legs broke their bones. (Just in the legs and their trigger fingers of course).

"Creatures filled with so much hate... HOw many are there of you?!" She asked the one who shot her. Stepping hard on his arm.

((Hey, I gotta talk to you about Job stuffs. Can you come on Skype for me? also, a certain little Ginger would like to see you!))

The purifiers were startled and one by one they collapsed to the ground in pain. The one who had shot at her groped for his gun, trying to fight back. He yelled in pain as Ciara stepped on his arm. Immediately the robot flyers turned and began firing at Ciara as a primary target.

Ciara covered herself and the group of soldiers in a shield of water. "How many!?!" She screamed in his face, holding him by the collar. Blood began to drip down the one side of face. "Answer me!"

The man just gave her a smile in return, "heh... too many" he replied.

Ciara grit her teeth and with a swift kick, knocked him out. Just around the time her shield gave way. "Crap!" Ciara somersaulted out of the way of fire and hurried behind the reminds of a half destroyed building. Beep Beep Beep Beep Damn body suit. Yes she did know she was losing blood... "X suit, detract left sleeve." With a small hiss the sleeve gave way at the shoulder seam.

She didn't have time to look over the wound properly, she wrapped the sleeve around her head and tied it. "Emma, can you hear me? They're already on the island! I repeat, they're cloaked and on the island! Be careful!"

The onslaught kept coming and for awhile it was starting to look hopeless. Everyone was pushed right back to the tower, even Scott and Emma were forced to join the ground battle as a missile took out the top of the tower. The Fantastic four arrived in time to save a few lives. Nightwing and Robin were short to follow, along with a few of the avengers who were able to sneak away under America's nose.

Even with all of them, there was only one last option when it came down to it. Magneto brought everyone close together and sent a massively destructive wave of metal through the island. Buildings collapsed, the ground crumpled beneath the feet of the Purifiers and they were pulled into the Ocean below. The machines immediately moved in to save them and take them away, and so the Purifiers were forced to leave.

But Genosha was in ruins.

Ciara stood looking on at the ruins of the once beautiful city. It was hard to take the fact that another home had been destroyed. But buildings could be rebuilt, people couldn't. It was going to be a long process to rebuild. "I guess Genosha was in good need of a better layout anyways." She joked, rubbing the back of her head, before feeling dizzy and leaning back against a ruin wall.

Pietro fell down next to Ciara and half the others joined them on the ground as well, including a completely exhausted Magneto. Scott kept to his feet though, "Flash, if you've still got the energy, can you help me check the city for any stragglers?" he questioned, "Emma, I could use your help with it to. Everyone else take a break. We'll be back shortly and then we're going to have to move to the mainland where we left the others."

"A little time and a little help and I'll be able to get my device up and running in a few days" Reeds spoke up while he was being bandaged from an injury, "then we can bring everyone back."

As soon as Scott mentioned having a break, Ciara flopped against the closest person and passed out.
