A flick of his wings had Lalage cursing slightly under his breath. It wasn't all that difficult to stay completely still, save for the fact that his wings kept fluttering against his volition. Peering down slightly he noticed Ikori's searching gaze. Of course the dog would find him. It was just a matter of whether or not he could climb. But what if the man fell?

Ikori caught that flick of wings as soon as it happened. His eyes were rather sharp. He had found his master. Silly faery thought he could hide in a tree, but Ikori had found him. A grin on his lips, the dog didn't falter or seem intimidated as he looked at the trees around him. He wasn't the best of climbers, but it was easier to climb trees in this human form than his true form. If he were a cat he supposed it would be a lot easier, they were just so good at climbing things. Ikori jumped up and caught a low hanging branch from the tree Lalage was perched in. He pulled himself up and grabbed at another branch. Slowly but surely Ikori was making his way up to where Lalage was.
He grabbed another branch, one that seemed just as think and supportive as the others, except when Ikori began to pull himself up, he heard the distinct sound of a cracking branch. Then he was falling. Ikori suddenly wished he was a cat. Cat's always landed on their feet and he knew he wasn't going to land on his feet. He hit a few branches on his way down, grunting at each one he hit. Gritting his teeth. Ikori would hit the ground hard with a loud gasp as the air was knocked from his lungs. Nasty bruises already forming on his torso, over his ribs where he had hit more than a few branches on his way down. At least nothing was broken, but Ikori didn't really feel like moving, so he laid there.
Eyes open, a frown on his lips and he draped an arm across his forehead. Honestly, it wasn't the first time he'd fallen out of a tree, but it would be the last. Ikori was not ever going to climb another tree, unless he somehow managed to turn into a cat. Then he might climb trees alot, because then he'd be good at it.

Lalage peered down at Ikori from his perch worriedly. Eyes widening the fae watched in horror as the dog fell. Without thinking Lalage plunged from the branches, flitting trough them with ease until his feet rested against the ground. "Ikori? Answer me, are you alright?" Kneeling quickly he pressed a gentle hand to some of the bruises he could see forming. Whispering lightly to himself the fae used some of his magic to ease the pain and make the bruises heal. Not fully, there were too many of them for that to work well. Besides bruises weren't such bad things.
He wanted to make all the pain Ikori knew go away. Leaning down to press an affectionate kiss upon the dog's cheek, he smiled. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have hidden there." Worry flitted trough the words though he'd not said that it aloud.

He had to admit. It had been fun until he fell out of the tree. Faulty tree branches. Ikori wriggled slightly when Lalage put his hand on some of the bruises. The scent of magic made his nose tingle. But Ikori was grinning at the faery, and when Lalage leaned down to press a kiss on his cheek, Ikori reached out. Wrapping his arms around his master and pulling him down atop him. Never mind the bruises, they were only bruises. They wouldn't hurt forever. Ikori's body shook slightly as he laughed. He licked Lalage's cheek and held the faery close. "...I don't think trees like me very much...I always fall out of them." Physical pain was nothing to Ikori, it was more tolerable and more welcome than emotional pain. Still for a brief moment he had been afraid he might die, but he hadn't. It was probably one of the reasons why he was laughing.

Chuckling as Ikori hugged him, Lalage wriggled around until he could run a hand trough the dog's dark hair. "I could teach you how to climb without falling." Though at the same time he might just be too worried to. Losing his friend, the only one he'd ever had, was too frightening a thought to contemplate for long. It had been rather lonely growing up in the forests without any company of the kind he craved, save for a few rare travelers who always left in fear.
"Then again, I don't want you getting hurt again." Closing his grey eyes the fae finally let himself relax. It wouldn't do to think of the past, not when the present held so much more then he imagined it ever could.

Ikori shook his head slightly. "...I don't think I'll want to climb trees ever again..or anytime soon.." He was still laughing a bit though, he held Lalage close and nuzzled against him softly. Ikori was content to just hug Lalage like this, it was nice, hugging. Especially after a near death experience like that. If it was even really a near death one. Ikori whined happily, content to just be close to his loving and caring master. It was so good to have such a kind master. Lalage had even said he didn't want Ikori to get hurt. He was so kind. Of course he was though. Faery's were much better than humans. Ikori nuzzled Lalage again, making happy sounds.

