((Pfft, lol sorry...getting RP's mixed up I answer your RP and then immediately go to Arc Angel's RP to update. So sorry. I was doing back and forth with the two of your RP's and got a tad confused, obviously, lol))

Katon quickly followed the other male out of the apartment, down the hallway, down the stairs, and out towards the front door. He was excited, and that was saying a lot for the demon because the other rarely showed emotions. He felt almost giddy, as odd as that sounded. Walking behind the other he stopped once they exited the building. He was immediately assaulted with a bright flash of light. The sun. Squinting a little bit he ended up closing his eyes completely as he tried to mentally prepare himself for opening his eyes again. In the demonic realm they didn't have a sun, like that was a surprise to anyone. It was either night time or sometime around twilight where the sun was always setting, so this was very different to the other. Once he thought that he was outside for a sufficient amount of time he cracked his eyes open slowly. The sun wasn't as bad as previously.

Once his eyes adjusted he looked around his surrounds in awe. There were people all around him, tall, tall buildings, and flying colored metal box contraception that went flying down the road at high speed in straight lines. "Maybe, thought Katon. "I should come up here more often." A lot really had changed in 200 or so years. "So since you've lived in the city a lot longer than I have where do you want to go? He figured that he would just follow the other around taking in the sites, smells, and sounds.

((lol It's no big deal haha but since I read your other rp it got me mixed up too! ><))

Turning to glance back at the amethyst haired man, Garrick frowned a little upon seeing him close his eyes. Curiosity had him moving a little closer, until he came to the obvious conclusion. There wouldn't be any sun where he came from, of course! Chuckling a little after hearing Katon's question, he moved to the side to look up and down the street. If they went one way they'd end up in the chinese district, and the other was going to lead them towards where the other restaurants and stores were.

Thinking about it for a few moments more, Garrick grinned. Either way was going to be fun, but he needed to get some grocery shopping done. He was just glad he'd chosen to grab his backpack before leaving the apartment. "Alright come on, this way." Setting a quick pace, they reached Seward Park faster then Garrick had thought they would. Maybe Katon would like taking a little while to look the place over and see some of the green left in the city. There wasn't enough in Garrick's opinion. He didn't like New York much at all. The only reason he stayed there was for his research, he could get anything at all that he needed without drawing too much attention to himself.

Katon was glad that his eyes were quick to adjust because no sooner had he was dashing down the street after the other male. He didn't really know where he was going in this alien world, and to be honest he was getting a tad bit freaked out. There were so many people around him, and it was just so noisy. It was so different from the underworld and its stunning silence. The silence that was almost deafening, however, here it really brought the word deafening to a whole new level. Trailing after the other he found that they were beginning to descend down the steps into the underground. It was much colder down here, even though there were people everywhere. There were people that had strange contraptions placed towards their head. "Communication devices?" thought Katon as he found himself staring at the various people. Some of the people even seemed to be talking to themselves. It was rather mind boggling. Some bumped into him and said some rather crude things to him. Narrowing his eyes he was about to flombay the other, but deciding that that was probably not the best course of action especially in public.

He grabbed the others trailing hand bringing himself closer to the other. He was getting really nervous in the crowd of people. He just wanted to be out in the open again. He hoped that they would be wherever they had to get to soon.

Squeezing trough the people who crowded together like bouquets of weeds might have seemed impossible, but Garrick managed with practiced ease. For a few moments the young man forgot that Katon followed behind him until a hand found his own. Smiling a little, more like grinning, Garrick turned his grey eyes to the demon for a few moments before turning his attention to the subway cars. Paying for the both of them, the wizard tugged his guest onto one of the emptier cars.

With a relieved sigh he snatched a seat and motioned for Katon to join him. Once the other had, he leaned slightly against him while feigning fatigue. "Don't worry, after the shopping portion of this trip is done and we've put everything away I'll bring you to a park." A beautiful park, probably Central. Though it might be busy, there were always out of the way places that people forgot about. Garrick had done all he could to find those nooks and crannies in order to get some peace and quiet outside.

Katon was glad that the other was able to pay his way for the both of them. He had no idea what the people around him were using. Pieces of plastic with what he assumed were numbers and letters on them. How could something like that have money on it. The human world was so confusing. Letting out a sigh he was glad that the other slowed down a little bit, albeit he was still weeding his way through the people everywhere. How could so many people exist. Last time he was in the mortal realm they were all dying from some kind of plague or another, it was a lot less crowded.

