Actually I've been reading a bunch of the early pokemon stuff. I didn't realize that Red had originally been paired with Green in Japan. Blue came out later. That's why it was FireRed and LeafGreen, instead of FireRed and WaterBlue.

Shi got Blue later when Blockbuster had a sale. X3

I still think it's neat you got to play a version of the first gen as your first game. :3