Laughing along with Ikori, Lalage tried to stop himself. "That tickles!" Moving his head around, the fae nuzzled the dog in return. Pressing a gentle kiss here and there, he wrapped his free arm around Ikori's waist with a smile. Sure the arm was going to fall asleep, but it was worth it to pull himself even closer to the other. "Why were you in my forest?" Sobering with a shake of his head, the fae glanced into Ikori's blue eyes. "I want to protect you, if you were running away from someone." Explaining himself quickly, Lalage hoped the dog wouldn't mind his prying. The thought of him being hurt had made him remember how they'd met. As joyous as that had been, there were definitely questions slipping into the blue and amethyst winged fae's mind at a rather fast pace.

Ikori wriggled a bit when Lalage put an arm around his waist. When the faery asked him why he was in the forest, Ikori frowned slightly. The sadness returning to his happy blue eyes. "...It seemed a nice enough place to rest." His arms tightened around Lalage and he clung to the faery tightly as his heart ached at the memory. "There was a town...and someone saw me change. From this form to my true form. It didn't take them long to get everyone together. They said mean things and threw rocks at me until I fled from the town....They called me a demon." His brow furrowed slightly, he never fully understood why humans that he was a demon, he wasn't demonic at all. He was just a dog, and all he wanted was a comfortable home with a nice master. "I'm just a dog, I'm not capable of doing the things that demons do.." He tried to hide his face against Lalage's shoulder, clinging hard to the faery.

Lalage winced as he forced his wings back into his back. It was always like they burst forth anew each time, and it was painful. It had been worth it to see Ikori's reaction though. Shifting around he somehow managed to switch spots with Ikori in order to hold him even closer. Running a soothing hand over the other's back, he made small sounds meant to comfort the dog. "Don't worry, no one would dare come after you here. I'll keep you safe." Using a gentle touch he turned Ikori's face so he could press a soft kiss to his lips. Seeing such sadness in his friend's eyes made Lalage's heart plummet. Why had he even brought that up? They'd been having such fun.

Ikori wriggled slightly when Lalage switched spots with him. He hid his face against Lalage's neck and nuzzled softly. The pain would go away and it wasn't so bad as before, now that he had a kind master. Lalage would keep him safe, and he would keep Lalage safe. He smiled slightly when his master turned his face towards him. Then Lalage was kissing him. Ikori made a soft noise of contentment this time, he didn't push weakly or pull weakly away from the kiss. In fact, Ikori gave in to it. His master liked kissing him, so he would enjoy it. Besides, it really did feel very nice. He wriggled slightly and attempted to return the kiss, a little uncertainly, but he was trying.

Lifting a hand to run it trough Ikori's hair, Lalage tried not to show how much it meant to him that he hadn't pulled away. Pressing his lips harder against Ikori's the fae moved to deepen the action with a sigh of contentment. For a moment he wondered if the dog knew what exactly kissing meant to him. The fae wasn't going to ruin the moment, but maybe later he would ask. Lalage just didn't want to be left alone again. A tear ran down his face though Lalage did his best not to notice as he pulled the dark haired man closer.

Ikori whined softly, a happy noise when Lalage deepened the kiss. Ikori might not fully understand what kissing meant to Lalage. He didn't fully understand what it meant to most humans, but he did know that humans did it as a courtship thing. A mating thing or something like that. It didn't matter. His master wanted to kiss him, and he found he rather enjoyed it greatly. He relaxed completely against the faery, the dog practically melted into the kiss. It felt even better when he let himself relax and just go with it. Though it did begin to stir things that probably shouldn't be stirred. Ikori's eyes had slipped closed and he made soft noises of contentment, a slight whine and a very soft moan. Kissing Lalage was really really nice.