Katon got dragged onto some sleek looking metal contraption. "This must be some kind of transportation device,"thought Katon as he looked around towards the people that were either standing while holding onto some kind of rope thing, or sitting in the cushy red seats. He felt the other fall against him. He was amazed that his first reaction wasn't to push the other away. He wasn't a very touchy feely kind of demon, but he didn't know what brought out his more demure personality around the other. It was truly confusing and vexing at the same time. "Shopping," thought Katon. He knew what that was. It was buying things. Then again whenever he walked around the market or the bazaar people just gave him whatever he wanted. He figured that it would be different here though. "That sounds," he began as the train lurched forward speeding towards their destination. Letting out a yelp he threw his arms around the other and held on for dear life.

Garrick couldn't help it. As the subway train lurched forward and Katon's arms wrapped around him he started laughing, it was more of a chuckle really. Bringing up an arm he wrapped it lightly around the demon's. "Katon, what has you so worried?" Even though he had a good idea, Garrick slipped lightly into a teasing tone to prod at the world displaced man. Looking up and around at the crowd of people, so much like a gathering of penguins waddling about, made Garrick grimace slightly. The crowds were probably the worst things about the subway.

All the strangeness was a good excuse to cuddle closer to Katon though. Garrick didn't know why it was so important to him to be close to the demon so soon after meeting him. It wasn't just a fascination with his people, hi magic or his knowledge. The puzzling thoughts ran trough the wizard's mind as quickly as the train they sat in. It rumbled forward with flashing lights guiding the way trough the otherwise dark tunnels without regard for any scuttling creature that might have lay in the way. What that said about humans, Garrick did not even want to think about.

Katon continued to cling onto the other willing for whatever demonic, no irony there, contraption this was to stop. It was true that he was in a lighted area, but right now all he wanted was the dark, cold solitude of the demonic world right now. After he steadied his nerves a little bit more he was able to crack his eyes open to look at his surroundings. There were people around him. Some standing, which he couldn't even fathom how they could with all the movement, there were some sitting, and it appeared that some of them were sleeping as well. Glancing over at Garrick he could see the other's enjoyment about over his own plight.

He remembered that the other had said that they were going shopping. He wondered briefly what they would be selling at the various stores. It was probably very different from his own bazaars and stores. As the two of them sat there he wanted to ask the other more about himself. He was very vague in describing his life. He wanted to know more about the other. Heck, if he was going to stay with him for the foreseeable future he might as well get to know the other. He was about to ask the other what he liked to do in his free time when the train came to a sudden lurch and he found himself sliding towards Garrick again landing him across the other's lap. Fumbling to get up he managed to as he sat there trying to think of something to say to make the awkward tension go away. "So," he started. "Is this our stop?" He hoped that it was.

Movement after movement, Garrick swayed with the motion of the train without a second thought. As it came to a halt he glanced down with slight amusement at Katon before breaking into a large grin. "Yeah it is. Come on." Standing without a second thought the dark haired young man grasped the demon's arm and proceeded to tug him along behind him. Once out of the train it was up the cement steps into the sunlight where people crowded on the sidewalks with shopping bags full to the brim of clothing and whatever else was being sold in the area.

Letting his grey eyes rove the area in search of a particular store, Garrick found a grin slipping across his features. Glancing up at Katon, he motioned towards the shopping mall nestled between two smaller stores. "Alright time to get some shopping done. I don't have too much cash on me, but we should be able to get you a few things." Whatever the amethyst haired man might want, hopefully it was easy to carry. Too many bags ready to burst would make travling difficult, even if there was two of them to carry the things.

Katon nodded his head as he heard Garrick say that they had come to their destination. "Finally," thought Katon as he left through the metal sliding doors after the other on shaky feet. He was glad to be off of that contraption. He felt the other grab his hand, and he tightened his hand around the others. Glad that the other was near him. He was certain that he would get lost in the crowd for sure had it not been for the other male. The came up the concrete stairs back into the blaring light and he squinted again. Maybe being underground was better after all.

He glanced at the other when he heard Garrick say that he didn't have much money. Why didn't the other just ask him to conjure some. It shouldn't be that hard. It was just paper with some pretty numbers and letters on it right. Not to mention his magic would get through all of the identifiers so it would look authentic to even the trained eye. "Alright," replied Katon as he took in his surroundings. "Alright," replied Katon. "Lead the way." Katon was intrigued to figure out how such tall structures were able to stand so high in the air. Even the buildings down in the demonic realm weren't that tall. How did they not fall over?

