"I don't think it's too good of an idea right now." Merik frowned, thinking it over. He already planned the bars, but now, with two of them, much more needed to be done. Double doors, coded seemed neccesary. He needed to find a way to continue keeping them shackled as well. That should be easy enough, to get them both in cages. He'd need to locate the shock collars he'd used for Beast for that part, though. "If you haven't noticed, Kai, I try to reward good behavior. Maybe that will be an incentive, time together. I'm going to flip you and do your leg and the front of your wing now, alright?" Merik didn't wait for a respond, flipping the angel. He took care to be more gentle this time. Right away, he started plucking the wing. "You angels...why don't you have white wings?"

Kai found his world being flipped over as he barely heard what the other had said. He found himself laying on his back now. The other's hands were at his wings again picking and pulling the feathers out. It was as if there were tiny pinpricks all over his skin. It hurt. Period. He heard the other ask him why his and Sage's wings weren't white. He didn't know 100% either but he remembered that it was a sign of powerful magic. White wings were the baseline for all angelic beings since everyone was born with some magical ability however, after that if your wings were a different color that meant that you had powerful magic. From there you could either become a healer, or a soldier, and even above them is where Sage and Kai's positions were. Among the higher ranks of the Seraph angels. "It shows rank," said Kai not giving the other more to work with. The other didn't need to know all about the magical hierarchy of the angelic world.

"Rank, huh?" Merik found himself smiling at the boy's cleverness. He was far from being broken. He had told him what he wanted to know, so he wouldn't get punished, but hadn't told him details. "And what rank are you and your friend Sage?" He pushed, testing the angel.
Soon, the spot was bare, and Merik was sewing the wing neatly, then moving to the leg. He hadn't noticed any shattering of the bone there, which was good. His aim had been spot on, embedding into the muscle neatly. He had noticed somethat that had concerned him when stitching the wing. It had healed. not completely, but fast. It would either need to be broken again, or Kai would need to be chained down too.

Kai thought that the other would be satisfied with his answer. Alas, the other had to continue to prod more information out of him. Clearly the other wasn't happy with knowing just that. "Well, I am an arc angel and Sage is an Arcane angel. I am a healer, and he is a soldier," said Kai as he turned his head away from the other. When angels were paired off they were paired in groups of two. There was a warrior and a healer. Usually, they ended up being pair bonds, but in Kai's case Sage was chosen for him before the two of them could make it official anyway. Since his head was turned he didn't see the look in the other's eye nor the concern when he saw that the wing had healed itself.
Meanwhile, Sage was beginning to form a plan. His upper body was strong. If he could get leverage he might be able to pull the shackles out of the wall completely. Then again they were able to hold onto an elf, so the chances were slim. However, he might be able to at least weaken them a little bit if not break them entirely. Flapping his black powerful wings he kicked off of the ground as he hovered there as he pulled the chain to see if it would loosen from the wall.

"I suppose that explains your wing healing like that then..." Merik mused aloud. "So you two aren't in love? But you were paired? What does that mean, then?" The human questioned, wanting to know more.
As soon as the angel took to the air, the hellhound began barking. He jumped at the being, but missed the angel's heels. The dog moved to the wall then, jumping at the chains. It took four tries, but finally he gripped the chain, and tugged, trying to get the angel down.
The human heard the barking and sighed. "Your friend is trying to make a mistake. Guess that means you're coming with me, huh?" Merik slipped his arms under the angel, carting him towards the other room. He doubted Kai could walk on that leg, but he wasn't going to risk it.

"I guess," muttered Kai as he looked around finally getting a good look at the room that they were in. They were in some form of a kitchen, and he could smell the heavenly scent of bread. Was the other a baker as well? He winced when he heard the other ask if they were "truly" lovers. It was true that they had been paired off at the beginning, but as the two of them spent more time together they began to develop feelings for one another. "Yes and no," replied Kai. "We were paired together, but we weren't attracted to each other at first. At least initially we weren't. When you are paired though you might as well be as good as lovers though since you spend a lot of time together both on the job and at home." Kai didn't know why he was feeling so comfortable talking with the other. Maybe it was the pain, that had to be it. The pain was making him do things that he wouldn't have normally done. That had to be it.
Sage heard the dog bark and it was a high pitched bark that made his spine tingle. It wasn't a normal dog bark. He was glad that he was in the air since the dog tried to jump into the air to get at his ankles. Luckily the animal missed, but the thing was more crafty than he had been. He watched as the dog jumped up the side of the wall and grabbed the chain. There was a fierce yank and he could feel muscles in his wrists spasm as he was yanked downwards. He was still in the air, but this time he was about 3-4 feet off of the ground. Well within striking distance.
Kai heard the dog bark and froze. What was Sage trying to do. Before he could ask questions he was scooped up in the other's arms and carried out of the room. As the two made their way down the hallway he just prayed that the other hadn't done something stupid.

