Ciara paused, not expecting him to do that and without much thought pressed her lips against his, kissing him passionately. After about a min she pulled away, "If that's all you wanted, I'll see you in the morning." She turned to the screen and stuck her tongue out.

As she walked away, Sinister called after her, "You're sleeping in the other room with me tonight, if that's alright"

Ciara looked back, a bit of blush on her face, "Oh...Ok. That's fine. I'll see you in a bit then." She hurried off.

Sinister turned back to the screen, staring right down at the group of X-men in victory, "This is your only warning, give up the chase x-men. Ciara is mine-and by the way, you have 25 seconds to escape before the lab explodes, it takes forty to run out. Have fun" his face was replaced by a giant clock.

Scott turned to the team. " Quick Silver get everyone out as fast as you can. Everyone else; RUN!" He ordered quickly

Pietro's eyes were glued to the screen, like a deer caught in the headlights he was frozen in place.

"Pietro!" Scott yelled, slapping him. "Quick Silver. MOVE NOW!"

Pietro yelped, startling back into the moment, "Dude-what-right!" he grabbed the nearest person and began running people out of the secret base. He went back for Scott last and they both still got hit by the tail end of the explosion, sending the two of them barreling at super speed to the ground.
"uhng" Pietro groaned, his ears ringing as he tried to pull himself to his wobbly feet.

Scott wrapped his arm around Pietro and pulled him away from the rumble. "Regroup at the jet, we're go from there." He ordered, not quite sure what else to do, the image of Ciara kissing that...that thing still imprinted very hard inside his mind. "Sorry I slapped you... You ok?" He asked Quick Silver.

"Fine" Pietro shook his head, regaining his balance, "Just... fine" he turned away to head for the Jet with the others.

Scott sat down in the pilot's chair and rung up Batman, "Batman, this is Cyclops. He knew we were coming..."

"Did everyone make it out?" Batman questioned, not sounding surprised-not that he ever did

"Yes. We're all fine. A little nerve rattled... It's worse than we thought.." Scott then described the video which they had seen before running for their lives.

"I see" Batman replied simply, "My team is already out tracking their next location. I'll be in touch when we find something."

"Thank you Batman, we'll return to base in the meantime. The shock of what we just viewed isn't sitting well with the lot of us..."

The call ended. Red Tornado looked at Batman, "A most unfortunate turn of events."

"I was afraid of this" Batman frowned as he began pulling up things on the computer, "Sinister's gotten into her head, and worse, he knew they were coming. I don't believe that the Young Justice team tipped him off either."

"Then who? The information regarding Ciara's disappearance has been kept as a need to know basics. " Red Tornado commented.

"There's a lot about Ciara that's strictly need to know" Batman replied, "And you don't need to know all of it. Just trust me."

"Very well. Though on a strictly need to know mission any information regarding Ciara would be helpful in determining her location."

Batman thought about for a moment, then tapped a few keys and brought up Ciara's Bat-cave file, "Ciara McCoy, also known as Ciara McHale. Born in the future and sent back through time by the Time Reaper to avoid dying by the hands of Sinister in the future. This is fact. On pure speculation, I suspect that Mister Sinister from the future has implanted a psychic remnant of himself in her mind, which is allowing the Sinister of this time to better control her as well as learn of our movements before we make them. The only solution is to create a situation in which there is no way out, which under the circumstances is nearly impossible."

"So all we can do is to do the one thing humans do... when you fail at something: Try, Try again."

Batman nodded, "At least... for now it would seem. I can guarantee that we will get her back though." he added, "Otherwise, why would the future sinister have been so desperate to keep her as a child?"

"Ah. I see. So current Ciara McCoy does not reach her full potential in the hands of Mr. Sinister. Forcing him to take her in the future to further explore her powers at full strength... We can only hope that we rescue her sooner rather than later."

Batman nodded, "This is classified, alpha 1 information Red Tornado. No one must ever hear of it, or we risk altering the time line"

"Which would be bad to say the least" Horatio commented as he walked up to them, "So I would appreciate if you stopped talking about it right now, because the kids are trying to eavesdrop."

Red Torando turned, "Stop, Identify yourself!"