Moving with the flow of people across the street, Garrick found a smile blooming across his features. Like the tide, the crowds ebbed and flowed as people slipped away to find their destinations. As they did so, Garrick tugged Katon towards the large mall. Going trough the sliding doors the young man stopped in his tracks to glance over each shop. There were so many, and he'd no idea what kind of things Katon liked. In truth he'd no real knowledge about the other man. What a saddening thought that was.

"So where shall we begin?" With a glance of his grey eyes at the other male, he felt unexpected heat rising to his cheeks at the thought of spending more time with him. This was definitely much more then he'd bargained for. Taking the time to hide flushing cheeks by peering at some of the stores, Garrick let out a small sigh.

((you always have wonderful fashion sense))

Katon continued to follow after the other as he bumped into a few more people that decided to glare at him. He didn't know how to return the rude look so he just smiled at him. Sometimes he had a snide sense of humor. As the two of them walked he heard the sound of something sliding open and soon he was engulfed by the sense that he was too cold. What was going on? It had been a nice sunny, warm day, and now he was freezing cold. Huddling in his jacket a little bit he calmed himself down so he wasn't shivering as bad. This was so much different from the blazing hot, even at night, temperature of the Demonic Realm. As he looked around the store he would see some of the different stores with their neon light signs. Glancing around his eyes landed on a shop sign that was black and red. It was something called Hot Topic. He saw people his and Garrick's own age walking in and out of it. Pointing he looked at the other and said,"I want to go there." The clothing that he had seen in the window reminded him of the style of clothing that he wore on his "off days" in the realm of demons. So surely he would be able to find something that he liked there.

((I try ^^))

Following the direction of his guest's finger, the wizard smiled. Of course he would choose that store. There was certainly going to be something there for Katon, and maybe Garrick would even get himself a pair of new pants as well. "Good choice." As he spoke the dark haired young man moved expertly trough the crowded mall while tugging Katon along with him. Losing the demon wasn't an option. Who knew what kind of trouble he'd get to on his own?

Once into the store, Garrick smiled and let go of Katon's hand. "Alright, go find what you want but don't take too long." Crowds, such large crowds! Would any of them know what he was? Shuddering at the thought, Garrick turned away to cast his grey eyes upon the merchandise with a frown. He just needed to stay calm and composed, everything would be perfectly fine.

Katon was glad that the other was able to expertly maneuver through the crowd. He was the general of the fallen army, he could execute complicated military maneuvers, but he also knew that he would never be able to manage this. There were just too many people. Walking into the store after the other he was immediately assaulted with the sound of some raging guitar music and screaming lyrics. Sometimes having super sensitive hearing had its disadvantages. Wincing a little he tried to focus at the task at hand. Finding something nice to wear. He glanced over at the other from time to time as he looked at the various clothes. Picking out a form fitting pair of jeans and a red shirt that had some odd looking logo on it he walked into the back where one of the changing rooms was.

Stripping down he hastily got dressed as he turned around in the mirror. He had to admit he looked good in "mortal" clothing. He really wanted to get these, but then he remembered that the other had said that he didn't have very much money. Frowning a little bit he decided that he would conjure up some money. It wouldn't be that hard to make counterfeit bills, and he also had magic on his side so he could make them look real. Changing back he walked out with the clothes draped over his shoulder as he looked at the other and said,"Here I know it's not much, but thanks for taking care of me." He then shoved the money towards the other. It was the least he could do for the other after all.

Garrick had wandered about looking at the clothing almost longingly. Some of these things looked so nice, but he didn't have the luxury of having enough money to buy whatever he wanted. It didn't bother the wizard, he had things far more important to worry about. The darkness lurking beneath the surface, the traces of magic in the world , that was what concerned Garrick. Grey eyes flitting form place to place, he bobbed his head lightly to the music.

There were some things of this world that he liked, though not very many. Music was one of them. With a start he looked up after hearing Katon's voice. A light tinge of pink covered his cheeks as he accepted the money. "Thanks." Shaking his head slightly, Garrick grinned. "Did you get everything you wanted?" Other words hovered unsaid at Garrick's lips. There were some things best left till they were alone away from the crowds.