Still kissing Ikori, Lalage found his hands wandering to places they shouldn't have. It was so hard to stop himself from going further, when he wanted to oh so much. The fae settled for kissing and touching, though an increasing urgency molded itself into each movement. "Ikori," breathed out the fae softly while catching his breath. "Please get up, you've already said no once and I would rather not have to hear that again right now." Lifting a hand to his face, Lalage found a few stray tears. Erasing them quickly, he offered a smile to Ikori as if to say he was sorry for asking him to back away. Hopefully the dog would remember what had happened the night before in the lake, or had that been during the day? Either way, it had been obvious that Ikori was horrified of what Lalage wanted. The fae didn't want his friend to run away, and this was the only way he knew how to stop that from happening.

Ikori was about to pull away anyway before Lalage even said anything. The kissing was very nice, and Ikori didn't mind if they did that, but the dog didn't want it to go any further than just kissing. At least not yet. Though Ikori wasn't sure he'd ever want to do 'that' at all. Unless Lalage could prove to him that it was something nice and not painful. He pulled away from the faery and sat down on the ground next to him. He licked his lips softly, smiling slightly at Lalage. "...I like the kissing." He shifted slightly, his eyes bright. The pain that had been in them earlier was almost completely gone.

The fae remained on the ground looking up at the sky with thoughtful eyes, or at least what he could see of it. Memories of his past had come to plague him. There was no real reason for it, not one that Lalage wanted to think of anyway. "I'm glad. You didn't seem to want me to get anywhere near you the first time I kissed you." The words were meant to be playful, instead they fell flat. It was hard to tease and flirt when images of people leaving kept plaguing one's mind.

"I was afraid. I'd never been kissed before...but.." Ikori raised his arms to hug himself. "Humans have mated with me before, but it was so painful..I was afraid you wanted to do that..." It was a bit embarrassing to admit to such a thing, and his cheeks colored slightly with a light blush. Ikori looked away from Lalage, looking off to the side as he hugged himself lightly. "...but I know now that my master is a good, kind master. You wouldn't hurt me." He looked almost shyly at the faery and offered a small smile.

Anger flared up within Lalage's heart upon Ikori's behalf, but he quashed it quickly. Instead the fae concentrated on the smile given him by someone who'd managed to find a special place in his heart so soon. Fluidly sitting upright, Lalage reached out the tug Ikori into his arms. "I did want to do that, and I still do." Pressing his lips against the human shaped dog's head tenderly, he continued. "Hurting you wasn't my intention, and it still isn't. I wanted to .. please you. That remains true now too." The hesitation was brief as the amethyst haired fae took a precious moment to think upon his intentions.

Ikori wriggled just slightly as Lalage tugged him into his arms. He nuzzled the faery gently and made a soft sound of contentment. Ikori relaxed against Lalage, trusting his master and the things he said. "It pleases me to be a good dog for my master. I am happy when I can make my master happy." He pulled back slightly. "...My master...if doing 'that' would please you and make you happy then I won't refuse. My only desire in life is to live a long happy life with a good master. I want to be a good dog for you." Ikori chewed his bottom lip lightly and watched Lalage carefully. "You are a good master, I know you won't hurt me. Not on purpose, not intentionally." Ikori did believe that whole heartedly, after all, Lalage was the nicest person Ikori had ever known and the nicest master.

The faery took a moment to savor the words and their meaning before saying anything. Still silent, Lalage leaned his head against Ikori's shoulder and took a deep breath. He marveled silently at how good the dog smelled. Amethyst hair in disarray, Lalage looked almost as confused as he felt. Now that he could have that special closeness, he found himself wanting more then just that. He just didn't know if the dog was capable of feeling anything more then loyalty. "Do you want this, Ikori? for your sake not for mine." Things had changed so quickly.

"I only want the things that will make my master happy. So if this would make you happy, then yes. This is what I want." It was a simple matter really, simple to Ikori. Of course sometimes it could be complicated, though Ikori drew the line at things that would cause him great pain in order to please his master. He knew that a master that took pleasure in harming others was not the kind of master he wanted. Ikori also knew, in the short time he had known Lalage, that the faery was the kind of master he wanted. So Ikori would do this thing and probably anything else that Lalage asked of him, because he just knew the faery would not harm him or take pleasure in any harm done to him. "I want to please you, my master, in any way you would like. Making you happy makes me happy."