"Down Beast!" Merik commanded. The hound released the chain, but continued to growl. "Good boy." Merik praised, dropping the teal winged angel unto his couch. He began moving towards the black winged one, pausing to pat the hell hound on his head. The beast refused to look away from Sage.
"Get down." The human commanded. Without waiting for the boy to comply, Merik tugged Sage down, patting his cheek. "You will spend the night in a cage. Kai has proven that he can be somewhat obedient. You, however, have to prove yourself. Beast." Merik looked to the dog, who finally turned his glowing eyes to the human. "Guard." Merik pointed at Kai, then reached to his pocket as the dog trotted over to the teal angel. "Sage..." Merik spoke slowly, like Sage was daft. "I'm going to unlock you. If you make one wrong move towards me, Beast over there will rip out your friend's throat. If you disobey, I'll give a command that makes him do the same. Do you understand? We are going to head to the basement, and you are going to get into your cage like a good boy, and I'll feed you. If you disobey any of this, after Kai lies dead, I'll punish you the same way I punished him. Understood?"

((-insert swear word- I am at work right now and you're on. crud -sad face-))
Sage continued to fly in the air, and was rather "thankful" to say the least that the beast let the chain go. The chain fell to the ground with a soft clatter. Letting out a sigh of relief he glanced towards the other and immediately grimaced when he saw who made the order. Sage heard the other's order and was about to not listen to it, but then saw as the hellhound began making its way towards Kai who was laying on the nearby couch. Huffing a little bit he stopped flapping as he came to rest on the floor. He truly felt utterly alone in the world at this time. "There," he said as he glared at the other. "Now get that beast away from him." He knew that he was ordered the other, but he didn't know what else to do.
((Urgh, I don't like the way that this came out, I might edit it, that is if you can't do anything with it.))

Merik didn't waste time, lifting his hand, then bringing it across the boy's cheek. "Let's try again. You are going to the basement and going to get into a cage, where you will put on a collar and your hands will be chained again. If you do anything at all that displeases me, Kai over there will get hurt. Do you understand?" Merik's voice had raised while he spoke, and his eyes were glinting.

((Nah it's cool -hugs))
Sage's face snapped violently to the right and he now had a bright red mark beginning to fork on his once cream colored cheek. His first reaction was to throttle the human in front of him, but then he decided that he couldn't put Kai in anymore danger. He knew that he would be able to weather the pain, but he wasn't so sure that the other would be able to. Scratch that, he knew that the other wouldn't be able to. Turning to look at the other he uncrossed his arms as he hung his head in defeat as he said rather clearly," Alright." He then held his hands in front of the other to show that he was giving up, for the time being. As he stood there he thought about what was going to happen to Kai. He would be sent to the basement, but where was Kai going to go. Before he could stop himself he blurted out,"If I am to go to the basement where is Kai going to be staying." He then winced as he shut his eyes and ducked a little expecting to get hit again.

"I haven't decided." The human answered with a grin. He was happy the other was obeying, however, he wasn't out of the clear yet. There was still a lot of time for Sage to make a bad move. He needed more to hold over his head. "If you are a good little boy, maybe your friend will join you in the basement. If you are bad, then maybe I'll keep him in my bed again..."
He stepped up to the black winged angel, and slid his key into the locks. The chains made a tiny clicking sound again as they were released, and right away, Merik stepped back again, tugging the gun from his waistband. "C'mon, let's go. The first down on the left down that hall." He nodded to the hall he was talking about. "Watch your footing on the stairs."