Katon glanced at the other man and nodded towards the other. He hadn't really wanted tog get anything in the first place, but he wanted to make the other happy. Garrick had gone out of his way after all to take him to a place where they could go shopping. Besides, it was new to him. He had servants that usually went shopping for him, and when he did go out to the various store fronts it was usually to get away from some royal duty or another which meant that he was paying more attention to staying away from the guards that he was looking for rather than the things around him. This was a new experience for him on multiple levels. "Ya I did," replied Katon as he showed him the pair of pants and the shirt. He then thought thinking that it would be polite for him to ask the other the same thing. "Did you find anything that you liked?" As he stood there he thought for a moment. He really didn't know a lot about the other man. Sure, he knew that the other was a sorcerer, that he was able to summon him if accidental or not, and that he lived in this strange city. Other than that he didn't know much about him, and this troubled him.

As he thought about this his stomach rumbled a little bit, and he looked down. He wondered if the other had heard it over the rather loud pulsing music. This reminded him that he hadn't eaten much that whole day even in the Demon Realm. He just adviser meetings after adviser meetings, and he didn't have time to eat anything beforehand.

Reaching out for the clothing Katon had chosen, Garrick smiled. "I saw somethings, but I don't like them enough to get them." Except there was one thing in the store he liked very much, luckily there was no need to pay. They were getting to know each other slowly. Shrugging, the young man flipped the clothing over his shoulder and moved over to the smooth counter to pay. The money he handed over had the slight feel of magic to it. It was real, down to the way the ink might appear under a magnifying glass. Only someone with magic might be able to figure out that it was fake. The chances of that happening were basically nil.

Returning to Katon's side Garrick shot him an amused look. "Getting hungry I see. I bet you've never had a hamburger before." Chuckling lightly to himself the brown haired man reached out to tug his guest along. Once more pluging into the crowd he made his way towards the food court. If everywhere else in the mall had appeared busy, this was the center of it all.

Katon was glad the other hadn't refused the money, he was just trying to help after all. He felt himself flush a little bit though when he heard the other ask if he was hungry. That had meant that the other had heard his stomach over the roar of the music around them. "I suppose so," replied Katon as he put his hand on his head and rubbed his hair in embarrassment. He then heard the other talking about something called a hamburger. He knew what ham was. He was a meat eater after all. There were many times that he had had ham, mostly during more special occasions since even in the demonic realm meat didn't come cheap. He, however, didn't know what the other walk saying about a burger. What was a burger? Shaking his head he looked at the other and tried his best at a smile as he said,"No, I have never had." he paused and cleared his throat thinking about how the other had said the word. "I have never had a hamburger before." He felt kind of foolish about not knowing what this hamburger the other was talking about was, but in his defense he hadn't been to the mortal realm in about 200 or so odd years. In his defense a lot had changed.

Chuckling a little Garrick reached out without thinking to grasp Katon's hand in his own. He was becoming used to the simple contact in a way that boded no good at all for the demon. The wizard would never let him go, would never release him for fear that he would never get to see him again. It was selfish, and deceptive, but that was what would happen. Tugging the demon behind him, Garrick moved quickly trough the crowd until they arrived at the food court. With a smile he motioned for Katon to sit at a table.

Once the other man had, or if he chose to follow him, Garrick walked to one of the many burger serving fast food restaurants and ordered two meals. One with onion rings, the other with fries, and two types of burgers. Bringing the whole back he grinned as he set the food down before Katon. "Alright time to try something new. When we get back, it'll be your turn to show me something ... Delicious." Garrick was back to prodding again, but this time a hint of pink rose to his cheeks as his mind wandered off.

Katon felt his hand being grasped again, and soon enough the two of them were speeding through the crowd. He was getting used to people being clustered around him. When he was at the bazaar people would part away from him like the red sea. It was one of the perks of being a high ranked military officer. Soon they ended up in a place with a lot of tables, the smell of what he assumed was food, the sound of laughter, and the sound of food being made. He did as he was told and sat down in an iron chair as he waited for the other to come back.

As the minutes ticked by he became a little nervous that the other had abandoned him here, for his own amusement, but no sooner had he thought that the other male had come back with a tray piled high with things that were wrapped in different colored papers. Raising an eyebrow as he looked at the food that was presented to him he waited for the other to make the first move. He wondered briefly if he should eat the entire thing, including the thing that it was wrapped in or if he was supposed to unwrap it and then eat it. Scratch that he would just wait for the other to show him what to do. He felt so helpless at times. He chuckled when he heard the hidden connotation in the other's voice about trying something. He figured that he might as well play along for a little bit, it might be fun. "I don't think you could handle me," replied Katon as he smirked when he noticed the other's cheeks were tinged pink.