Shifting slightly the fae pressed his lips against his friend's neck. "I know you want to please me, to make me happy. But ... I have to know if there is more to this then loyalty on your part." Lalage wanted to snatch the words back though it was impossible. His eyes lifted to meet Ikori's for a moment before he nibbled lightly at the other's ear. Strong arms wrapped around the other man, the dog, to pull him close. Lalage wanted more. No, not just that, he wanted everything. Complex emotions and a relationship that he hadn't even known he wanted. The idea had popped into his mind so suddenly, and now it was entrenched in the fae's mind irrevocably.

"Loyalty is the base. Without loyalty there can be no trust and no love. If I'm not loyal to my master then how could he ever trust me enough to love me? If my master is not loyal to me, how could I ever trust him enough to love him. But I already love my master. Already you have been a kinder master in a day than those I have spent months and years with. I am a simple creature. Anything more is beyond my capability."
Ikori frowned slightly. These things were simple, but people always seemed to make them complicated. "I've been mated by humans before, it hurt greatly, but I did not trust those humans, I did not love them. If I had been truly loyal to them I never would have run away from them." He leaned against Lalage gently.
"I know doing that with you would not hurt me, because I trust you and I love you. It isn't just loyalty, but loyalty is the base of all my feelings, it's the root that holds them in. These are the things I feel, but I have no idea how my master feels." He pulled back slightly, watching Lalage expectantly. Ikori was a dog, but that didn't make him stupid. It only made him think of things more simply than other people would. It was all so simple, things only became complicated when a master called you a good dog before beating you bloody. Lalage wouldn't do that though.

As Ikori spoke Lalage couldn't help but feel a mixture of different warm emotions coursing trough him. Everything the dog had said was so true, and yet it hadn't occured to Lalage once during their ,admittedly short, time together. Ikori was wise in a way because of how uncomplicated things were for him.
Green eyes locked with Ikori's as Lalage righted himself so he could face his friend. His next words were too important for any of them to be missed. A small smile plastered itself on the fae's features, a little nervous and questioning all at once. "I trust you, I love you as much as I can for only knowing you a day and I want you." The last few words slipped out before Lalage could stop them. It was a product of not being used to hiding how he felt, or interacting with people too much. No matter, Ikori already knew.
The amethyst haired fae leaned forward to capture the other's lips with his own fiercely, and possessively. As Lalage pulled Ikori against himself once more a soft moan left him. That felt so good, having a warm body against him and knowing that it was wanted.

Ikori had relaxed a bit. Saying all that had made him feel just a bit lighter, though he hadn't realized there had been a weight on him. It also made him feel as if Lalage understood him better now. How could the faery not when everything had been explained so easily? Lalage righted himself and Ikori watched him and he listened. Ikori was loved, having a master say that and knowing the master meant it was probably the greatest thing in the world for Ikori. Well for now at least.
When Lalage kissed him, Ikori melted against him. Pressing against the faery gently, almost a little eagerly. He made a soft noise of contentment as Lalage held him close and they kissed. His own arms were around the faery, keeping Lalage close to him as well. It did feel good, kissing his master. He wriggled slightly and tried to press himself even harder, closer against Lalage. Soft whines and happy noises of contentment escaped from his throat.

The fae curled around the dark haired man protectively while holding him tight. He was in shock, he'd never believed this would actually happen though he'd wanted it to. Letting out a soft breath Lalage pressed a kiss to Ikori's neck then placed his head there without a second thought. Amethyst hair fluttered gently in the breeze as he wondered what to say.
Ikori was no traveler who would leave after a one night stand. This was his friend, and more. "What did you think?" The fae was a little hesitant to ask the question. It had been enjoyable, and more, for him. He was just afraid to have hurt the other man in his eagerness.