Sage looked at the other as he listened to what the other had said. He really didn't like this human, at all. However, he knew that if he was to get out alive with Kai he would need to think of a way to escape, and what better way to get a feel of his surroundings, but to cooperate. He stopped though his mouth falling open when he heard where Kai might be heading back. Bed? His bed?! What had the other done to Kai? Glancing over at Kai he could tell that there was something a bit off about the other's aura. It wasn't blatantly obvious, but upon closer inspection he could tell that there was something very off about it. He was about to question more, but stopped when he felt Merik tugging on the chains as he unlocked them. Once they were off of him he brought his wrists towards him as he rubbed them to get the stiffness out.
He watched as the other brought out the metal gun again. He knew better than to do anything dumb when that was out. He began walking where the human had told him to go, and soon he was descending down into the what he assumed was the basement. He heeded the other's warning . The steps were slippery with mildew and mold, and it smelled damp in the basement. As he walked down the rest of the stairs he began picking up other magical signatures as well. What was the other keeping down there?

The human followed along after the angel, keeping his hand on the wall when they moved down the old, slippery steps. He was silent, other than to direct the other. The best place for them to be, he decided, was in a room with something else dangerous, and not close to the garage door. Hopefully, then they would head back up. Then Beast would be ready to stop any attempted escapes.
Sage was directed two rooms down, passing the blink cat and the mermaid rooms, with the talking birds on the other, into the room with a harpy. The creature even grossed out Merik. It resembled an old hag, with birds wings and feet, though it didn't seem like it could speak English. Unlike the dragon, the creature was a magical creature. It seemed to feed off negative feelings as well as organs, and it could understand and communicate in English, projecting into Merik's head when it wanted fed. It was demanded, and when it didn't get it's way, loud. Hopefully, the she beast would make plenty of noise if the angel's tried to leave the room.
There were indeed, three empty cages in the room, and Merik nodded to the one closest to the harpy. "In. I want to hear three click from the chains in the bottom. You stay still and quiet, and I'll be back in a minute with a collar for you." If was an electric shock collar, the one he had on the harpy until she'd tugged it off, and before that, it had been on the elf. Since the beast kept breaking it with magic, he'd forced her to enchant it. After the female had received her punishment, she'd willingly enchanted the collar. Hopefully it would hold the angel's magic too. The collar had helped him with so many of his pets, Beast included. "If you ever try to pull the collar off...you'll regret it, I promise..."

Sage could immediately tell that this person was a collector of sorts. As he passed the various rooms he saw mermaids, some kind of teleporting cat, and the talking birds. He was indeed a collector, a collector of magical creatures. Just another reason for the angel to hate him. He listened to what the other said and turned into another room. This room was thick with magic. He could see some kind of feathered mass sitting on a dead tree branch. "A harpy," thought Sage as he was told to go and lock himself back in chains. It took every ounce of resolve that he had to will himself to move forward and lock the chains around his wrists again. Click...Click...Click. There was the right one, and Click...Click...Click. There was the left one. He stood there not making eye contact with Merik or the harpy. He knew all about harpies and the sooner he got out of this area of the basement the better. This time he wasn't going to act up. Maybe he would be that much closer to being moved upstairs if he did.
Kai watched as the events unfolded. Why wasn't the other saving him. He knew that the other could withstand just about any human attack. Then again he should have been able to as well, and look at the predicament that he had gotten himself in. The hellhound was currently guarding him right now so there was no way that he would be able to get very far without it alerting Merik of where he was going. However, his leg was very sore. He needed to move it around a little bit, even though it would probably hurt from the gunshot wound. The least he could do was stretch his legs out by standing up. Glancing at the hellhound he said,"Look I know you can understand me. I'm not going to run. I am just standing up to stretch my legs." He hoped that the other understood him and didn't attack him. The last thing he needed on top of two gunshot wounds, a broken wing, was a dog bite. A rather large dog bite.

Merik listened and watched as Sage moved into the cage, then he shut the door, locking it with a rather large padlock. Before leaving the room, Merik moved close to the harpy's cage, though he stayed far enough so those talons and the woman's beak could reach. "Why hello, little precious. How's my baby today?" The human tauted through the bars. The harpy shrieked and lunged repeatedly against the bars, though they seemed to burn her with each lunge. Merik's grin grew, and he shook his head, mumbling as he left.
It was a mere moments later that he returned. He'd put the collar where he stored most of his 'pet' items, a large locker just a few rooms over. The collar was placed through the bars. "When I come down to feed you, it better be on. You enjoy your room-mate, ne?" His grin grew, and he blew a kiss to the harpy, enraging her further, before moving back upstairs.
The dog hadn't made any move towards the angel. He didn't understand a lot of human words, mostly the actions and what they would mean, but the tone he did understand, and the only one who used that tone was Master. The angel was telling the hellhound what he was going to do. It wasn't pleading or plaintive as if he was lower than the dog, and so the beast made no move towards him. He was still trying to understand the place of this angel. His Master was at the top, but this smelled of a mate, so perhaps this angel was another alpha to obey? Maybe he hadn't been told to guard to keep him here, but guard to protect against the other angel? Beast gave a whine, and lowered himself to the ground.