He'd been unwrapping a hamburger when he heard Katon's words. Wide eyed, he nearly choked. Garrick reached out for his pop and took a few sips before finding the courage to say anything. In a comic parody of seduction he tried to paste on a suave knowing look, but only managed to seem like something he'd swallowed didn't agree with him. "Maybe I'd like to find that out for myself." Garrick knew it was a miserable attempt, he just knew it!

Lapsing into embarrassed silence the young man began to eat up his food quietly. Nudging the plastic shopping bag at his feet absentmindedly the brown haired man looked at everything and everyone save his companion. An arcade's lights and sounds filled the air nearby, clashing with the sound of the latest singles favored by the crowds playing everywhere.

Katon broke out into a smile when he saw the other's face. Maybe he had struck some form of a nerve. He at least made the other feel uncomfortable, and that was a small victory in its own right. He eyed the other as he saw the thing in the other's hand being unwrapped. The smell of bread and cooked meat emanated around the entire area. His mouth began to water as he saw the other take a bite from his own food. He then took a wrapped hamburger from the tray, unwrapped it, and then took a bite out of it. Chewing thoughtfully he thought for a moment before," This is delicious," said Katon as he swallowed another bite of his food. He eyed the yellow looking straws that were in the cardboard. Those smelled good as well. The humans had some good food indeed. He didn't regret getting dragged here now. Garrick was showing him an entire new world, and he was enjoying every moment of it.

Reaching out absentmindedly to eat a few fries, the young man grinned. Well at least his guest was enjoying himself. He was more of a prisoner, but Garrick hadn't yet told him that. "I'm glad you like it." A sudden thought made the dark haired man blush furiously. With a quick stuttered excuse, he stood to stretch and averted his eyes from the amethyst haired demon. There was no way he would set him free. None at all. "Is there anything you would stay in this world for?" The crowd was so loud, it didn't matter if he asked such a question. People babbled to each other all around without any idea that something magical sat in their midst.

((Argh oh my goodness. I am so sorry for the lateness. I have been severely depressed lately. My dog died after 14 years on Wednesday. I am fine now, and in the recovery stage of grieving. Again I am sorry)).

Katon watched Garrick dig into the cardboard box and bring out some of the yellow looking straws to his mouth and eating them. He figured then that it was safe to eat some of them as well. They tasted salty, but they also had a sweetness as well, and he smiled as he relished the taste. He glanced at the other as he heard his question. Stay on Earth? Why would he do something silly like that? He was a demon from the Demonic Realm, why would he have a need to stay on Earth permanently? He thought though, hard, on the other's question. "Well," he began. "I never really thought of it to be honest. I guess the experience of being on Earth is what could keep me here. At least for the time being. I haven't been to the Earth in about 200 or so odd years so a lot of things have changed since I last visited." He took a drink from his beverage. "Why would you ask me something like that?" He wondered why the other asked him such an odd question, but he decided that the least that he could do was let the other explain it to him.

((*hug* It's alright, you definitely had a good reason! ))

That certainly put a wrench in Garrick's half formed plans. Letting out a sigh, he leaned his elbows and peered at Katon with calculating eyes. He supposed answering the question truthfully might be a good idea. At least the demon wouldn't be under any false ideas. Of course he would try to escape, Garrick was almost certain of that. Still he preferred that then letting the other man return to the demon realms so he could lapse into loneliness again. "Because I don't intend on letting you leave." Not even a day and already he'd decided to keep the demon like some kind of pet! It wasn't going to be easy. At least by telling the amethyst haired man here, in such a crowded place, there was the chance any outburst he had would be controlled.

Katon eyed the other with a rather perplexed kind of look. He couldn't read Garrick's emotions. He hadn't been very good at that before hand, with anyone for that matter, but he usually was at least able to slightly tell the emotions that other people were displaying. Right now, the male in front of him was making that utterly impossible. He was like a completely blank slate. He then heard the other say that he wasn't going to let him leave. He let out a bark of a laugh. Like the human could actually do anything to keep him there. Sure, he had placed a binding spell on him earlier when he had first arrived, it was crude at best, and he knew that he would be able to break it within the next few weeks. He wasn't ready to however, for there was still so much more of the human realm that he wanted to see. Hopefully, Garrick didn't know about his mishaps with the binding circle, and he would be able to get away without consequence.

He had to hand it Garrick though. The other was smart. By telling him this in a crowded place the other knew that he was less likely to act out or get out of control. Then again he was a demon of the underworld, it might be interesting from time to time to shake things up. He decided not to though as he took another fry, popping it into his mouth as he chewed thoughtfully on it. Swallowing he looked at the other with his arms crossed as he said,"And what makes you think that you can keep me here?"