((Aww, the hellhound is confused))
Sage heard the door close with a rather loud click that echoed through the entirety that was the basement. He watched as the other male taunted the harpy and he had to smile at the other's idiocy. He could hear what the harpy was saying, and right now they shared the same idea. He felt a little bad though as he watched the harpy hit the bars of the cage, and then immediately fly back as if it was hurt. This man was really ruthless. Sage watched as the other male then left the room that he was in only to return with what looked like a loop of black leather with a stylized piece of metal on it. Reaching for it he took it from the other man and placed it around his neck with a click. The metal was cold against his skin, and it made his skin crawl as well. He heard what the other had said about getting him food and his stomach rumbled in response. After a few moments Sage began to feel very weak, as if the very magic was being sucked right out of him. "W-what," he muttered as he slid to the floor in a sitting position. What was wrong with him. It had to be the collar it just had to be.
Kai could tell that the animal wasn't going to attack him as he stood up. It hurt, but he knew that he would have to endure it a little bit if he was to get the majority of the stiffness out. Since the hellhound hadn't made a move at him he hobbled a few paces off to the right away from the couch. He was still in the dog's line of sight so he figured that it would still be alright.

(Yeah...I figured he's based off a dog, may as well give the angel's a fighting chance and put a strong pack dynamic sense into him.)
The harpy seemed to calm as soon as Merik's footsteps faded, and turned her yellow eyes to the angel, evaluating him.
Merik had moved back into the room, and was leaning against the doorframe as Kai hobbled around. Beast was following, thinking he was still supposed to protect the teal angel. He seemed to be crawling with his stomach on the floor, and was whining a bit. Merik chalked it up to the vast amount of tension from the earlier events, and ignored the dog.
"You lied to me." He finally stated. "I asked you if you knew who it was...You could have saved me a lot of trouble. What do you suggest I do about that?"

((Oh my god you remembered that. Kai: o.O -eek-!))
Sage could see that the harpy was evaluating him. He looked around the room. There was another empty cage, but that was it. That meant that there were two full cages. Him and the harpy. He knew, from textbooks, that they understood English speech. He also knew that they couldn't talk, but that they were telepathic. "Harpy," said Sage as he eyed the other sizing up the harpy as she was doing to him. "What is this place of horrors?" He figured that he would try to strike up a conversation with the harpy about a common enemy or a common enemy's place. He wanted to show the other that he was on her side as well.
Kai who had been hobbling around eyed the dog that seemed to be having a fit on its stomach. Raising an eyebrow he continued to walk around, albeit hobble mostly. He stopped though and almost lost his footing when he heard Merik's voice. He didn't want to make eye contact with the other because he knew, (even though the writer forgot) that he had lied. It was true that he had lied. He knew exactly who had come to rescue him, but what difference would that have made had he told him the truth or not. Then again that was the difference between punishment and not being punished. Eyes downcast he went and made his way back to the couch as he sat down thinking of what he could possibly say to save his skin. Lying again would do no harm, so he might as well say the truth and apologize. Well they both knew the truth, so that only left apologizing. "I-I'm sorry," he managed to squeak out as he lifted his gaze a little bit.

(Lmao, I don't forget too much in a roleplay! :P Kai ish in troubles!)
-House of Horrors indeed...the man made cavern where even a harpy's worst nightmares are brought to life...- The harpy answered. The hoarse voice resounding in Sage's head was layered with the creature's aura, and made it clear that her entire makeup comprised of hatred and creating fear. Despite the pure evil in the woman's voice, her voice seemed to hold a tone of one who had seen many things, and was wise even for an immortal creature. -Where dragons and hellhounds are forced to bed. The house even two celestial angels cannot escape.- She was most likely referring to the escape of Kai, and continued . In this house lives the human Merik...he thinks himself above all creatures meant to devour him...how I long for the day to return to the second circle and await for his passage through hell...I will personally rip him apart over and over...and relish at his screams... Her eyes seemed to glint with hatred.
"Sorry?...Sorry..." Merik repeated the statement, as if rolling it over his tongue. "Nope. I don't think sorry will work...You disobeyed and lied...you deserve a punishment...I'll give you a chance to decide it. If not, you'll do as I wish...and I won't be easy..."

((-whimpers-))
Sage nodded his head as he listened to what the other was saying. He knew that there were horrible people that lived on Earth and the evil people ended up going to Hell. However, since he was a celestial being he was against sending people to Hell. However, in this particular circumstance he was willing to make a exception. This man deserved that and much more for what he had done to himself, the harpy, Kai, and the other creatures that were held captive here. The harpy seemed a bit of a conversationalist so he said,"My name is Sage. Might I ask what your name is?" Anything to keep him from going stir crazy here in this cell.
Kai stared at the other as he repeated what he had said. He knew that he was in for it. He shuddered when he heard the other say that it wasn't good enough. He was going to get it. "I would like to choose for myself," said Kai as he looked directly at Merik to make sure that the other had heard him. Then again the other could also choose to ignore him as well. If he was going to choose his own punishment then maybe he would take the lesser of the two evils.

-Names are for those who need them...I am called whatever you wish to call me.- It stated. The female turned away then, her talons reaching out to grip at the cage. Her skin steamed, and she jerked it away, shrieking. Still, she continued to try, in multiple places all over the cage.
"Then choose." Merik invited with a smile, holding his hand out and waving it near his waist, trying to hurry the angel up. "Make it fit your crime, however...otherwise I'll do what you suggest, and add my own."

Sage could tell that his last comment probably was a conversation killer so he left it at that. Whatever the collar was doing to him was making him feel really weak. "These collars," he started. "Do they drain your magic, and what happens if you try to take them off." He remembered what the other had said about regretting it, but regretting what.
Kai looked at the other through fearful eyes. He had to choose. He thought that he would have been given choices, and then he would have to pick from that. He grimaced when he heard the other say that it would be added to what the other already had planned. Maybe it would have been better for the other to pick for him. Since then it probably would have just been the one punishment, only more severe. He could heal his body with his regenerative powers so he didn't need to worry about that. He bit his lower lip as he thought. There wasn't much else the other could do to him. He had already been shot twice, and he had a broken wing. Blurting out the first thing that came to mind he said," Whipping." He then looked at the other wondering if he would let that one slide.

The harpy turned to the male, a rather human-like expression of annoyance on it's face. He had it on me for a while...I used my spit to wiggle it off...It hurt me...like the bars, but worse... She thought for several long minutes before speaking again. It went all through my body, but I'm not sure what caused it...I think it almost killed me... She finally stated simply, noting that such a feat was hard.
Merik's grin grew even broader, and he moved closer. "Whipping, huh?" The smile faded, and Merik stared off into the distance. "Nah...not for lying. It would have to be far worse." He paused to look around the room. Not finding anything to suit his needs, he shrugged. "Out to the barn, I suppose." It wasn't like Kai could run or fly. He would make the other walk, however. Part of the punishment factor.

Sage listened to what the other had said as he nodded. Coming to the conclusion that the other had something to do with his current predicament was probably right. He continued to sit on the cold cement of the cage as he glanced around trying to figure a way out. He wanted to get out so he could help Kai, for he knew that the other was in a very bad predicament himself, probably more severe than his own.
Kai glanced at the other from behind his teal colored bangs. He had hoped that the other would not agree to his own decided punishment, and opt out for something much less painful. However, he was pretty sure that he got no such luck. Standing to his feet he had to steady himself as he felt the searing pain from his bullet wound. The other had stitched him up so at least it wouldn't be bleeding anymore, but by no means did that mean that the pain was gone. Nodding his head he looked at Merik and said,"Yes, master." Right now he was too tired to fight the other, and he just wanted the day to be over with. He wanted to see Sage again, and that meant he needed to be on his best behavior.

The harpy calmed eventually, and relaxed on a large stick placed in her cage. A comfort won from a small feat of obedience, most likely.
Merik led the way outside to the barns. Even the stalls there were more like cages, bars covered with chicken wire, as well as a generator that ran the electric cages, inside the house and outside, separate from the house's electricity. A few centaurs, Pegasus, and even a unicorn stared solemnly out. Merik pointed to a hay bale. "Lay down."
(Should we like...take it off mene for this? I dunno how pg13 it is...would we get into trouble?)
